Dear Chris,
Thank you very much for your concert in Klingenthal. It was for the first time I could see and listened to your concert and I enjoyed it. Now I know I must see you again.
I hope you didn't catch a cold on that (summer)/"winter" concert as you said.
My body was shivering with cold but your wonderful music warmed me up.
I'm looking forward to the next concert.
Regards from Prague.

Hi Chris,
it's another week now till your next concert at Kloster Eberbach. Although it's less than a week since your last concert in Landshut, I am really looking forward to seeing and listening to you again.
Could you maybe think of singing "Day After Day"???
BTW, since the tour is over, we are having the most beautiful weather in Germany :-))) At least in the area where I live... Today we could easily attend an open-air concert without being dressed like in winter :-))
Take care and see you soon,
love and hugs,
Andrea

I have followed Chris de Burgh's music now since 1974. 34 years man and boy. There is no other songwriter to touch his talent in the world. The lyrics are so diversified. He has brought so much enjoyment into my life with such superb lyrics. Always painting a picture in my mind.
I would just like to make a plea to all Chris de Burgh fans world wide to purchase MUCH MORE THAN THIS THE ANTHOLOGY. This ia absolutely breathtaking and CD 4 shows what a perfectionist Chris is. The reason being there is not one song released by Chris that I do not like. On here are two demos not released Because I love you and Bring back the boy. You can tell Chris knew these where not up to his usual standards and kept them demos. Absolutely priceless. My favourite artist of all time and a genuine person as well. I hope there is lots more to come from Chris. I cannot wait for the sound track to the new film, he has done. Keep going chris for the millions of fans world wide.

Dear Chris,
it is now three days ago that you sang The Same Sun in Landshut while asking whether someone perhaps has a friend or a relative maybe at the other side of the world. And today, Tina, a chatfriend from New Zealand wrote me in my guestbook the following lines:
"I am the stranger from the other side of the world, Chris lives across the ditch, lol-you could get to him in a day, take you two at least to come visit me, love ya-tina". Chris isn*t that nice? Well I think I should short explain you why you are the stranger of the other side of the world for me. The reason is not that you are living in Ireland, the reason for me was that you were born in Argentinia, while I was born at the other side of the world. That brought me to your explanation of The Same Sun once out of the shadows to you.
Feel hugged, if you can, I love you, my stranger from the other side of the world!

Hope you and your family are well.
As i have been unable to attend the German concerts it has been great to read the reviews and see the pictures of you and the band.
It sounds like you all had a great time.
What made my day is that Pauline (Yorkshire Rose) gave you a hug a kiss from me :0) :0) .
It would be great to see you in concert in the UK maybe??????????
Well done Chris because the excitement from all the posts has been catching.

Dear Chris,
My Husband and me visited your concert in Hanau at Schloss Philipsruhe on 15th August. The Frankfurt Philharmonie ochestra were great without the e-guitares and the drums. And once again you sang my favourite song from the album The Storyman 'The shadow of the mountainâ€. But I think it wasn't one of your best concert I've ever seen. The sound wasn't as good as we used to hear it. And the people were very quiet. We both more enjoy the last two concerts at Mainz. Nevertheless we celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary with sausages, champagne and your concert.
These days I realized that I also can celebrate my 25th Chris de Burgh Fan-anniversary. So you see, I longer know you than my husband it is somehow funny. When I was 14 years old my brother gave me my first album called 'Eastern Wind†as a birthday gift. Prior I have not know anything about this singer called Chris de Burgh and all I see on the cover was a tree on a field in an upcoming storm. And I think 'Oh my godâ€, what kind of gift is it ?â€. Until that I mostly heard songs from Queen. But I started to hear the songs and I don't understand anything. However I liked the sound of the voice and the different rhythm so I began to translate the songs into German and raise my school English grade from 3 to 1 in addition. Thanks for that.
Full of dreams I enjoyed the song 'Wall of silence†and the story about the 'Eastern Wind†and through the years I bought more and more LPs and later CDs.
So much has happened in the past 25 years. And many times I found comfort in your songs and much more times I feel the yearning to be in different places. It is like an invisible companionship for me. My favourite song of the past is still 'Satin Green Shutters†it is like a dream which never comes true but you never play it in a concert, where I was. I could tell you so much more but it would blow up this site and I am sure no body wants to read that.
If I am able to get a ticket I am going to see you again in Eltville now.
I hope the internet site I found on Friday evening really have the tickets I bought for 145 €.
May all your dreams come true, except of one.
Because every one should have a dream.
Please go on'
Yours Birgit

