Hi Chris,

I arrived home safely at 22:00 hrs Sunday evening, totally shattered emotionally, physically and mentally. Now I'm off to sleep a few hours before I return to the drudgery of daily life and work at 08:00 hrs Monday morning.

Thanks for 2 great shows in Regensburg and Freiburg. I enjoyed them both, but the Freiburg one for me was way too emotional:-(

I hope you enjoy your week off and have plenty of rest.

Dear Chris,
I'd also like to thank you for this great concert in Freiburg!
Being not too young anymore either, I was a little "shocked" however of all those "grannys" :-)and I remembered my first concert with you in Karlsruhe years ago - queuing for hours outside in the cold and then, when the hall opened, I started to run as fast as I could to stand just right in front of the stage...:-)And everybody was singing, clapping and dancing the whole evening...Quite different from yesterday evening, when people sat nice and neat on their chairs..So I was happy when later people pushed forward and I could leave my chair to see you quite near! It was a great concert, thanks for all the old songs! I like your Footsteps album too, but of course I prefer you singing your own beautiful songs! Hope to see you again, with love and hugs, Susanne

Dear Chris,
when you read this, it`ll be some weeks later from now. At the moment it´s very late in the night, I think I should say it´s very early in the morning, it´s near two o´clock a.m. I just came home from your concert in Freiburg at Rothaus Arena. Thank you, thank you a thousand times !!!!!!! I enjoyed it very much and I´m still "High on Emotion"! ;-) When I left the Arena I thought by myself, wow this emotion, this great feeling could go on forever. I felt like I couldn´t get enough from your songs and the great athmosphere. I remember the words in "Snows of New York" : "....and there are those who fight for the things they believe. These are man like you and me.." I think these are my thoughts, too. You have to be true to yourself and fight for the things you believe, no matter what other people say.
Chris, again my deepest thanks to you for this wonderful great evening in Freiburg. All the best to you and your family.
Lots of love and hugs

Hi Chris and all Fans all over the world,

It's a big, huge inspiration for me, to listen to your music. It's a kind of travelling in another world. In a wonderland, where you create new colors of a beautiful picture of nature for example: waterfalls, gras areas, mountains and valleys. Your songs are messages, comfort, hope. The songs are a support to take away the grief and pain. What I'm trying to say is thank you deeply from my heart.Seven years ago I´ve written a song. The inspiration came from you. If anybody listen to my first song "Heal My Soul", click on the link

Hi,

Your music brings back very good memories to me. Now I'm 30 but it takes me back to Switzerland, when I was only 5 or 6 years old. Back then my family was perfect. My mother, my father and me, all together and happy (so I thought). My dad loved your music, now he has forgotten the simplest pleasures of life. He used to played it in the car (among others like Jaques Brel, Renaud) and it was wonderful. Back then I was a little boy fascinated by your music, like a snake to a snake charmer :)

Thank you for giving me a connection to my past so I can endure my present and overcome my future.

Cheers,

Flurin d'Almeida

Chris,

Thank you so much for the fabulous concert in Würzburg. We really enjoyed every minute of it.
You really show that you enjoy what you do. When you sing, it just flows effortlessly.
I bought my husband these tickets for Christmas last year, and he almost pushed the button on the pc to buy me tickets in Wien....then he called and asked me if I had bought tickets already. So I had themn first and he had to find another present. When you came down into the audiance, while singing Lady in Red, and sat on my husbands lap, that made it that much more of a special Christmas gift.(If there is anybody that has a picture, we would love to have a copy). It was really nice to have that little extra touch, that you didn't even know about!
THANK YOU!!!
Look forward to seeing you again...

Hoping you will bring your Footsteps tour to Canada,

Hello Chris

I had enjoyed your Concert on Monday in Linz, Brucknerhaus.
It was the first time to see you live on tour and it was a fantastic experience for me and my son (15 years old).
Your charisma on Stage was very strong and i hope you had also a good time in the concert.
Your performance by the song "the mirror of the soul" was superb, many people, i'm too, had got "gooseflesh" by this song.

