Hi Chris
I have moved from West Yorkshire, England to Orlando, USA.
I saw you several times in concert when I lived in England and I would like to know if you plan to do any concerts in the USA. I sincerely hope so. I have always loved your music and I cannot imagine not ever seeing you in concert again.
Your music means so much and has been an inspiration to me and many others. Don't ever stop singing.
Forever your fan

Dear Chris,

I just learnt that I am one of the lucky ones who were chosen from SWR1 - our local radio station - to see you in Mannheim in October. I can hardly believe that it's true - that's awesome. I am going through a hard time at the moment, having my father in hospital because of a severe cerebral haemorrhage, and these news make my day and give me strength to fight on together with my dad.

Impatiently looking forward to seeing you in twelve days!

Best wishes,
Ilka

Hi

I'd just like to say that you inspire me and lady in red has changed my life. I was going through a bad patch but after listening to this I now am 'cheek to cheek' with the love of my life. There truly is no-one else, it's just her and me......it's where I want to be.

Thanks Chris

Hi!
Sad, sad day! Yesterday I heard about the October-9-Special-Concert of radio station SWR1. Since then I was looking forward to call them for singing Sight&Touch and perhaps for winning a visit (and for showing that strange Gothic Girls like me don't listen always and solely to weird music :-) ...), but obviously Lady Luck doesn't like me: I couldn't find out the right phone number on the internet and living in the wrong federal state I also couldn't listen to the radio show where they told it...
Well now, I can't help it! Unlike many other people who didn't win I can at least be thrilled to visit the concert in Stuttgart in december! See you when winter comes :-)
Love, kisses and greetings from Germany

Hi Chris,

The new single is positively awesome! I love it, was hooked from the first time I listened to the excerpt here at the site, and had to go and get it yesterday. It's truly wonderful and 'One World' is now one of my absolute favorite songs. The words are so moving and oh so true!

I'm so excited about the release of 'The Storyman' here in Germany and am counting down the days. If it's as great as the three songs on the single, then this is going to be a favorite CD for years to come and one that will constantly be in the player.

I look forward to seeing you on November 24th in Frankfurt. :)

Till then, thanks so very much and take care,
Yvette

PS-the new site format looks positively wonderful, kudoes to the staff here for all the hard work that is done to make this site the best music site on the web.

It' not only love, it's just as well your brilliant music that can light the mirrors of our souls!

Hi Chris,
we only just arrived home from Killarney at 12MN Sunday, so I could not thank you before...SO
thanks for a FANTASTIC concert in Killarney on Saturday night :-))))))))
It lasted 3 whole hours and that was not counting the 'intermission'!!
The new songs sounded brilliant, even if you didn't play my 3 top favourite ones from the CD...i guess we can't hear them all live:-(( Although I love you solo, when you play with a full band, it adds such a dimension and depth to your songs, it is wonderful, and of course you are always much more relaxed when you are with a band! I guess you all had soo much fun rehearsing for THAT show, and I bet you all had a good laugh as we all tried to work out what you were all playing in the second song of the Acoustic Section.......I never thought that I would hear such a version of LIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!it was brilliant. Both Stewart(my brother ;-)! and myself thouroughly enjoyed the concert and cannot wait for the start of the real tour in November, but we will see you before then of course as I was one of the lucky winners of the mailing list to win 2 tickets to see you live in the BBC radio 2 show on October 6th. That is going to be another great night, to experience you singing some of your new songs live with an orchestra. It already brings back such beautiful memories of the outdoor concerts back in the late 1990's when you sang with full orchestra in all those stately homes :-)
My only regret of the concert on Saturday was that I could not dance at the end of the show, although of course I still managed to stand up by the stage:-)) and then finally on Sunday morning when I got up, my foot decided that it had been 'overworked' over the last 2 days and decided to let me know by giving me lots of pain again, so now I am back at home i will be a 'good girl' again and give it plenty of rest, so that it can get better in time for November!! and of course, so i can return to work;-)
once again, thanks for a FANTASTIc concert. You just get better and better!!
love and hugs as ever,
Chris(W)thebluehealer xxXxx

THANKYOU for a wonderful, splendid, amazing, breathtaking, astonishing, surprising, 3-hour-long concert in Killarney! You Are The Best!!! (and the boys did a great job too)

Your new CD is brilliant, can't get enough of the new songs!!!

Now I'm even more looking forward to the coming concerts - and deeply regretting having booked tickets for 2 shows only. - Anyone wanting to get rid of good tickets? *g*

All is wonderful, The photos of Chris, the new musical flash, the contact and reviews section, and the new colour.

I'm not alone in this situation, some of my friends and members of the yahoo list, think the same ( The stary top background, a nice one, makes problems to read the green letter ) for the rest it's perfect.

I am going to the Killarney concert on Saturday with my friend Naomi who I only met a couple of years ago. I went to her house one day and saw a signed Chris photo on her wall and asked how it had come about. She said she had asked Chris to play at her wedding which he had unfortunately (but expectedly) declined and had sent the photo instead. I have been a fan for 25 years and never meet other fans so once we discovered we had Chris in common, we booked a weekend in Killarney. We cannot wait.... Her fave song is This is your Paradise (played at her wedding) and I don't have a favourite really - I love all the love songs and hope to hear loads of them on Sat. Thanks for the wonderful music - 25 years on I still love it.

And still I cannot drive and am still on crutches, but some very nice friends from the 'mailing list' have made sure that we are picked up at the airport and driven around to do some sightseeing as well :-)) right now, I'm trying to figure out how I can get up and dance on crutches, on Saturday night.....still I'm sureI'll figure out a way, and just by seeing you' up on the stage, I bet the pain will disappear ...at least for a while !!

Hello from Turkey...

