Dear Chris!

Your interview in Songs of Praise impressed me so much, that I decided to sign the Guestbook. All what you say in this interview is very interesting, and to tell the truth I think I knew all that, but to hear it also from you was very important for me. Because sometimes I begin doubting if I am right thinking this or that about this life, about this world. And to listen to the people I respect greatly was always one of the ways to overcome this doubt. Thank you, Chris!

With respect and love,

Anna Dolgikh

Hi Chris,

I just wanted to tell you, I'm still dreaming of the Conzert in Freiburg in May, it was so fantastic!!! But the sad part is, none of my friends are really Chris de burgh-fans (except for one!) So they all think I'm crazy, when I start talking about you and they don't understand why I like you sooooo much. So maybe, if anyone reads this (maybe not too far away from Freiburg), and feels like I feel about chris, then don't hesitate to contact me! It would be very nice to get to know some other Fans!!! And Chris, I can't wait for the next Tour!!!! See you
Christina

hello, chris!

your music has ever been something special to me since i was 15. in 2207 i met the girl i wanted to merry. we saw 3 concerts of you since that time. our favourite song was "raging storm". so many nights we have heard your lovely songs.... in october 2008 my girlfriend got cancer. i tried to be with her every day in hospital. i even lost my job in a bank because i wanted to be at her site every minute. the day before she died we sang our favorite song together. in these monents you dont want to face the reality and you think that evrything will become good. after she died the doctor in the hospital gave me a letter she wrote me 3 days before she died. she wrote "words can not tell of all you have done and the love that you have shown me!" while i write these mail tears are running down my face.... thank you for your emotional musik and the feelings you gave us and millions of people all over the world. your music is the music of my live! the sentence in her last letter is now on her gravestone.... words can not explain what your music means to me/us! and when i will see her again someday - we will sing your songs together again. yours fan thorsten (37) from germany

Hi Chris,
just wanted to say it was nice to see you on Songs of praise yesterday (Sunday). Gosh it sure looked cold and windy when that was recorded!!

As Stewart and I watched the Hungarian Grand Prix qualifiers on Saturday we watched in horror the terrible fluke accident that happened to Felipe Massa. It was obviously to me that the guy was pretty injured. What a terrible shame..I like many people hope he makes a full recovery, but....head injuries are very nasty things :-( It was nice to see lewis Hamelton win again, but I would have preferred Jensen Button to win
again ;-).

Ah well, it's just 4 weeks and 2 days till we fly over to Ireland for a very long weekend:-))

Hope all is well with you and the family.
Love and hugs,
Chris(W)thebluehealer

Hello Chris,

It was very good indeed to see you featured on Songs of Praise yesterday. The Footsteps poem - yes that's a very strong image.

On Saturday (whilst slogging away in the garden) I had to change the battery in my i-pod and somehow the recording of you singing Psalm 23 from the past started to play... I'd not even remembered it was on there.
This stopped me in my tracks for those words are so powerful, especially when there are troubles in life too.

From the heart,

Chris R

xx

Dear Chris

I have seen your concerts every time you came to Cape Town, and I have met you so many times.

I am severely Cerebral Palsied & use a motorized wheelchair. Wheelchair access is a BIG problem in S.A., but I am determined to overcome that & see you at Kirstenbosch in November. I have to arrange for a Carer or friend to transport me & stay with me, BUT I WILL BE THERE - whether Kirstenbosch is wheelchair-friendly or not. And I pray that I can meet you again & have a photo taken with you. Over the past 5 years I've given up everything to look after my parents - my mother on life-support (at home) with Emphysema (she passed away 9 months ago) and my father with Altzheimers'. I arrange the Carers we need 24hr a day. Your songs give me the courage to carry on through extremely trying times. Thank you so much.

Best wishes.

Hello Chris,
thanks for the interview. I was given the link to listen. I did not find it to the right time here. "Spanish Train" and "Satin Green Shutters came a little bit like an unearthly mystery to here, for in 1994 these two songs were so important for me as I worked on this room after the railway-man were dying, well it was not the railway-man, but my father. It was like a mystery of the past rolling in with these two songs years later into the same room, where I have heard them before again and again on the old records. Heaven or hell was an important question in this time and I want that you know, that these lines "OH Lord, don*t let him win" once gave me a lot of power to overstand this all here. The devil did not win! You helped me a lot without knowing something from it with your lyrics in these years. Thank you very much Chris for this live-performance via radio.
Last winter Klaus recorded with me two of my songs. "Manhattan*s Night" with my first piano-melody is dedicated to the USA and you, because the pictures of the town New York in "The Snows Of New York" which I had seen on TV came back and back to my mind. So I wrote a song about it. You can listen to it in my myspace site. Well I like to write songs from time to time. I'd like to learn more from you.
with love
Monika

Hello Chris,

Just to say that I absolutely loved your 'session' with Ryan Tubridy on Thursday.

So now I'll remember that everything that I read in the papers about you is true - especially the facts that you have supplied yourself to 'lazy' journalists! ;-)

The live songs were great -:)) Such a quiet introduction to Spanish Train caught me out .... LOL!!! Tell me, how can you sing so well at that time of the morning?!!

Hope you're enjoying some time out from 'work'... Really looking forward to Dublin and hoping that 'P'
comes out of retirement! You hinted that she might..?

From the heart!

Hi,

When there is not any world to demonstrate the sense and feeling; It is the time of the sound of music. Your voice is holy and magical.
My soul fly with that feather in 'The Tower' to the unreachable sky. I dance in 'Lady in Red'. I cry in 'Border Line' for hard selection between two loves.I can see the train passing in fron of my wet eyes in the station when those boyes go to war. Your music is arousing in 'The Revelation' and so on. You are more than a singer. I hope the best for you. I love you.