I hope it was not the first and the last concert in Austria.

I wish you all the best for the rest of your Footstep Tour.

Hi Chris,
the first holiday-week went well back home after your wonderful concert in Würzburg, so I am looking forward to you and your concert in Wien this year.
To see Wien is a real dream of mine and that you will be there giving a concert is really great for me.
By the way, Chris Williams has the wish that you would sing "Sealed With A Kiss". I love this song very much too and what I really miss is "The Same Sun". Can you think about it on your tour?
And Christina, as far as I heard Chris singing and read the reviews, he has not "The Head And The Heart" in his program this year, perhaps you could ask him to play it.

Hi Chris,

I hope you are keeping well and that your Summer Tour in Europe is going according to plan - which I'm very much sure it is.

I'd just like to say that I am really looking forward to the Irish concerts that have recently been announced. I had a sneaky feeling that you were going to play in Ireland but didn't think it would be in Dublin nor did I think it would be in August/September. I was expecting maybe another show in Bundoran or indeed Inec Killarney possibley later in the year.

Anyway I'm delighted to say that I shall be at a couple of the concerts including the Wexford show. My brother, sister and my mam will be joining me at the Dublin concert on August 31st so I won't be alone for once. Really looking forward to it. Also don't be suprised if I end up going to another Dublin concert - I'll probably end up buying a ticket later in the summer!!!

Anyway I look forward to Wexford and Dublin!

See you then Chris. Take care.

Bonjour Chris,

I visited your concert this evening in Karlsruhe. It was great!!!!! I got your new CD "Footsteps" for last christmas and I was afraid that the concert would be a "smooth" one. But it was really great. It was perfect. You found the correct mixed titles for the concert. Thank you so much! I was waiting the whole evening of the "Ferryman" and when you sang it, it was my highlight! I´m 50 years old and I think that you should know that the ticket for your concert was a present from my son (26)to my birthday who was coming with me. We both enyoied it very much!!!!! Thank You!

Hi Chris,
although many other fans have already told you how much they enjoyed your concert in Bochum, I, too, would like to give you my impression: it was an absolutely unforgettable evening that I'd been looking for for such a long time! Nevertheless there are two things that surprised me and made me a little bit sad: First I had thought you were going to perform all the "Footsteps"- songs, but- oh and alas- there was no "Polly Von", no "Where have all the flowers gone" or no "American Pie". Second- at that's not your fault because you did a perfect show- the audience disappointed me so much. I'm not talking about the fans in the very first rows who accompany you on all your concerts. They were having a wonderful time. I was sitting a bit further away and had the feeling that the people around me were either deaf and glued to their seats or they had only come to listen to your most famous songs (Lady in Red, Don't pay the Ferryman, High on Emotion)i.e. "their" concert started after the break. This was a pity 'cause you had chosen so many other wonderful "Oldies but Goodies" (Love of a Heart Divine, Same Sun, Where peaceful waters flow...). I was angry when I realized that many people didn't even know such a wonderful song as "Mirror of the Soul"-clapping after each of the three parts- gosh! Please don't misunderstand me: The "party songs" should of course be part of the concert, but I had been looking forward to listening to these thoughtful, deeply emotional songs as well which you sang with so much feeling! There should have been more of these because you have the gift to transmit emotions like no one else! The harmony between you and your fantastic band was so obvious. You are all full- blooded musicians! You deserved a highly delighted audience from the very beginning of "Last Night" to "The Snows of New York" and "Footsteps" -and not only for the "hand clapping songs". As for me I hope to see you again in a couple of years- you are not getting older, but better (if this is possible at all).
Your fan forever,
Christa