Hi Chris
A belated very many thanks for the wonderful concerts in Hanau and Aachen. We were sorry we couldn't make it to any others. We hope you are now recovering from the all the touring.
It was especially good to hear some older songs like Sailor and Leather on my Shoes that we had not heard live before. Both concerts were wonderful - the venue at Schloss Philipsruhe amazing and the mix of solo band and orchestra just perfect. Aachen was such a small intimate location and the atmosphere electric. A special thanks for stopping on your way round during LIR :))
Also our thanks to Al, Tony, Dave and Nigel for brilliant performances as ever and to Jason for the hugs!
Looking forward to the next concerts - where? England? when? hopefully won't be too long away.
lots of love

Hi Chris,
after finishing your tour we don't want to forget to say "Thank you" for (for us) two lovely evenings (in Fulda and Aachen). Have a good relaxation, we are all looking forward to the next tour. To sad, we missed to buy tickets for Eltville, but perhaps it's not the last time you will give a solo performance there.
By the way, also a big "Thank you" for allowing the team of cdeb.com to present such an amount of information. Especially the links to the chord&lyrics pages are great and not common on most musicians web pages. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Chris,
well we finally arrived home from Landshut at 01:40 hrs this morning(tuesday 26th August), after yet another flight delay of 2 hours. I can tell you I went straight to bed!!
I am now totally shattered both 'physically' and 'emotionally', but I think it was all worth it!!
Thanks for soo many great shows and for making 'Landshut' so 'special' for me:-))
It is always soo sad when I have to say goodbye to all my German friends, especially Andrea, Konni and Claudia.
Well my brain is 'drained' right now,so i think i will write something more later!!
Till then,

We are back to Russia now and I want to say thank you from all my heart for the wonderful concerts we attended in Schwetzingen, Weimar, Aachen and Hannover! And the meeting before the concert in Aachen was amazing!
It is always such a joy for me to be at your concerts! There are lots of things I learnt and learn from your songs. But from your concerts I learn more, as you are close at that moment. Every concert is a miracle for me!
Thank you very much, Chris!

Dear Chris,
thank you very , very much for this once again wonderful concert-evening leading me to Landshut to which town a lot of memories are just comming up, which I had forgotten over the work in other towns. That had been the town where I got the freshest food for my fist dog, which had been a nice friend when I was climbing in the mountains of Tirol during and after my studies! It was the dog, who loved your music when it was old. Sorry, but I hope you understand this short memory for your dog Millie had birthday not long ago. I was really surprised about all the evenings with your band and the orchest orchestra. Thanks to all they made such a good sound to your lyrics all nights long and I slowly begin to understand how much work it is in music to get all the variations of the notes into the mind. I found Nigel so wonderful when I watched him suddenly changing from piano to keybord. I think it was the first time I realized how good Al Vosper plays guitar and how the different instruments come together in one song of you. STill parts of the long winding road in my mind I fall dreaming from you in concert asleeep and wake up really happy in the morning. Thank you for playing "Lonely Sky" there and for the chance to bring you some roses again to The Same Sun, which you now mentioned as celtic prayer, when I just came out of the church to help you praying for a good evening. Chris it had been a lovely concert-journey to you this year again, beautiful places which I had never seen without you. I saw a lot and learned a lot of new things about my country from you and in my romantic mood I want to say it had been a little bit like in the song You And Me, when I think about the churches and castles I have seen. This Völkerdenkmal, a very impressive building seems to be a place of strengh though it stands a bit lonely and feelt dangerous when I climed up the stairs. Sometimes I think that the melody of the song "I'm not crying over you" brings your voice always to its blossom like in Borderline or Shine On or High on Emotion. I loved the dancing parts and enjoyed your very good mood all nights long and came back with lots of photos from the places and from the concerts so that I have some memories about the most wonderful time in the year, when you decide to give a concert here.
with love
Monika

