Hi Chris, I just finished a book from Ian MCEwan, called "At chesil beach". It is a story about a young love in the 1960ths and the problems of two just married people to show their real emotions. MC Ewan told antoher story in that book, the legend of Chesil Beach. Did you know that sailors, when their ships landed in a foggy night, could see their right position, when they looked at the millions of stones on the beach? In one part of the beach the stones are bigger and every mile you go, the stones will be smaller,so sailors could notice where they were.
One scene in the story was at the Fleet Laguna not far from Moonfleet. I am looking forward to visit the place next week.
Regards from my son David, who is very annoyed about Liverpool vs Utrecht.

Kudos to the "makers" of this new styled website - you've done a great job!
I really enjoyed visiting it and I really enjoyed to listen to the new songs of the Moonfleet album and the interview with Chris.
I have read the book "Moonfleet" in the original English version and I can understand Chris' enthusiasm for it.
I always loved the songs with a story behind, you can find on nearly every single album and it seems again to become a great album and I am so glad already to have tickets for the concert in Munich next year.
I am so much looking forward to this album and this concert.

Hi Chris,
I`ve just listened to the soundclips of "Moonfleet", and my very first and fresh impression is: It's a story, It's it's a musical, it's a movie, and very, very Irish!! Which I absolutely love, and I am looking so much forward to hearing the real, whole piece of music in a few weeks. I also think it is great that you took up "Heart of Darkness" again, as a main theme throughout the story, obviously; a song I`ve always liked a lot, but never had the opportunity to listen to in a live concert; so in 2011, hopefully.
What more can I say than it will be one life, one (musical) love for me with this next album oy yours?
Hugs, Sibylle. Got to go now to listen again.

Hi Chris,
sorry, a little typing mistake in my prvious entry. It was supposed to be:
While many singers have released a whole DVD ...
Anyway, as I was curious if it's really you chatting with us fans and not someone who just types in your dictated comments, I finally registered with Twitter and Facebook. I was happy to see that it's really you on facebook.
I think you were online sunday evening when I registered but I didn't know how to talk to you. Facebook is completely new to me and I have to make myself familiar with it now (e.g. how do I see who's online? how can I actually talk to you and get a reaction back from you and so on). Msybe I'm more familiar with facebook soon and it's possible to talk like you obviously do with the others. I could just see that some fans have posted something that you wrote a comment to, but I couldn't find out if you answered to them or else.
This whole facebook thing is a complete new world of chatting for me.
Cheers,
Monica

Hi Chris,
I found the videoclip of "Everywhere I go" on youtube. Great that it's available for us fans.
I've always wondered why the record companies have rarely released videoclips of your songs. While many singers have relased a while DVD with all their clips, there's hardly anything from you regarding all your past songs. From past to present, there have only been a handful of videoclips of your old songs released.
"Everywhere I go" is already a catchy tune in my ears. I guess that will be my favourite one from your new album.
Cheers,
Monica

Hi Chris,
I'm a life-long fan! I've been listening to your music since I was a teenager in Iran. I wrote this post about you on my weblog back in '07: http://reza-in-malaysia.blogspot.com/2007/03/chris-de-burgh.html. I'm now learning to play the piano and one of my main motivators is to be able to play and sing your songs.
It's great to see you're still full of energy and producing new albums. I'll be sure to listen to "Moonfleet & Other Stories". And I hope to catch you at a concert in Canada!

Dear Chris,
I send you many greetings from Praha/Prag/Prague (we returned by car). It's great to stay in a hotel (Amedia/theatrino) which once was a theatre and to have breakfast in the high theatre hall - still with the little stage. It makes it possible to dream of an artist... :) To go by the old trams together with ordinary Czech people is such a good feeling. The flair of the city, hundreds (!!!) of impressive buildings (four etages or so), the architecture, the castle, the Moldau, Kaluv most, towers, churches, synagogues, radnice, art, the Japanese tourists, the Czech cuisine, Pilsner Urquell.... Tomorrow it's back home again.
Love from Prague, Gerlinde

Hi Chris: I just wanted to Thank you for ALL of the beautiful memories your music has created over the years. My first concert experience of your music was when you "opened" for Supertramp, and from there, I was hooked. I have made it to a concert on every tour you have made through Canada since the Eastern Wind tour, and I hope and pray you will include Canada on your Moonfleet tour. Your amazing light and energy is "one of a kind" and I can't wait to get the "Moonfleet and Other Stories" CD when it is released in Canada. Thanks again, Chris, and I look forward to your next tour through Canada.