Hi Chris,
your shows in Münster, Bochum, Siegen and Würzburg where fantastic, thank you! Starting with "Last Night" in this way is brilliant, and I like the current version of "Love of the Heart Divine" very, very much. The band is amazing and it is such a pleasure to watch the fun when you are playing together. Would be great if you decided to play one more song with you and the guys sitting in the front, everbody seemed to love this part of the show a lot. Why not "Corrina, Corrina"? Please!!! :-) Have the impression you are getting even better from show to show although in the end I always thought "this was the best concert, definitely". So I am really looking forward to Freiburg. Hope you had a good time off. Have to put quite a few rounds into my washing machine now... See you soon, xx Sibylle

Hi Chris again,
well meanwhile Edda had answered my question while reading The Chris de Burgh book. Hey I just discover that story goes back to the year 1818 and was written by the British author Mary Shelley after she visited Castle Frankenstein in Germany near Dortmund.
I asked because I was afraid about the town where I had to go after the concert and that came from a ly, that the creature of Frankenstein was once built in the old anatomie of this town, but the real novel has nothing to do with the actual place I am at the moment. Good to know this now, so I can sleep well until I see you soon again.
Have a nice day and much sunshine on your tour Chris

Dear Chris,
thank you so much for the concertnight in Würzburg. It feels like to be on a journey again with you. When you start with Last Night it seems that you talk in your songs about the places you had been before you came and that we were sailing away together in the past years and I am completely lost in a dreamjourney for some hours with you. And I've seen the river from a place high above the town where you had been years before and when I try to awake out of this dream at night after the concert, I see things in the night, which I have never seen before. By the way is "Making The Perfect Man" something what I have seen in internet in a video-clip, something about Frankenstein?
I hope to meet you soon again

finally "Lucas-Travel" is back home after a 5 hours journey from Würzburg. Hi Chris,

a quick PS...to my earlier post........I did arrive home safely, but not before I got a big shock at the airport!! As i drove out of the car park at Stansted, it would not take my prepaid ticket and told me I had to pay £64 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully I had my booking ref on me and it was sorted out, but gosh that was a horrible shock, and sure brought me back to reality pretty quickly!!!!

Hello,

thank you so much for the great concert in Bochum, in RuhrCongress on 18.05.2009.
I bought the tickets for me and my mum, 'cause she had birthday on 18th May and it was such a beautiful evening for her. She's only sad about that you didn't played "My Father's Eyes". ;-)

The atmosphere was wonderful and you voice gets better every concert. We'd saw you in Bielefeld 2 years ago (it rained through the whole concert) and Bochum 4 years ago (open air too), and indoor you do a great show too.

Be blessed and greetings to your good welsh/english band

Hi Chris,

right now I am sitting in Koln-Bonn airport waiting to board my flight back to reality and work. I feel soo lonely and sad that I have to go back home and cannot stay with my friends and tour around, but unfortunately that is the way it is:-((

Thank you soooo much for 3 wonderful concerts at Munster, Bochum and Siegen.....And whow what a fantastic opening to the shows.....very dramatic indeed........it's brilliant. Unfortunately we arrived late for the Munster show due to traffic problems, so Stewart has not got to see the opening.....he'll have to wait until June to see it!!

I wish you a wonderful time for the rest of the tour.........I will return at some point !!!

Thanks for everything :-)
And thanks to all my CdeB friend who have organised my travels around, by car or train....it's been a great few days.

Love and Hugs from a very emotional

Hi Chris,
I really did enjoy your concert in Münster. It was great!!
I started listening to your songs in the middle of the 80s. You made me such a good time with your music during all these years. I just want to say thank you.
In 1989 my husband and I met for the first time when sailing through the Caribean sea. Radio Saint Lucia kept playing your "Flying Colours" record.
Many of my best memories were accompanied by your songs.
Thank you. Gaby

Dear Chris,

yesterday we visited your concert in Siegen (you know, the city with the beautyful beer "Krombacher" ;o)) and we loved it very much. Once again thanks for an unforgetable evening with some of your new songs and - of course - a lot of the old and classic ones. Hope you enjoy your dance with 'the lady in red' and you had also a great evening with your entusiasted fans.