Dear Chris, just to say how much we enjoyed the two concerts in Leipzig and Klingenthal, despite the rain and then the cold - you kept me warm with your wonderful voice and the lovely words you spoke to me on Friday evening and the big hug on Saturday( I have a lovely photo of that moment), I just sooo wish we could have been to more of the concerts, but I just know my stingy boss would not have given me the time off. I hope you enjoy the gifts that I gave to you, there will be some more arriving in the near future. Take care, much love always, Pauline "The Yorkshire Rose" XX

Dear Chris,
finally "Lucas-Travel" is back at home after a very early 300 km morning drive from Landshut directly to work, where I almost fell asleep a couple of times...
Thanks a lot for all the wonderful concerts, especially you singing solo and with the orchestra. There were a lot of my favourite songs among those you sang. Every concert I saw was special in it's own way.
My friends and I drove many, many kilometres on German motorways and on some nice small country roads. Despite the sometimes bad weather we did a lot of sightseeing, even a bicycle tour in the rain :-)
Now it's back to reality, but I just wanted to say "Thank you" for the special moments during the last 2 1/2 weeks. I hope you had a safe journey back to Ireland and enjoyed this summer(?)-tour.
Take care and see you again in Eltville,
love and hugs,
Andrea

your concert in Landshut 24th August really was great. I've already visited your concert in fulda and it was excellent too and the little bit rain didn't matter at all. Thank you for singing some of my favourite songs like Sailor, Leather on my shoes, Shadow of the mountain and much more.

Hi Chris,
Tank you for a magnificent evening yesterday in Landshut, you must have a very good link to spirit (as we know)and so we had blue sky and I've enjoyed every single moment. For a long time I thought about writing to you beforehand, because there are a few questions, I really would like to ask you. I', a bereavement counsellor for many years since I've lost my husband very young, and many times I play and translate some of your songs to this widowers , widows or parents ...., and it helps them a lot. One of it is "Carry me like a fire in your heart" or I remember when I've heard "Same Sun" for the very first time, it was as if someone from above asked me to listen to the words, and it was as if my husband would sing this words especially to me. You have no idea, how much it meant to me yesterday, when you sang that at the very beginning of your concert. In 2004 my father was dying after a short brief disease and your song " the words I love you" especially when the one upon the cross said " come with me and see the light, that shines for eternity" helped me to let go. I don't know how to put it in words and I don't want to bother you, ---- but Chris you touch my soul so deeply in the true sense of the meaning and I simply need to tell you that. Of course I know how many write to you emails and so on, but I trust in spirit and in God, that if it is meant for me to get an answer, then you will read this email. So I could say "you're so wonderful, your like an angel heaven sent to me and hopefully it was meant for me to get an answer!!!! Even my friend from Scotland, a famous Scottish medium came to see you in my hometown, and we had a great evening with you. I thank you from the deepest of my soul together with my friend and all the grieving people I was able to help through your wonderful words and music. Thank you for posing in front you our camera, when you came down from the stage, it was an unforgetable evening. May God bless you always for all the help you gave me through your songs, and I really hope it is meant for me to get an answer. Love and best wishes Christa
PS: By the way I also speak English, Spanish, German and hopefully I spoke not too much rubbish.

-Addendum to my entry on 06/07/08-
Hello Dear Chris,
I just want to say don't be all too sad about the weather in Leipzig, I thought this would happen one day, as your voice is getting ever stronger. The thing that probably happened was when you started to sing falsetto one of the nasty dark clouds above must have mistaken you for one of those opera singers, and the heavens opened, and once they are open, they are really open. And not even a quick emergency call to St Peter will help in this moment, I'm afraid. Or perhaps the connection was broken for a moment or two. Thank God this cannot happen in Eltville, as its in the Basilika, and you can certainly sing as strongly and as much falsetto as you like there. And in case the ceiling comes down, well, at least I know what I will do: I will seek shelter under your piano.
Love from your pagan girl
Sophia;-))

