Hi Chris,

I've read "Moonfleet" and now I'm very excited for your songs which have been inspired by the novel. I can understand why you love this book. I don't want to write a more detailed impression here for it's too long, so please wait for my letter to come to read more about my thoughts for the novel.
I'm wondering now if the town "Moonfleet" has really existed in that century (and maybe still exists but renamed).

I hope you'll read my letter.

Greetings from your biggest fan,
Monica

Dear Chris,

I love the new song. Thanks for giving us a taste of the new album. Looking forward very much to hearing the rest. After seeing our own human rights abuses during the G20 in downtown Toronto last week-end it is very easy to relate to the sentiments expressed in the song.

Oh My dear lovely Chris,
I always have your songs and beautiful words and lyrica deep in my heart and on my mind which are the most emotional.
When I heard the song for Neda the innocent girl who died for seeking the freedom not just for herself but for her people,I couldn't help listening to it many times.
We Iranian people deserve much better and much more beatiful life than this.
Anyway, BIg Big hugs for you and LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS of Thanks for caring about us.
I always Love you and your exqusite songs.

I learned English, fell in and out of love a couple of times, cried over war and soldiers with your songs.

"People of The World" is so touching and It was a wonderful way to return Iranian people's love for you.

hopefully someday you will perform this song in free Iran and you will see millions of people know you and love you.

What a beautifull song is "People of the world", I hope that it means for the whole world! The song is written to Neda, but there are so many people like her: so let's pray for everyone who's not living in a free country, or feel free: I hope soon the day will come that everyone is living in freedom, good health en feels happy!
Thank you Chris for this beauty lyric:
God bless you!!

Dear Chris,

Thank you for the song "People of the World". As a fan, I like it very well and as long as people fight for peace and freedom, it also give hope.

I personally do not believe in a world peace. We humans are no longer create. As long as money rules everything and everyone on the planet only seeks his own advantage and power prevails and Koruption there will always be people who will suffer for these objectives.

Money rules the world.

A pity, because our world could be so beautiful. It would be nice if everyone would take care of the others. Unfortunately I have only seen how people see the splinter in the eye of another, instead of wooden beams in our own eyes. And when you point out, makes you harvest only misunderstanding or anger. I hope that more and more people around the world will understand the message of your songs. Hopefully more day by day.
You once said many years ago, that you will not be an apostle of peace. Whether it still so I don´t know but I think I know that you are a very religious man. The gift of faith I was unfortunately not given.I have really tried. So far I was only disappointed.
But I want you to know that you have helped me often to continue with your songs.Maybe it's already enough, that the world is only on some days a bit better.

I hope we will get to hear many more songs from you. Old or new, that does not matter.
I'm really looking forward to your concerts this year and of course on the Moonfleet Tour.

Take care.
Birgit

Dear Chris,
Eventhough it's all gray in Iran in these days and cold winter winds are blowing every where, I wrote these lines to thank you. Thank you for your help to let this young flower sees the coming spring.... thank you to remind the world of green people in Iran having hard days in this cold winter of brutality and ignorance. Tomorrow will be the day of these brave women and men fighting for freedom and I dream of that day when you'll hold a great concert in green Iran. And you'll find that day that Iranian people will never forget those who don't left them all alone in this gray cold winter. I felt that it's really necessary to thank you on behalf of Neda and so many other brave men and women killed on those days, and just to let you know how important was it for me to thank you and how much pressure we feel here in Iran, you should know that it was a great decision to write these simple lines to you because it's not safe to write such a simple letter even to someone like you. I'm sending this letter through a VPN so they can't track my IP and again it's not safe.

Thank you again for your sympathy and to your green concert in Tehran.
Best regards,
Ehsan.

I have been a fan "forever" and have only been lucky enough to see Chris in concert one time. It was in Toronto, Canada. I'll never forget that show. The whole experience was wonderful. I had to build a vacation around this one show because Toronto is quite far from my home in Pennsylvania. We drove into Canada with much anticipation and had several days before and after the concert to enjoy the sites. But it was the hours leading up to the concert and the show itself that I will never ever forget. It was a dream come true. I only hope to get the opportunity again either in Canada or the USA.

Dear Chris,

Your songs and words are gifts of love, joy, hope and light. Your passion and dedication to spreading your message are exemplary. Like warm rays of sun your efforts are reaching and touching so many people, giving them strength and inspiration.

Today I watched your recording with the Aryan group again. It's simply fabulous. So beautiful! The energy, love and joy in that studio is super cool! What great teamwork! (And I love the English-Persian mix.)

It's in such instances where we can actually see and touch our oneness, and truly understand the beauty that a group of like-minded people can create together. Still, it was you who made it happen and got it started. I hope your fans will remember through your example that every one of us can make a world of difference. Our world is truly a more beautiful place because of you. Rock on!

And hats off to your support team! What a powerhouse!

p.s. It's a shame that mainstream media isn't on the same page!

Dear Chris,

My father listened to your music from your early beginnings and passed his love for your music onto me. I have been listening to you all my life (31 years) and am fascinated how, to this day, your music is incomparable to anything else I've come across. From time to time, I'll put on an album such as Into the Light and smile and sing along, from start to finish!

I hope you can make it to Canada again. My parents and I saw you live in London, Ontario many years ago for an acoustic performance, and every second of it was beautiful. I felt so honored to even be in the same room as you.

Your music truly reaches the core of my being, and I feel blessed to call myself one of your fans. May you always continue to write and sing such beautiful songs.