Hope to see you soon back in the middel west of germany to join another nice evening with your great music.

So long, best regards

thanks for a great Saturday night, the concert was so fantastic. We drove about 350 km to Muenster and had a relaxed weekend in the beautiful hotel. What a surprise to meet you there - and thanks for the signed tickets!! Hope you had a nice evening with some more glasses of good red wine. All the best wishes for the following concerts and many greetings from our holiday now on Germany´s most beautiful island Sylt.

Dear Chris,

it was a great concert on Saturday. It was good to hear so many old songs live – and „Africa“. It was a nice surprise when we heard the first tunes of „Last Night“ and I was brought back for a moment to the concert in Tokyo in the 1980's which I have watched very often.
I wish I could have bought a ticket for Bochum which also isn't far away from me and see you today evening again. As always an evening with you is over so fast that it makes me sad. It is always good to see you playing live beside playing your albums.

I planned to come to the stage, but was too shy and became unsure of the right time of walking to the front in the end when I saw that you didn't always see the fans standing at the side of the stage. So, Jason was so kind to pass my gift on to you. I hope it has reached you wherever Jason put it. Or have you seen me, though?

It was an electrifying moment for me when you passed me by walking on the chairs of row 3. The photo I have taken is probably blurred as I had to react fast, I haven't copied it on the laptop yet. The finger that tipped you on the arm was mine!

just came back from the concert in Münster. It was FANTASTIC!!!
What a start with "Last Night" and it was great to hear some songs again you don't sing that often. We had a great evening. It was like the icing on the cake of an already really good day with the 500 km journey to Münster, a relaxed afternoon walking around the lake, swimming in the hotel pool and a lovely meal.
Thanks again, I am really looking forward to a few more shows within the next weeks.
Take care,

It was so good that the security staff was not so keen on sending us back to our seats, so we had a night with dancing and singing close to the stage right in front of you. Like those good ol´ days only 25 years ago!!
It was really fantastic.

Hi Chris!
Just two more nights to sleep until my first concert on this year's German tour in Münster; and after reading all the lovely reviews from the recent UK tour (hello Chris W. ;-)) and hearing detailed travel reports on the phone (hello Andrea L. ;-), watching DVDs with UK TV shows and listening to UK radio programmes (hello Chris W. again + thanks a lot once more) AND listening to the fantastic "Footsteps" album over and over again I JUST CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT, CAN'T WAIT to see the real thing live! Please play "Africa" and "Corrina Corrina" (you may leave out "Sealed with A Kiss" for this, so sorry Chris W.!). I'm afraid it's all decided by now... well, at least I tried. Hmm, you know what? You could sing the Alphabet or anything else, and I would really enjoy it!!!
I've been missing the concerts, and I've been missing you!

Hi Chris I was at the first concert in Liverpool and it was fantastic. Your voice and songs are just so moving and the Hillsborough Tribute so special. You are so special to so many people and like a lot of others your music has been with me through the ups and downs of my life for many many years. I do like to sing along as well to the ones like High on Emotion. I love it all but if I had to choose a favourite it would be Carry Me [ like a fire in your heart]. I have been logging on every night and reading the reviews as your tour went from place to place. You are wonderful and the music is still in my head over two weeks later. Hope the rest of the tour goes well.I wish I had plenty of money to follow the tour but I have to make do with DVD's and CD's until I can get to another concert.