We're on a coach tour of Ireland from August 31st to Sept 9th. We're near Wexford Sept 8th and in Dublin with loose time Sept 10 thru 12. I have been such a Chris DeBurgh fan, and singing his music from St. John's Newfoundland to Vancouver BC over the years. I hear bits of Chris's musical phrasings in my music and realize how huge an influence he has been. It will be thrilling to be in the neighbourhood and imagining that by some fluke of timing, I could meet Chris in a local pub near Dublin, buy him a glass of their finest red and have a chat about performing and writing; that would be the highlight of my life.
Love the music and probably don't pick up my guitar without playing "Discovery" to warm the fingers and voice. So many great songs!
Kindest Regards

Hello Chris,
just back from the weekend-trip to you to Leipzig, oh what awful highway at the end and what sad news in the radio about this city before, you made me surprised about this monumental building Völkerschlachtdenkmal. So it was a small lesson in history from you in this concert. As far as I remember you it was about Napoleon there and this building was built in 1814 as far as I remember it. Well, I am just thinking whether you got to know that long time ago song "St. Helena um Mitternacht", which is about Napoleon*s end from Freddy Quinn. I don*t know, it came in my mind that there had been a song but not the story behind Napoleon in the song. Stories are always from you in the last years and they are very wonderful. Oh I like it when you talk about history in your concerts. It really refreshes the old knowledge a bit. The roses about you were wonderin g at the end had been from me. Well, sorry I could not come to you with them because the concert would have been broken always through walks to you between the songs. I hope you excuse this.
I*m just back home to my dog and much looking forward to see you in Landshut personally again!:) It is near my homeregion in which you know you are always very welcome here in Bavaria. I hope the weather will be not so wet, when you arrive on Sunday.

Hi Chris,
many thanks for your wonderful concerts in Fulda and Weimar! Each one had it's special highlights for me. Fulda (near my original hometown) with your emotional performance of Shadow Of The Mountain and great orchestral versions of Revolution and In A Country Churchyard (which was my wedding song, played by organ). I took my mother-in-law for the first time to your concert -and she loved you! I'm a fan of yours since 22 years, but was never before encouraged enough to give you a hug when you walk through the audience after a concert. But this time I did!! Just to express my admiration for your music and your shiny way to entertain the audience and spread your good mood. For sure it was the greatest moment among the many CdeB-highlights in my life.
Five days later I visited your concert in Weimar which was complete different! I loved that it was more rocking this time, including lots of my favourites!
And now I'm looking forward your solo concert at Kloster Eberbach, which is not far from where I live. Looking out of my window I can see the first wineyards of the Rheingau. I'm sure, the concert will be the third complete different one. It must be great to hear your unique voice in the basilica. Wouldn't fit songs like Lonely Sky or It's Me perfect to the autumn (or nearly autumn) scenery around the old monestary? Or maybe you will fulfil one of my dreams: Just Another Poor Boy...
Thanks again for your music! Best Wishes
Michaela

In Fulda, your songs, together with a great orchestra, were fantastic (I remembered a concert 10 years ago in Bonn and it seems to me as time stands still for a few moments), and in Hannover hearing the old songs like 'The Traveller', 'Spanish Train' and - don't forget - 'Patricia' was fantastic, too!
Thank you for 2 wonderful concerts, You are the Best and I hope to see you quiet soon in Germany!

Hi Chris,
It was a long drive from Holland to Hannover but it was for sure worthwhile. It does not always rain, only in the UK and the Netherlands, but we cant't blaim the organisation for that.
It was a great show, different from the last concert in Amsterdam, felt much more like a cosy concert in the back of the garden for a few friends.
Thank's for songs like "The risen Lord", "Last Night", and more songs with a deeper meening than only Missing you and Lady in Red.
Hope to see you again soon in Holland,
Jan and Truus

Hi Chris and Band!
Best Concert ever in Hannover, rain or no rain. Fantastic voice (for example Borderline...), powerful band and perfect choice of songs (Sailor, Patricia, Traveller...). Unbelievable how an old Lady like Patricia (aged 114) can still delight the audience.
Best wishes from the man with the hat and his wife!

Hi Chris,
we`re just back home from the concert in Hannover - great concert again and quite different from the concert in Fulda !! This concert yesterday was a real rock-concert. It rained the whole time,we were wet like dogs, but the feeling was hot, the audiance was on fire, it was a great night !
If I had the oportunity, I would join every CdeB.concert...and never mind the weather...- if I only could...

