Hi Chris,

Hope you are well :0)

I just want to send a BIG thankyou for tuesday. You were very gracious with your time. Myself and Pauline were by the Bridgewater Hall when you came out after the sound check and you recognised Pauline but i had never met you in the 25/26years that i had followed your music, but you came over and gave me a hug!! I went to take a picture of you and Pauline but when i pulled my camera out all my batteries fell out too(long story for the reason there were soo many hee hee) i was soo embarrased but you just joked and picked themup and passed them back and then it was my turn i had waited 25/26years for this and i didn't want to mess it up :0) you put me at ease and i got my picture which i will treasure.

The concert was fantastic!!! Not only did i meet some great friends there but we were actually on the front row!! another first for me!! hee hee i loved the concert and you sung a couple of my all time favourites Leather on My Shoes (I had never been at a concert and heard that sung live before) The Long And Winding Road and Sailor WHAT A TREAT!!!

Thankyou for your years of music Chris and thankyou very much for saying Hi to
myself and Pauline you made our day :0)

Take care

Hi Chris,
After seeing you at the Bridgewater Hall 2 years, l made sure l got tickets for this year too.
You were simply amazing, you sang with passion and tenderness, and the band and orchestra were brillant too. I am a dedicated Barry Manilow fan, but you certainly were up there with Barry.
I do have a few albums from my early twentys, spark to a flame and a couple of others, l have bought your new album too, it is fantastic, when you sang without you last night,l could feel goosebumps all over me.
Have a fantastic tour and keep well.
Christine

Hi Chris, thanks you for a wonderful evening last night at the Bridgewater Hall and for giving Wend and me the opportunity to have our pics taken with you, I have waited sooo long for that. It was sooo funny when you took the "mickey" out of my dreadful accent when I told you to stop messing about and come and get your gifts, it was absolutely spot on!!!! See you in Birmingham Sat AND Sun!!!!

Last night we attended the concert in Liverpool at the Philharmonic Hall and had a chat with Chris afterwards.
I have to say that not only was it a brilliant perfomance by Chris and the band(as usual!) but he sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" in memory of the Hillsborough victims and the whole audience were on their feet in the most extraordinary display of emotion.
Chris was understandably moved and recieved a standing ovation.
It was one of those all too brief moments in life when something very special happens. Many thanks for a great evening.

Dear Christopher
It was a real pleasure to be present at your first UK venue in Liverpool last night. In all of your performances I have ever seen over the last 20 years I have never been so moved. When you sang " Ill never walk alone" I thought that a greater power had come amongst us as an audiance and it was you. I am sure you will never forget that moment.
I wish you every success for the coming venues,

Just been to your concert in Liverpool tonight, the Band and Orchestra were excellent! The 3 hours was gone so quickly, wanted more.

An amzingly fantastic concert in Liverpool tonight - April 27th - one of Chris's best ever and I've seen many! Firstly playing solo, then with the band and then with the fantastic orchestra! And the amazing 'You'll never walk alone' sung in honour of the 96 and the reaction afterwards was so emotional - it showed the feeling and support for the Liverpool fans who died and for Chris in singing the song with everyone joining in and swayingetc!
Great entertainment, a great entertainer with beautiful song-writing skills and beatiful voice.
Thanks to Chris, the band and the orchestra for a most memorable evening of 3 full hours of pleasure!!

Hi Chris,

just came back from the extraordinary concert in Liverpool. What a great and emotional show!!!
Many of my all-time favourites like "Here Is Your Paradise". It was lovely to listen to that again. And my "Footsteps"-favourites "The Last Thing On My Mind", "Turn, Turn Turn" and "Footsteps". Fantastic!!!
But of course the most emotional moment was you singing "You'll Never Walk Alone", it was sooo moving.
Thank you very, very much for this memorable evening,

Chris - I have loved you since I was 16. Remember the days of the Pavillion and the Apollo,Glasgow? The best day of my life was Castle Howard Picnic Concert - It was just a perfect day and again a week later at Stirling Castle in aid of the Dunblane disaster, where I just cried my heart out. But, my most memorable concert was Edinburgh where you just came from the stage into my arms and we sang and danced together in the aisle. Chris you are very important to me in my life, every song has a meaning for me. I am so thrilled with your new album and I wish you, and your family well. Please come back to Scotland, I miss your wonderful concerts. Please keep November free - my 50th Birthday - I would love you to be there!!!!!!!

Dear Chris,

your UK tour starts soon. I hope it goes well for you and the band.
I would love to see you in the Royal Albert Hall (which I have just seen from outside on a sightseeing tour through London in 2002) and connect it with another visit to London. It is not possible yet, but I hope to be able to do this as long as you still give concerts there.

I have taken part in the competition, but I doubt that I will be the lucky winner for a ticket and the meet and greet with you because I have never won anything and never had such luck in my life.
I always admire the fans who can go to more than one concert and sit in the first row. Winning the ticket would be great.

Monica

Hello Chris,

I have just been thinking of you at this beautiful time of the year, wishing to sneak a smile on your beautiful face and a ray of joy into your golden heart with the next little springtime poem that was given to me from above, in order "to forward it to you".
Please, accept it as a little springtime-gift from a big fan.

IN THE SPRINGTIME

In the sunny time of spring,
When flowers grow and small birds sing,
I wish a sunny smile to bring
On the sweet face that I love
With some power from above,
To sneak a twinkle in those eyes
In which I found my Paradise,
To slink a ray into the heart
That glows like diamond in the dark;
Guided and guarded by the Light,
Live the best of joy, rose of my heart.