Thank You, Chris for a wonderful concert, this time in Birmingham, May 2nd! You, Your Band, The Heart of England Orchestra & John Helliwell were all fantastic. It was a Beautiful Dream that came true, just like your other concerts we have been to. This time our youngest son, 17 years old, joined me.
You are an example to young people and there is no artist like you.
Birmingham is a splendid city, a real pearl. The Symphony Hall, the canals with the narrow boats are very special. We spent three days there and saw many interesting things, but your concert was the main reason for going.
The UK version of Footsteps is a precious souvenir. It was much more tempting to attend your concert, than to stay home this bank holiday. In our county we have many old traditions e.g. to celebrate Valpurgis Eve April 30th. There are large bonfires, fireworks, and festive meals. 1st of May is celebrated by many too. Among all good songs you sang during the evening Without You was very powerful. A wish for the future is to hear Lonely Sky live.
What a joke you made when reading the card from our flowers!
And Chris, the floating globe was very beautiful! Greetings from Maj-Britt

Dear Chris,
Your songs have become the footsteps in my life ever since I herad your voice for the first time. The way you sing about the happy and the grief- stricken sides of a private life and the many songs about the madness of war have touched my soul. I'd like to explain what your songs mean to me by using a picture I recently found as a descripton of what a man is: an angel with only one wing who needs someone else to embrace and to make him/her able to fly. As for me- feeling lonely at the moment- it's your voice and your songs that "embrace" me, comfort me and give me the power to carry on; they make me smile, laugh or cry. That's why I'm so much looking forward to seeing you on stage on Monday. I will hear your voice, see your face (take a photo if I'm allowed to as a reminder of a great evening), and I will sure be thinking of (good and bad) people and places (like the beautiful landscape of Connemara where I spent an unforgettable holiday)...
Thank you for being just the way you are!
Yours,
Christa

Hi Chris,

Just to say a big thank you for your fantastic concerts in Birmingham, London and Bournemouth. It was my first time to see you perform outside of Ireland and it was even more special for me because it was in the UK - my favourite holiday destination.

I thought you were in great shape and form and your voice sounded terrific. I cannot say how much I really enjoyed the show I was at and the atmosphere along with the sound of the band and orchestra was out of this world. It was quite a treat and I'm proud to have been a part of it. Also it was nice to meet some of my friends too and to meet new fans and friends from other countries.

I also want to say thanks for shaking hands with me a few times particularly in Birminngham after I gave you my card - hope you liked it.

Best of luck with the European Tour and who knows maybe ya might see me at another concert before the year is out.

Take care.

Dear Chris,

Well, the time has come at last !!! Only a few days more to go, actually next week Wednesday, May 20, in Würzburg :-). My heart lifts in happiness and I'm so much looking forward to a glorious time!

I hope you are well and full of health for this tour and you hopefully have enjoyed the concerts in the UK immensely!

Finally there are oases in sight again! Your concerts are moments of joy and happiness, hope and comfort, they seem like a rain in the desert that is numbered and counted and remembered long after it is gone. And you draw strength, refuel and top up your energy to walk on. Oh, how I long to feel the rain, I'm desperate for it - and now it is finally time for it again, after another 365-day journey around the sun. Can't believe it is so close now !!! Fancy having the luck that even it was only a nearly 275-day trip! I do appreciate that.

See you really really soon!

With love,

Yours Julia :)

P.S. I hope the cut on your finger has healed. It must be very painful playing the strings on the guitar as you obviously can't simply leave out the sore finger. I suppose it's the permanent pain which really makes it difficult, having to strain the wound for three hours. You poor thing!

I've heard enthusiastic reviews and comments about your concert at the RAH from friends. And I'm looking forward to the German concerts now.

Maybe you would like to sing 'Watchtower' and 'We can work it out!' in Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Basel or Biberach?
That would be very very nice!!!
Just divine is 'Without you', very much looking forward to this song, I know you'll do it (hopefully)!

'We can work it out' has helped me over my 12-hours working days over the past weeks. What a shame that I didn't get vacations during the workweeks in May and June. I would have attended even more concerts!

Congratulations to the very good ranking of 'Footsteps' in UK and Germany.