Another great Tour! Thank you so much. The last band tour for Storyman and the new Tour were the best for years. What about a DVD release? There are so many DVDs around where you perform solo but no real good band concert is available. What is the problem with that? It is a shame, really.

Hi Chris,
I'm off to Germany in a few days and hoping that I can get into one of your concerts.
I'm only getting into your music through a friend recently so I'm doing my homework on you. Don't like your flash intro on the front page of your official site though.

Dear Chris,
thank you very much for your fantastic concert in Aachen! We enjoyed it so much! The last time we had had the opportunity to see you live on stage was in the early 90s during your "Power of Ten" tour. On Sturday we brought our 13-year old son with us, and he enjoyed your music, too. It was so wonderful!
All the best

My dearest Chris,
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for your wonderful concerts in Hanau and Aachen, where I also had the great honour of shaking hands with you again, thanks to Astrid's initiative.
Thank you for your incredible performance, so full of energy and emotion. Once more I found myself being transferred to this magical world created by your unique singing and remarkable songs. Thank you for the love, warmth, tolerance and kindness you have been showing to all of us, the fans; I don't know many artists allowing photos being taken during their shows or accepting to meet with their fans before a concert. All of your 'best moves†are highly appreciated by all of us.
I hope that your Greek fans will be lucky enough to enjoy your amazing talent, live, soon' we are waiting for you!
I wish you from the heart, all the blessings of the world.
Carry on taking us to the top with your extraordinary musical and personality charisma!
With love and respect.

Dear Chris,
on Saturday evening in Aachen a lifelong dream of mine came true - I had the chance to meet you prior to the concert. I have been a fan for more than 20 years, I have been to innumerable concerts but never had the chance to attend a so-called 'meet & greet†event. And then Astrid organized it in Aachen since we were such an international group that evening and I was the lucky fan who got the last ticket. Can you see the big smile on my face ?? It has never left my face since that moment.
Your music has given me so much during all these years, it has supported me both in happy and in sad times. Thank you for your wonderful music, the emotional lyrics and your stories. I hope that you will still delight us for many more years with your wonderful voice, your fantastic songs and your loving personality.
Please come back soon !!
Take care,
Evelyn

Dear Chris,
Thank you for another marvellous concert last Saturday in Aachen.
We enjoyed so much the mixture of new and older songs and the special atmosphere you created once again for all of us during that night.
When you are singing songs like 'The same sunâ€, 'I'm not crying over you†or 'The Borderlineâ€, with that exceptionally beautiful and powerful voice of yours, they remain deep in our hearts and stay on our minds for a long time after.
We were seated next to an American gentleman and his wife, who where in Europe for a while, and they came over especially from Antwerpen the day before to see your show. They have a special memory about 'Lady in redâ€, as they met over that song when it came out.
Good luck with the concerts this week. Hope the weather continues to be on your side.
Wishing you, the band and the orchestra a great time.

I visited the open air concert in Aachen, Germany last saturday. I was surprised by the estremly good weather conditions and found myself lucky enough in a good chair, where I could see everything on the podium very well.
Chris is a genius and the concert was astonishingly good. There are not enough words to describe how good it really was. like I said, the man is a genius. I look forward to the next concert I can attent.

Dear Chris,
merci for this wonderful evening in Castle Philippsruhe. You added "Sailor" what reminded me to my hometown, where I heard it some years ago. Thank you for "Leningrad", a sweet memory to the Storyman concerts last year. Not to forget send a special thank you for "The Ballroom Of Romance" in Weimar!:)) Oh so there was the real ballroom of romance?
Well, I looked into the restaurant in the castle and got to hear, that it is closed for your audience. The barkeeper of the restaurant, in which I would have liked to get a cup of coffee, like on usual journeys through Tirol, told me, that it is closed this day. Closed society was standing outside. But the people in the town were nice and I found my car to come good home again. Unfortunately I lost something important from the last night there. What would you do, when you would loose something important from a place, would you go back and search to get it again?
I'm looking forward to hear and to see you next weekend. I hope it is not wrong to write you a short message into your guestbook.

Dear Chris,
what for a wonderful evening yesterday in Hanau....a special atmosphere this night. This moment you read the letter from the child he lost his father, I was so sad and fight with my tears. I must think to my father he died I was a child too. I could feel and see you feel the same. Your voice so emotional at this moment and you fight with the tears too. The first lines from the song "I`m not crying over you" were heavy for you. At this moment I would hug you. You be a wonderful man.
Thank you for the concert...

