Leather On My Shoes

At the age of 40 a dream came true and I was afforded the chance to fly to Kentucky USA and record an album with an old friend of mine along with some top Nashville players.
During the sessions, I pulled out this song from "Flying Colours" which had always been one of my favorites because of the powerful lyrics and melody. Immediately the players all got excited and said yeah! yeah! And we recorded it right then and there in about 2 takes. The Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro and Penny Whistle add a distinct down-home mix of Irish Celtic and Kentucky bluegrass. I hope you enjoy it. - Now my only dream is the chance to sing it live with Chris onstage… (That's why they're called dreams!)