Dear Chris
Got home back to near Cambridge today (Sat) after spending 4 nights in Dorset, drove down especially because you were at the BIC and Dorset is our favourite part of the UK. The show was just amazing. When you were singing with the orchestra it was truly wonderful and brought a tear to my eyes. The highlight for me was when you came down the steps singing 'lady in red' and came straight up to me and held my hand, I was riveted to the chair. But did manage a hug when you came down into the audience at the end. Thank you for a wonderful show - my husband and I both agree it was the best ever. Don't be too long before you do another UK tour. If anyone reading this happened to take a photo when you came up to me at the beginning of L in R. I'd be very grateful if they would email it to me as my husband was too late getting his camera ready!

Dear Chris, what can I say other than WOW!!!!! Four concerts in two weeks, just fantastic,I was really pleased when I saw the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester come up on the list of UK dates after seeing you there the last time and then for Wend and me to get our pics taken with you was just brilliant, thank you,but then to go the Symphony Hall Birmingham where I have never been before, I never imagined what a beautiful place it could be, two fantastic nights and you did so well playing your guitar with that finger, well done. To hear you sing "Crying" and "Without You" along with the band and orchestra was really special and I managed to make a film of "Crying" on the Sunday, no one else in the world could stand there an sing those songs with the passion and emotion that you do, and then to have the last dance to LIR well that was just soooo special. We enjoyed the concert in Bournmouth to but it was marred by the security who first tried to confiscate our brand new camera!!!! And then wouldn't allow me to film a couple of songs after you had given me your permission to do so!! But then when you ran back to hug me during LIR, well that made things sooo much easier, thank you Chris for the dance, the hugs and the kisses and for the fabulous performances from yourself, the band and orchestra and of course JH on the sax, sooo memorable.
Such a pity we can't come to Europe this year.

Just wanted to thank Chris (plus band and orchestra of course) for an extremely entertaining evening my wife and I had at the Royal Albert hall last Tuesday. We have never failed to enjoy any of the CDB concerts we have attended. It was a good mix of old favourites and songs from the Footsteps album. The Appearance by John from Supertramp (one of my favourite bands) was a bonus. Chris mentioned that there were a lot of guys in the audience who would probably rather be watching the football. Not so me (maybe the next night when Chelsea were playing!)Yes, the ladies might love the romantic stuff but there is plenty of stuff that I (and the other chaps)enjoy (and I go the whole range from Led Zep to Green Day!). Thanks for all the great music over all these years!

Hi Chris,

just want to say how much Stewart and I loved the whole tour UK tour. We set off 11 days ago and all told I drove 1,300 miles in those 11 days. Every show was unique in it's own way, with Liverpool being the most memorable and emotional show I have even been to. Whow you had to be there(as you were of course) to experience the pure emotion from every member of the audience when you sang You'll Never Walk Alone, in memory of the 96 Liverpool FC fans who died at Hillsborough 20 yrs ago. That reaction will stay with me until the very end of my life............it was pure raw emotion...gosh I can't describe it right here...it is too hard to explain. I feel totally privelidged to have experienced this concert.

Manchester as usual was very good, and it is such a nice venue.
Gateshead I will always remember for the shape of the venue from the outside and yes I can see why it is known as the slug, although I never knew that until you mentioned it in the show!! it is also a place I shall remember as Stewart and I took a very long walk along the river at Gateshead/Newcastle and saw the river at low tide and all the interesting thigs that were on the shore such as wheelbarrows, and old large metal containers, shoes etc etc!! oh yes and on our way back from this long walk by the river we bumped into you...well not literally of course ;-) but it was nice that you said hi to us as we passed each other:-)
Also Andrea, Stewart and I discoverd a really really nice resturaunt very close to the venue...just actually over the red bridge....i can't recall the name of it right now, it was something like Uno's and I can really recommend it...the menu was extensive and the food superb.