Hi Chris
sorry it's taken me a little while, but finally I'm here to say a BIG THANK YOU for the two amazing concerts that I attended in Rastatt and Mainz, I was worried when you came on at Rastatt as I thought you looked tired having not been well, but being the true professional that you are, you soldiered on and made sure your adoring fans were able to greet you on the steps with their gifts. But then came Mainz where I was able to attend my very first soundcheck where you were in fine form and excellent voice and so obliging(!) before you left the souncheck, I knew then that we were going to have a wonderful evening in your company, and of course you didn't dissapoint, it's amazing how you have such an effect on us, one minute I'm sitting on row 5, the next everyone fills the front area and the next minute there I was at the practically at foot of the steps, how did I get there!!!It must have been your magnetsim that pulled me there or maybe just my sheer determination to enjoy myself to the very end of the show, which of course I did, never could I have expected to have had such a fantastic time in such beautiful surroundings and with very good friends made because of you, so until Moonfleet..... love always, Pauline "The Yorkshire Rose" XX

Chris, I´ve forgotten some thing: I saw my first football match in Anfield, LFC vs Trapzomspor a few weeks ago. We had nice tickets for Reds Bar and seats in the fourth row, very close to the field. Amazing thing to follow a match in Liverpool very strange to German football, so I had to sing "You´ll never walk alone" with all the other guys, very funny. Did I write, you catched a cold? Sorry for that mistake, I didn`t learn my irregular verbs seriously, of course you caught it. That happens when you are talking to someone while signing into CdeB´s guestbook. Andrea

Hi Chris, I hope you enjoyed the tour days in germany even you catched a cold. Everyone is unwell at time, it´s too cold for September! After we watched the promo video of "Moonfleet" we decided to visit the place during our autumn break in october. First we will stay on the Isle of Wight for one week, also well known for smugglers stories and hidden treasures, our second week we will spend just 60 km away from Fleet in Dorset. It is so close, that we had the idea to visit your favourite bay of Moonfleet. Especially our youngest son Jonathan, 7, is very interested in pirate stories, like every boy in his age. He likes the new promo poster very well, with the big ship and waves in the backround. ( It is hanging on my entrance door in the hallway of our Berlin apartement, and everyone, who notice it says: When you go to the concert on March 2011, I will join you ). When we are back in the end of october I will write about our impressions at Moonfleet. Regards from Berlin, Andrea and family

Hi Chris,
thank you for your amazing shows!
I was lucky enough to see four of them this summer and they had lots of unforgettable moments for me.
First of all of course your fantastic music, your wonderful voice, all the joy that you express when you are on stage, your wonderful way of involving the audience, the great band, the fantastic new songs, oh I could go on endlessly. I enjoyed also very much to meet so many nice people of the fan community, to have the opportunity to make a whole short holiday at Lake Constance and to discover new places during the past two weeks. But most of all I enjoyed to see you so close to my home in Mainz! I´m so happy to read all the nice comments on that concert and glad that so many people (who came from far away) and obviously also you loved the wonderful atmosphere.
Thanks again for three wonderful weekends, I´m still High on Emotion!

PS: I will never forget to moment of the soundcheck, when you went through the barrier tape to say Hello to us!!

Hi Chris,
thank you SO MUCH for the fantastic concerts - you are absolutely right about the great party under the stars in Mainz, it was the perfect venue, weather, band and singer :-) to finish off with the German Summer (Autumn/Winter...)-tour. God, I nearly danced my feet off ... :-) And all those people around, looking down at the stage from their apartments, and some more in the cafés at the venue, watching and listening and enjoying the concert! Even the Dom of Mainz with its bells became part of the show!
I can hardly wait for "Moonfleet".

Thank you very much for another fantastic concert. Love your music since 28 !! years – it’s absolutely crazy – time runs by so fast.
Your concerts are still honest and warm, from the first I visited in 1985 till now,
So this is possible, if somebody really loves what he does – like you. I hope to get tickets for MOONFLEET Tour next year too – maybe for Dublin. Till then I will listen to your new Album.
Thank you so much for the chance to take some pictures during “Lady in red”. The pictures are wonderful and will be my screensavers on my computer for a very long time..
Wish you a lot of inspiration for the new project, greetings to your band, especially Al and David. See you again next year, Ariane

Thank you for the fantastic time "on tour with you and your band". It was the first time my sister and I went to 6 of your concerts in a row. At first we weren't sure we would like it, but now I must say we loved and enjoyed every minute. When the show was over last night I was really sad that you and the band will be gone for a while. Good thing I already have my tickets for the Moonfleet Tour!
Many greetings to the band, especially David and Al who we happened to meet in Meersburg and who were really nice.
I am still all impressed by the way Al plays the guitar. He's amazing!
Can't wait for March to come.
See you all then.

I wish to thank you for so many things. As a young soldier in Germany in the early 80's I learned of your music. So many of your songs fit my situation at the time. A young soldier far from home, my nights in the very cold German winter forests. Over 25 years of hearing your music and I never loose the desire to hear a bit more or "that" song one more time.
