In 1976 I walked into a record store and heard the most beautiful chorus. A Spaceman Came Travelling.
I am from Montreal and Chris, you took our city by storm. I make a living playing guitar and singing
with my wife. I can't tell you how many people I have
introduced to your music. I worked 9 years for Club Med and I would put on these concerts at night on the
beach with a bonfire to about 700 people. I would
take everyone on a journey through time and different
lands. Old Friend, Broken Wings, Sailer, Satin Green Shutters,The Tower etc..
I've seen you in concert many times in Montreal,
"Centour Theater" and the "Montreal Forum."
THANK-YOU for your music !!!!

Hola,

I have loved your music since meeting a young man from Poole in Dorset who played "Don't pay the ferryman" in his car.I came home to Staffordshire and bought the TAPE! Played it all through my last year at high school and bought every Chris de Burgh tape I could. My friend Joanne came to my house on one occasion as I was listening to the lines ". .you are mine , blood of my blood" and asked "What's this?? Sounds like bloody Holy Communion!!!" She didn't put me off and nobody ever could. LOVE your music and many of your lyrics.

Hi Chris,
just want to say how much Stewart and I enjoyed our Bundoran weekend and thanks for such a great concert on Saturday evening. We really enjoyed it and thanks again for making the weekend so special for us.
I came back down to reality with a pretty bit bump on Monday morning as i went back to work. The concert now is already like a distant memory, as work problems and other things have taken back over

I trust I will be able to listen to your voice at several concerts, especially looking forward to the one in Weinheim.

Dear Chris,
I don't know if I have told you that I'm a big football fan. I know I've told you in one of my letters a few years ago that I played football with other kids as a child, but I don't know if I mentioned that I still watch football. I keep up following all the qualification games, not only for the German team but also for others.
I've searched in the internet and found out that Ireland won his qualification game a few days ago. Great that Ireland is still in.
Cheers,
Monica

Hi Chris,
glad you enjoyed reading the Christmas message book !!
Its only literally 48 hrs till we fly to Ireland. We fly into Derry airport Friday evening and then have a nearly 2 hour drive in the pitch black to get to Bundoran.....hope its not as bad for me as the drive last time, but as its winter I guess we can expect anything!!
Please please pretty pretty please sing 'Sealed With A Kiss' on Saturday. I'd soooooo love to hear that song in the concert.Just you, your guitar and your wonderful voice..........it doesn't need an orchestra.......and it would sooo make my 'valentines' day special for me :-) and and also 'The Last Thing On My Mind' would be very nice to hear as well :-)
I'm soooo looking forward to Bun-dor-an :-)))) Well thats how you called it last year ;-) if this year is gonna be as good as last year in the 'tent' then we are in for a fabulous night
:-)))))))) I can't wait !!
Love and hugs as ever,

Dear Chris,
Just dropping in to say I'm so sorry to hear about the sudden and unexpected loss of your close friend Phil Easton.
It must have really shocked and saddened you, especially as there were no particular warning signs or illness and yet he died just at 59 years – suddenly, out of the blue. Why is that?
It's like a cannon goes off and the grief catches you unprepared. The fear of losing someone settles over you like fog. You are overcome by gloom shot through with separation anxiety.
I have a few special radio interviews with you and Phil at home, so somehow he is immortal, isn't he? Some people do make themselves immortal, you know...
You'll be okay, won't you? Certainly you are really sad now and you might feel everything is so hard to realize and digestion exhausts you. There is too much perception, and beyond the plethora of perceptions, a plethora of thoughts about the perceptions and about the fact of having perceptions. And digestion is just an involuntary sideline to thinking, which is where the real trouble begins...
Now let me hug you tightly – but I know you have a strong foundation. Nothing ever throws you off the track, does it? Though it must have hit you and my heartfelt sympathies go to his family and friends and all who are going to miss him, of whom you are one.
With love,
Yours Julia

Hi Chris
I have been a fan of your music since mid 70's and have watched your progress over the past 30 years.
You may remember my friend Alan James who used to tour as a tribute act to you.
I would like to ask why the 2009 tour does not include the South West of England. It is extremely difficult to come to your shows when they are so far away.
I have been to your two Plymouth concerts (and obtained extremely good seats)and would love so much to see you again. How about coming down South again?
Love as always