After Gateshead, we had a free day so Andrea Stewart and myself drove upto Bamburg Castle 50 miles north of Gateshead, after we had said goodbye to Jacqueline who had to drive home that day. We had a lovely time walking around the castle, and then climbed all over the sand dunes, as we walked down to the beach. Gosh some of those sand dunes were sooo steep, and with my 'knee problems'it was pretty difficult, but it was not going to stop my enjoyment of getting to walk on the beach. Unfortunately just as we got to the nice sandy flat beach, it started lightly drizzling with rain, which soon turned into a very heavy bout of rain and we got absolutely soaked as we climbed back over the dunes to get back to my car!!

Birmingham at The Symphony Hall was always going to be very good and it was both nights. The first day in Birminhgam though was soo noisy around our hotel area as there was some kind of Indian festival going on and there were many many people there playing drums in the square outside the actual Symphony Hall....I'm sure you heard the noise as well....it was impossible to get any rest at all. The second day in Birmingham we done something we have never done while in Birmingham before and that is take a ride around the canal on one of the canal tourist boats, along with Claudia and Andrea. We really enjoyed it and even saw you taking one of your walks along the canal bank......much to our surprise, and we must have all looked soo funny as we were banging on the windows of the boat to try to attract your attention, so we could wave at you!!! still we kept the other tourists amused by our antics, even if not you!!!!!Oh gosh it was soo cold and windly walking by the canal that day.

Next came the RAH, one of my all time favourite venues, and too see you with orchestra there was superb, the sound was brilliant. You suit the RAH much better than the Hammersmith Apollo of 2 yrs ago. That venue was a real dump. A singer of your class NEEDS the
RAH :-)). Then it was time for Bournemouth and the very last show, and as usual Bournemouth rocked that night, but oh how I dislike that venue since it has been refurbished, with its high stage and the seats soo far away from the stage :-(( for me it kills the atmosphere and the magic of a CdeB show. But it was still a great last show. Stewart and I also had a new experience as we stayed in the first 4 or 5 star 'Faulty Towers' hotel we have ever stayed in and to cap it all, all my valuable stuff including my new precious 'netbook' got locked in an unlockable safe!!!!!!!!!!! thankfully in the end we did get it back but only once the back of the safe had been sawn off!!!!!With such a catalogue of disasters in this hotel, I half expected Basel Faulty to appear!!!! but sadly this was not a dream hotel but a nightmare...and for the first time in my life, I strongly complained when we booked out and we got 1/2 the bill knocked off. I think we should have got it for free though!!

So now I am finally back at home since last evening and I slept for a straight 8 hours in my own bed....it was superb......I have no idea how you can sleep in hotel beds, because I never can and by yesterday as we were leaving for our final drive home i was soooooooooooooooo tired, i really was!!

So to conclude, thank you soo much for 7 great shows and some 'special' moments along the way........you were AMAZING as always, but with orchestra you were double AMAZING. Your voice is pure magic and soo rich, and my favourite song of the whole UK tour was without a doubt, "Without You" with orchestra. I have always loved this song all my life, but to witness the pure passion and emotion you put into it with the orchestra backing...it was SUPERB and it brought tears to my eyes each concert..it really did.

Chris thank you soo much for a great 7 concerts and a fun packed 11 days on tour.............you were amazing....even if you did not sing....Sealed With A Kiss !!!!!!!! I still hope to hear that song at one of the German shows I will be attending!!

Finally I hope you finger is all healed up now.....it must have been really painful when playing the guitar strings with a cut finger.
Now I am enjoying my last holiday day by writing this and doing all the washing and ironing and housework......great...NOT!!!

Love and hugs as ever,
Chris(W)thebluehealer

Dear Chris,

I had such a great time on my 'mini-tour' for the last three U.K. concerts! Thank you!

It was just wonderful to meet up again with so many fans from around the globe - the U.S.A. Germany, Russia and Greece, not forgetting friends here from various places including Scotland. What lovely people I've come to know through attending your concerts!