Just came home from your wonderful show at the Schloss Philippsruhe & it was amazing. Thank you so much, it definitely soothed my momentarily tortured heart to a big degree, the rest will be accomplished in Eltville, I suppose. Hi Chris,
Thanks so much for a unique und wunderful open-air concert evening with you in Schwetzingen, also thanks to a great band and orchester! My boyfriend Ralf and I really enjoyed this variety of lovely songs and your great voice so powerful and emotional. You and your music accompany our life and our love, we never want to miss! Ralf and I wore identical self-designed bright shirts, showing the Storyman CD cover and your face - maybe you had espied us in the audience, likely not. Later we enjoyed the great atmosphere staying in front of the stage near to you, it was so fantastic! "Leather on my shoes" is one of Ralf's favourite songs and I noticed his shiny eyes while enjoying this song. "The same sun" is a song which touches me so much and makes me sometimes even cry, reminding me of April 2006 when I had a planned three week cure stay at the North Sea, after having met Ralf first time in February same year, I missed him so much, only your music and especially this song comforted me somehow over this time. Ralf is fan of your music for many years, and I only since 2006, sorry, I think you can assume why ' ;-) Ralf opened my eyes and ears for your lovely music. Better than never :-) My first live concert with you was in Frankfurt 2006 (three hours!) - and it was the greatest concert experience ever for me. For Schwetzingen 2008, I bought the tickets about half year in advance, without telling Ralf, and I confronted him only two weeks before the concert, a special kind of "saying I love you" :-)- So, Chris, this is to say that we never want to do without your music ! Thanks again for this wonderful concert! Looking forward to your next album and seeing you live on a next occasion. All the best for you! Best regards from Brigitte

Dear Chris and band,
thank you very much for this real beautiful evening in Weimar. Before the concert I could see the Amalia-library, the Goethe-museum from outside and the Schiller-house and the statue from Johann Sebstian Bach, whom you mentioned in your concert, Chris.
Thank you very much for playing "The Same Sun", "Shine On" and "Borderline" so wonderful again. And I was so surprised that you played a part of "The Risen Lord" and "The Last Time I Cried" again there. As finally Nicole as your Lady in red appeared between all the greatest roses for you I've ever seen the surprise about this atmosphere there was complete. I saw a world that was in my dreams.
It is a wonderful world.
Thank you Chris and band

Hi Chris!
I was at the first concert of your summer tour in Zofingen. It was a beautiful night! I couldn't see you on stage the last 6 years because I was living in Rome. Unfortunately, you never did concerts in Italy. So I really enjoded this gig I was waiting for a long time! I really liked to listen to the new songs from the "Storyman-album". I think this album is one of the best of your entire career. Of course, some of your big hits were missing. But if the new material is as good as yours, I don't count the songs I was hoping you to play and finally weren't played.
But I think that there should be standing tickets in front of the stage for the people who want to dance. Those VIP-seats are kind of sad because there werde many free seats for so called VIPs that didn't make the way to Zofingen. Fortunately, the stage rush (hey, that's Rock n' Roll!) was quite early and the mood was much better then and the party could start.
Hope to see you soon back in Switzerland!

The concert in Schwetzingen last Sunday was absolutely amazing with a phantastic and romantic atmosphere. Unfortunately I had to leave earlier because I had to catch the last train via Karlsruhe to Stuttgart. It took me 3,5 hours to get home but it was definitely worth it ;-) I'm a fan since the early 80ies and I cannot stop listing to the songs. They've never lost their fascination. Dear Chris,
now I have a bit time to write you my thanks for the last weekend-concerts. I was surprised to hear "The Shadow Of A Mountain", "I'm Not Crying Over You", "Sailing Away" and "Borderline" again, surprised to hear "Leather On My Shoes" with your explanation and that you played "Discovery", which song once had been the song of you with which I went to sleep every night, felt wonderful!:) The dancing part seemed me to be a little bit longer as in the last year and it had been a really wonderful weekend with you all in your concert. "You were always on my mind" was a good choice too for this year and it was and is very interesting to look at all the musicians in the orchestra, how they play together in reading their notes to bring such a sound together in the air. You had a bit rest this year, because Nige was playing so much of the piano-parts, which you usually played. It was fine to sit and enjoy your music in the sunset of the evening.
Many thanks for this lovey weekend Chris and band and orchestra. To my luck I have some concert-tickets more this year for some towns, so I hope the tour is going on as well as it had begun. It is really nice journey in Germany for me through you, so see and hear you later again. What a nice summer 2008!:))))