With all my love,

Yours forever,
Emese

HI Chris,
if you have a moment time, please look short into my homepage under the message for Chris de Burgh site. I wrote a short message to you inside this page. Still singing Without you, soon I will get the notes to play it is not so difficult I think like Borderline. Borderline is still a bit to heavy to play in notes for me, but I am learning to read them and to play them.
I wish you good luck for the concerts in England now. I am sure everything will go very well there for you.

Hi Chris,

I just want to say how much i enjoyed watching you on BBC breakfast this morning. It was very touching how you made reference to it being the 20th anniversery of the terribly tragic events that unfolded at Hillsborough in on this exact date in 1989. So many young people lost their lives in this awful incident. I was moved to tears as you sang some lines of You'll Never Walk Alone acapello. You did a grand job. Your voice was soo powerful in places and so gentle and moving in other times.

Moving onto later in the day it was great to hear you on Talk Sport Radio as well. That was also very interesting to listen to. Can you tell how I have spent my day off ?

What can I say about Hells Kitchen!! I have never seen it before and for sure never will again.....it was a dreadful show. The only highlight of the whole BORING hour was a very very small appearance by you..oh and we saw Rosanna next to you as well.

Finally, what a match last night!! It was the best football match I have watched in years and years. Liverpool fought soo hard and can go home feeling very proud of themselves, even though they are out of the Champions League competition. there is always next year to try again!!!

Love and Hugs as ever,
Chris(W)thebluhealer

One day a Spaceman Came Travelling from the Heavens unto our Lonely Sky… He was a great Spirit, a Storyman, who came to take us on the Road to Freedom and teach us how to Say Goodbye to it All, and that, in order to find the Mirror of the Soul, one must first learn to separate the Head and the Heart. This traveler was met with great opposition, a Raging Storm tried to quiet him and keep the people at Separate Tables – to divide them with a Borderline. The purpose of this man’s Journey was to unify; to create One World, one consciousness whereby we would no longer live in the Shadow of the Mountain, but instead together in perfect love and trust, and we would sore, flying High on Emotion, just as the beautiful Songbird did, with all the Grace of a Dancer, in her sweet and shortened life until she returned to her Paradise, where there’s a New Star up in Heaven named Eva Cassidy. And this man honoured her like he has so many countless others. When the time comes for this Leader to return to his home where Peaceful Waters Flow, we will be Crying and Laughing at the same time, thinking of this fine Crusader and how his Tender Hands touched our hearts… how he taught us the meaning of the Words I Love You, and most of all, how his music to our ears was quite simply, The Sweetest Kiss of All.

Then we just saw you again on London Tonight. What a lovely gesture of you to offer your giant Easter egg to the group of cricket stars who are climbing Mount Everest right now,and who are going to play a charity match up there somewhere. It's such a shame that I cannot get to see you live on Loose Women tomorrow, but I have to work, but I will be a tad sad around the time it will be on, knowing that I would have loved to have been there. Ah well, thank goodness for DVD recorders!!!

Not long now till the start of the tour :-))) Whow you seem to be working really really hard with all the promotion work. Please find some time to have a rest before the real tour starts.

Love and hugs as ever,
Chris(W)thebluehealer

Hi Chris,

greetings from a summer-like weekend in Germany and Happy Easter to you and your family.
Hopefully you'll find a bit of time to relax between the many promotion dates you have these days.
Thanks a lot for doing all those radio interviews. It's lovely to listen to you talking, especially as it's without any interpreters.
Take care and see you in Liverpool in just about 2 weeks,
love and hugs,
Andrea

Hello Chris,
Just back from holiday and watched all your TV appearances to date whilst doing the ironing. You look so well, relaxed and in fine 'fettle'.

Saturday Kitchen was particularly good, but Hell's Kitchen??? Not a programme I normally watch; sounds awful but I'm looking forward to seeing your appearance. Good Luck!!

Love, as always,
Jacqueline

Dear Chris,
just to say a big THANK YOU for all the amazing interviews which reached me here in Germany. It is so interesting to listen to all the stuff you tell about the college, the farming on Bargy Castle and about songwriting and working with orchestra and your influences and stories around the songs and it feels well to listen and to hear you laughing happy to be on a place you like so much. Well I cannot write and talk so fluently English like you, but I can understand you very well. So please take all your happy mood and bring it with you to Germany soon! Unfortunately I think we have not such a special place like Birmingham and the Albert Hall here in Germany and I am afraid that I will have to miss this kind of feeling what is there.
Looking forward to the time when you will be here.

Monika

Hi Chris, well the F1 season really has got going on a different level this year hasn't it?? Two wins for Jenson but what a day it turned out to be with all that rain, I can't ever recall a day like the one in Malayasia, certainly looks like we're heading for one of the best seasons ever, far more interesting than it has been for years!!!!

Hi Chris,

I've got some more stuff like a concert in Beirut from the 90's and a lot of television appearances. And also an older promo shot I was hoping to get one day.
The concert is great. Unfortunately, my French has got rusty because of not having used it anymore since school, so I didn't understand that sentence you said to the audience except for two or three words.

I want to tell you more about it. As I have to make a correction for my letter regarding Münster anyway, I'll use the good old post. I hope you're not too sick of me and read it.

Cheers,
Monica

Hi Chris,

Let me say that you are a great artist, nearly all of your songs are super. In our music archives, your folder takes the most space but there is enough for the future ;-), so I hope you'll go on to make such brilliant music.

Greetings from Essen