Each concert was unique and very special in it's own right. 'Ordinary' people just don't understand that and think that one show suffices!! Thank you for those extra special moments which made each occasion one to remember.

I trust that you have time for a rest after the whirlwind of promotions and then the seven concerts before you start the next tour!

From the heart!

Chris R

This was a Birthday present from my fiancee which we both thoroughly enjoyed. (Looking forward to our first dance to 'Five Past Dreams', which we have decided on).

Hi Chris,

Hope you are well.
I felt I should sign your guestbook after such an amazing show on Saturday night at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.

I have been attending your concerts (including the picnic concerts at stately homes) for about 12 years and they just get better.

I love your music and hope that you keep on writing as I have been a fan since I was a young girl and your music has helped me throughout many stages of my life and long may it continue!

All the best.

I too have just returned from Birmingham home to Devon where I saw Chris de Burgh at Birmingham Symphony Hall on Sunday evening, being a Brummie it was nice to return to the old city and of course see Chris again. Wonderful concert, fabulous songs and a very enjoyable evening. Worth the journey, time and money spent, never miss him when he visits, best of luck for the rest of the tour.
So enjoyed the way Chris mingles with the audience at the end of his concert, so like him. Listened to new CD all the way home to Devon!

Hi Chris,

just arrived back home from "my" UK-Tour. My Dad and sister picked me up at the airport with a bunch of flowers - how nice. And how strange to hear people talking German again and driving on the right side of the roads :-)) It feels like I've been away for 3 weeks instead of 10 days...
Anyway, I'd like to thank you for five very good concerts, especially the very emotional show in Liverpool and the second one in Birmingham. Your voice is in great shape and listening to your songs with the orchestra was just about perfect!!!
Now it's back to work, but really soon it's time for my first concert of the Germany tour and many more journeys.
A big thank you also to my friends Jacqueline, Chris and Stewart for letting me travel with them and always helping me out when I struggled with English accents :-))) Soon you'll be in Germany and "Lucas-Travel" will take over...
Take care Chris and thanks again,
can't wait to see you again in Muenster,
love and hugs,
Andrea

Hi. I have been reading the reviews of the UK tours so far and cannot wait until the 6th till Bournemouth. I am not fortunate enough to be able to go to more of the concerts and I also read about people meeting Chris which I have not had the luck or opportunity to be in the right place at the right time. However, no matter what, I am really looking forward to the concert and wish Chris all the best with the rest of his tours.

Has to be said Saturday's concert was amazing as usual. Great atmosphere, great company, great orchestra and band and Chris at his fabulous best. Wonderful selection of songs, great to hear some old favorites. Country churchyard and Revolution to name but 2 and then some tracks from the new album. What an amazing night we had at the Sage Gateshead. We were fortunate to meet Chris back stage which was a total surprise for my husband Stephen. Chris de Burgh is such a gentle man and very kind. On his album Footsteps he sings "our song" Without You and I know he sang this for us that night. The sage is a fantastic venue and he got a great reception from the sell out audience. Hope he comes back soon.

HI Chris,

What can i say ........ WOW what a great 3 shows i've been to. I loved Bridgewater Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall was great. We had been to the Beautiful Dreams tour there and that was BRILLIANT!!! But to go back and hear songs there like Leather On My Shoes, Through These Eyes(never heard that before) the hairs on my arms and back of my neck stood up when you sang it. And to top that to hear the saxophonist John Helliwell play in Leather OnMy Shoes and Footsteps AMAZING.

The band were Great as was the orchestra, hats off to the violinist who wrote the music for Spanish Train for the orchestra to play(i'm sorry his name has slipped my memory)

My husband Paul came last night and it was his first time on the front row and he actually got chance to shake your hand something he wanted to do for a long time.

Thanks for your music Chris and thanks for a great couple of concerts and many years of your music.
Thanks again for your time too. I know how precious it is.

Take care