I'm back from Fulda. Beside the rain it was a brilliant concert yesterday! First row was a pleasure!
The mixture of solo, band and orchestra was superb! I loved the up tempo songs very much but also YOU WERE ALWAYS ON MY MIND and THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD! And also I'M NOT CRYING OVER YOU! Thanks for that!!!
At the end while dancing in front of the stage I was standing under the egde of the stageroofing! That was a big mistake! There were some (I didn't count them!) waterfalls coming down straight on me!!! I can tell you I become so wet. My shoes are still!!!
Hope to get no cold!

safe travelling throughout August and of course the 1 day in September and many wonderful hours performing as only you can do, I'm counting the days now to when we see you in Leipzig and Klingenthal, it can't come quick enough to get me away from the misery that is called "work" right now.
Love always Pauline , The Yorkshire Rose XX

Dear Chris, I have been a fan of yours for over 20 years (starting with you as special guest before Supertramp in Basel) and never missed one of your concerts in Switzerland or South of Germany. Of course I saw you last night in Zofingen too! Unfortunately this time you chose not to play many of your famous hits like the Getaway, Patricia the Stripper, The Traveller and many more but more unknown songs or love songs which live on the text. That meant that the atmosphere was not the same as usual, people - and me - only started dancing to songs like missing you, don't pay the ferryman and high on emotions. I would have wished to get to hear more of those big hits. I hope that next time we will get the mix of passed concerts again, mix between you alone with your guitar and the beautiful slow songs combined with the old big hits which make people jump from their seats. I am sure that you realized yourself that the atmosphere was not the same as it usually is in a Swiss concert... I am looking forward to seeing you in Switzerland again soon! Eveline

Hi Chris, hello Fans,
German Chris de Burgh-Fans got a new platform to meet and talk about Chris now.
On "wer-kennt-wen.de" (who meets whom) a new "Gruppe"(community) called "Chris de Burgh Fans" has been founded.
At the moment the community has round about 160 members, but I hope, it will grow, to show how much the German fans still love Chris and his music.
"wer-kennt-wen.de" is free of charge and absolutly hip at the moment.
This Guestbook entry is no commercial advertisement, it is still a recommendation between friends.
Liebe Gruesse and Best Regards
Klemens

More that twenty years ago, you was in Paleo (Nyon), in Lausanne (Beaulieu, Malley). I have listen you 2 years ago in Zürich, last year in Zermatt (very intimist and wonderful moment). Hello Mr Chris de Burgh,
I'm sorry to say, that I won't come to one of your concerts in Germany this year! But you sing to far away from my home and I don't have leisure to go to far away places! But I can always hear you on your CDs, that compensates me! For you sing so often "I love you.." or "don't cry over me!" I can't help feeling being addressed with your lyrics and I just wanted to tell you, that I love you, too! And that leads to my question, which you will find in the section: MOtL! I have signed in into your community! Wow! Was it my suggestion, that let to the installation of the community?
Yours sincerely!

Beloved Christopher, If you come to Iran & do the concert, it will open the Gate of western music to Iran & you'll make history. It's not just a flattery. it's the nature of our strict religious governors. They forbid & forbid & forbid, then One thing happens & the Taboo is broken & then came the flood!
So that's why I told You'll make history & be unforgetable in the history of Iran.
So please do it anyway you can. We'll pray for you & wish the best luck & God spped to you.
God Bless You Chris

I saw Chris De Burgh in 1983 in Rochester, NY. I'm a huge fan and why can't he get back to USA. Is he afraid of the Eastern Wind! For us fans hanging in there, checking that spot in the music store between depeech mode and deep purple, because you are never in the right spot, Visit The United States, make your presents for your fans, WE ARE HERE!!!!!!!!