Hi Dear Chris
I am writing for you from Iran. I can not tell how much I was surprised from your last Music "People of The World" which is written for anniversary of our martyr sister "Neda".
I heard your music when my body was shivering because of the affection of your holy voices and also because we watched all of the brutal action which is done by wild and evil creatures in iran.
You can not imagine how much the iranian people need the attention of other freedom people all around the world.
Yes we also believe the lion will wake up and the evil will fall very soon.
We are just seeking for freedom and expected the help of other people for our close destiny by supporting us.
Please keep your attention to your numerous friends in iran we need it much more than before nowadays.
I wish peace and freedom for all the world.
Thanks for your passion and merciful act

Hi Chris,

I'm one of the few Iranian fans of yours who became familiar with your music back in the 70's. I used to live in England back then and my parents and I would go back to Iran once a year to visit the family. It was a hot summer night in 1978 I think, when I was at my grandparents, lying in the balcony and starring to the stars when my uncle played me "A Spaceman Came Traveling". I was immediately hooked! and actually refused to give him back his cassette until he promised to make a copy of it for me! That was the beginning of a lifelong journey that has not ended to this day. Years later I immigrated to Canada and had the opportunity to go to your solo concert in Toronto in 2003. You were a joy to watch. I'm sure you appreciate that this brutal regime is the reason that most Iranians have left their land. I really hope that we all see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you very much not only for you wonderful music throughout the years, but also for voicing your support for the people of Iran.

Dear dear Chris,

"In a serene solitude I have cried with you
for those who are alive,
and in a dark cemetery
I have sung the most beautiful songs with you
because those who died this year
were the best lovers of the alive."(by great late Iranian poet Ahmad Shamlou)
God bless you for filling our ears with such a great music, and our hearts with such delightful feelings.
"In the terrors of the night" your great song reassures us that deaths of Neda & many of our brothers & sisters were not in vain, that "People Of The World" have noticed our nation's cry and long for freedom and still keep hearing that via your great song. Thank you sir. This means alot to us. "Neda's heart is living on" and you are also living on in our hearts.
I've been always an enthusiastic fan of yours since I was a little girl. I've laughed, cried and lived with many of your beautiful songs. You have made and lightened many of my days. I'm a liftime fan.
God bless you for every single word you have ever sung!

Your song 'People Of The World' is incredible. I listened and cried. Because I was there in the Protests, I saw a lot of things. I do never forget these injustices. But please attention that Neda did not kill by Sniper, She was killed by a Colt-Gun that belongs to Rejim Militia (Bassij)

Dear Chris,
last night Sam from Iran and I met on the computer and together we could listen to the song for Neda. For a moment we could feel it deeply in our souls that our friendship between Iran and Germany is so true and your song brought tears into our eyes. I'm wondering how you can do this so wonderful to bring such a horrible situation that had been in the streets in Tehran into such a empathic lyric for Neda and all who have died on the streets, who were standing up for their freedom in the world. Looking through the history of other countries, perhaps like Germany, I can remember that there was a time for students too, when they were shot down in demonstrations, so it is a worldwide song for all who try to live a good life and get involved into a destructive politic on the streets where the state means to have to demonstrate its power to the normal people. Deeply touched by your lyric Sam told me, that it is very dangerous in Iran actually to have an own opinion against the ruling regime so my question would be, what can the world do to help the Iranians to come free from their gouvernment? What can we do to help them to get a more open gouvernment-system in Iran who sets the young people there free without violence from the state? We'll hope your song can help to built a better world for freedom and peace there and that the conflicts with the basijis in the streets will have an end for peaceful demonstrations, that a case like Neda's death and the death of 10000 people there will not happen again.
Thank you Chris for this lyric which means a lot for us all.
Monika

You were there when we fell in love with your songs " missing you" or " lady in red", then you were there when we lost hope in the past 30 years of losing our identity, our pride, our happy days and our puhrpose with your songs like " shine on..". You where there for us as you tried your best to sing to the millions of Iranians who believe in your words, without being allowed to sing to them the way we wanted and you intended. You are still with us as we remember our Neda. This generation floats in the atmosphere of your songs, they sing back to you, they buy guitars without knowing how to play because you have it in your hand when you sing to their souls. You belong here Chris, we are together to the last. :)

Dear Chris,
frightened I have read your message about what had happened last year in Iran to Neda and that you turned it into a song. Well, I can remember this summer with Sam who had shown me all the photos and films from there and it felt as would there be no end in killing and violence during this summer there in Iran. As far as I remember our talks at night, Neda was that student, who was standing at the edge of a street with her professor and they both had nothing bad in their mind when she was shot down, right? Sam showed me the pictures here in Germany and all the dreams of your performance in Iran seemed suddely have got an end through the political situation there. We were sitting on our computers in the hope that the conflicts in the streets will soon have an end and nothing happened than waiting and hoping and thinking how to become secure in the streets of Iran again avoiding dangerous places like Tehran for young people. Your words are a great memory Chris. Thank you very much!

Hi Chris, I read a poem of W.B.Yeats, "Prayer for my daughter" and found out that your song"I´m counting on you" was based on the lyrics of that poem. I translated it for a friend, who is, like me, a mum of three children. When she heard the song after reading the poem she was full of emotions, a really good inspiration to write that great song. I hope you are well and you have a nice time during the recording for your new album. I look forward to listen to it! I wish I could manage to see one of your summer concerts in Germany, but at that time we will spend our summer holidays in England and Wales. Then I have to wait until next year, when you will visit Berlin. Take care for you and your family, Andrea