Actually I never like using this guestbook for this kind of messages, but since I don't know any other ways to reach Chris De Burgh, what can I do...

Once upon time, I remember that Chris De Burgh said that he is planning to go to Turkey again for a concert in 2006. Well, we're approaching to the end of the year, and yet there's no news or even signs of an upcoming concert this year... Let alone a concert in Turkey, there's even not a single concert outside Europe...

I'm loosing my hope, I'm dissapointed, and tired of waiting and waiting and waiting...

Hi Chris
years later but I though I would let you know, i married Judy on October 25th 1998 and for my speech, instead of the usual,i had a piano player and an accoustic guitarist back me singing "here is your paradise". have wedding video to prove.
We listen to your music a lot and have seen you in glasgow twice and manchester in recent years. Probably didn't sound as good as you singing the song but felt it was so appropraite for the day and the moment.looking forward to your next concert so if in Scotland we will be there and you can sing "paradise" and dedicate to us.

best wishes John and Judy.

We were at your concert in Toronto last November and we love and play all your CDS on a regular basis and have been for almost 20 years. We have never been to Ireland so I booked a trip for my husband and I and now I am so disappointed as I just checked your website and saw your concert on September 23rd, 2006. We fly out that day back to Canada after spending 10 days touring around. If only I had checked your website before I booked our flight we would be at this concert in Ireland - your hometown and would have been the highlight of our trip? We sure hope you bring this new tour to Canada!!!

Dear Chris,

you music has touched both me and my wife very deeply for more than 20 years. The highlights have probably been playing Every Drop of Rain as the first song in our wedding in 1992 and For Rosanna in our first child's Christening in 1994.

Now we are eagerly looking forward to getting hold of your new album and the concert in Killarney.

Warm Regards.

Hi Chris,
i just want to wish you and the 'boys in the band' lots of luck and fun as you start your rehearsals for the tour.
I guess it will be a lot of hard work, but we fans will all appreciate it in the end :-)) You can be 100% sure of that!!
As you may have read on the 'mailing list' I badly injured all the ligaments and tendons in my foot last week, as well as fracturing one of the bones, and am now off work for about 6 weeks or more...with the foot/leg immobilized in an aircast (thank goodness the plaster of paris is now off)walker which is very similar to a 'moon boot'in looks!! and i am only allowed to move around a bit and with the use of crutches only. I have only been stuck at home for 10 days now and I am already BORED big style :-(( are you sure you don't need anyone to help you out while you are rehearsing ? i mean there must be something I could do to help you all, and stop me being soo bored ;-) !!
As Killarney is only 3 weeks away now, I may even still have my crutches etc...but be sure i will get there somehow....i will not miss that show for anything !! Its gonna be soo much fun....and of course i might even get a bit of sympathy from you ;-) ah well I can but DREAM!!!!!
The night before your gig at Killarney Stewart and I will go to another show at the same venue....we will see Beautiful South.....but only from the 'first row' .....of the upper balcony !!!!!!!
That's if I can manage to climb that high !!! So all in all, it will be a few fun days out there, as of course we will meet with German 'friends' before the show and for a while the next day. I'm really looking forward to getting away for a few days. Anyyhow, once again, I wish you lots of fun in the next few weeks of rehearsing all those new songs.
Love and hugs as ever,
Chris(W) thebluehealer who could really do with some 'Tender Hands' on her poor hurt foot right now ;-) xxXxx

I actually bought one for a friend who unfortunately had already brought herself one :-( It really is the front row just left of centre stage. The price is 50 Euros which is the exact price of the ticket. If anyone is interested please contact me privately on Chris@cdeb.com

Sorry Ireland

The German goal was a stroke of luck.

I hoped for a no-score draw. But I'm sure that both teams (Germany and Ireland) will reach the European Championship 2008.

The Irish boys played with flying colours.

You are green, you are white, you are IRISH DYNAMITE !!!

Keep it up.....:-)

Dear Chris,
After the concert in Salem I have decided to go on journey this year a Chris de Burgh concertjourney through Germany in wintertime to see you as much as possible with your new songs. I have heard the soundclips on your website and I like them very, very much. If possible I will look television, when you have an appearance there and I am at home from my own work. It is still a long time to meet you again, but I am very happy about the chance to see you again.

Thank you Chris for all you did for me and my really small life with your music.
Monika

Dear Chris,

this message is just to wish you and your band a lot of fun for the Storyman rehearsals.

Also I hope that you will have a nice stay in Luis Figos's beautiful country which unfortunately I can hardly remember... (Coimbra, Lisboa, Sa. Monchique...)

Please take good care - it's such a lonely sky...

Love you, Gerlinde

P.S. ...and the birds will fly south...

Hi Chris!

I can't wait till the single ONE WORLD and the new album THE STORYMAN finally get realeased! From the songs I could listen to so far (meaning the online samples on this website as well as your performance of THE SHADOW OF THE MOUNTAIN at HERZLICHEN GLÜCKWUNSCH), I like THE STORYMAN best. It's got such a great rhythm / melody and the lyric sums up your song writing up to now very vividly. It's already become one of my all-time favourites! - Can't wait to hear that one live!

Good luck for the upcoming tour!! See you in Frankfurt in November!!

Cheers,
Tanja

Hi Chris
My children asked me today had I ever been on tv. I told them I had been, once. It was in the 80's at the concert you performed live at the Liverpool Garden Festival site. I had no idea it was going to go out live on tv, or I would have recorded the concert. However, the following day people came up to me and told me they had seen me on tv at the concert. As the credits rolled the camera fixed on me, while you sang 'where peaceful waters flow'(my favourite song ever. I did get to see the recording and it was me, but never got a copy of the concert. I would love to know if it is possible to get a copy of this concert, anywhere, to show my children.

Keep the music coming...
