Great information!
We used "In A Country Churchyard" as our wedding song in 1992, and have eagerly awaited each album since then.
Are there any plans for Canadian shows for this new tour?

Hi Chris. I love your songs. But, I must tell you I listened to your song firstly from pirate tape. It seems China mainland never print your tapes legally till now. Frankly, few Chinese know you, but most of Chinese are familiar with a song sung by a singer, Chi Chin. The song name is Untill The Last Day of The World. It uses the rhythm of your famous song, A Spaceman Came Travelling. Another singer,Tai Cheng Hsiao, also ever sung this song in his album. they were all express their respect for you. I hope I can buy your albums in China, some day in future.

As always it's good news and bad news... We've had tickets to see CdeB in Holland (my husband's home country) since January which in true murphy's law fashion has coincided with us finally falling successfully pregnant after years of trying! So come 4th December I'll either be 2 weeks overdue or shattered with a new baby and my parents will be enjoying Chris' fantastic show. Naturally we're over the moon that it's finally going to happen for us but I'm hugely gutted that I won't get to see Chris in concert - please tour again soon (preferably when the baby's sleeping through the night and can be left with the unsuspecting grandparents!). Hello Chris de Burgh,
what a surprise! Doris had send me a part from an Interview with you to my litle laptop here and informed me about soccer a little bit. Well I could not see this game, because my television here has not this programms. So very sad I walked to read more in the book of Hemmingway today in that shoppingcenter. Will Liverpool be in the WM now? I did not see football anymore, when I left my family to study in Munich. A long time we had no television there on the country and really I enjoyed it without television. Doris told me that you have been in the Stadion in Liverpool.
And to my surprise afterwards I saw this new outfit of your website with you playing ball there! It is very nice to see and a very good idea. Just in problems about this town. I hope you can get this guestbook-entry. Comes directely from my laptop and my heart.
It is much better to watch a good football-game instead of reading this sad part in the hospital in Hemmingways book. But it is my own guilty to do it, because I asked you and you answered me.
Till later

dear chris,on your last visit to St.john's NL,Canada you played such songs as,BORDERLINE,SAY GOODBYE TO IT ALL,NATASHA and so many more. These songs reminded me of my late grandfather and his testimonies of war,the painful memories and longing for his loved one,he had left behind, until he was re united with her after his military service. It was almost that your performance that night, brought me and my grandfather together and I have the utmost respect for our war veterans and for you chris to exercise that special talent, you so naturally posess. Thank-you for your truly extraordinary contribution to music. Sincerely, shawn lee

On Juli 7th, 2005 I went to your concert in Dresden, it was my first concert with you. I felt physically very bad and no normal person would have driven 2 hours in my condition alone with the car. But I had to see you. I had a bag full of emergency aids. The safety man didn´t want to let me into the hall at all. However, he understood that it didn`t work differently.
I have seen ist, your concert, and I have survived also :). What you have done alone with your voice, your piano and the guitar - I had tears in my eues - you are so fantastic! The people in Dresden are a little reserved. They don´t show her enthusiasm very much. I have lacked this a little.
You have given me the absolute happiness for 3 hours. When I wanted after this concert to my car, you just came fron the back entrance too. Although ony some people who wanted an autogramm of you stood there, you gave none. You only said "I have to go." Words, which I will never forget and you will be never again so near for me. A question employs me until today: Didn`t you like it in Dresden? I hope so much that it isn´t so and that you come to Dresden perhaps once again because this is my only chance to see you in this life once again. Do you come once again? It doesn´t have to be same :).
with much love Ramona

Hi Chris
I hope that the recording session of the storyman is ok for you. I'm sure that we will have a special and perfect result full of surprises and melodies.
I have seen an entry of a french man called Eric from Poitiers and you know that I think the same.
We need you in France again and especially for the storyman, because we wait for you.
For me it's not a problem to travel in Germany or elsewhere because I like this country and the people they live there, but some french can't travel a lot and that is one of the reason.
See you soon, Chris, my website is refurbisched at 70%, so the essential is here and I have to complete by new things and ideas.
enjoy that

Dear Chris de Burgh,
to my surprise and pleasure Doris has discovered, that you will come again to the town, where I am living in in July this year to the Audi-Forum. I have a great wish to you Chris, when you are here. Can you please sign me the "Lovesongs" CD and "A Farewell to Arms" about you wrote me in your MOTL-site?
I am just reading chapter nine. He is wounded on his legs.
It is really interesting to discover what you wrote to some songs. Funny how different it is to be the author and to be the listener in a strange language. I have totally other thoughts in my mind, when I hear a lyric from you, as your thougths had been while you created the lyric. Still I think the reason is to see in the words of another language. Words are the same, but the mind fills them with different pictures and meanings of life. For example the song "Sight and Touch". In my homepage you can see a part of my thoughts to the lines "She's having the strangest dreams of another time and century". Well, I don*t know this film
which you inspired to this song. I've never seen it and I did never think, that you take books or films as source to a song. My mind takes first some parts of a song from you and fills it with the own experiences in my life. What a dream, I'm just awaking from it! Astrid helped me to find an answer from you to the song "Sight and Touch". By the way, when will you find time to continue with the MOTL-site? To understand your stories in the songs the right way, like you want that I understand them, I need the answers from you.
I hope it is true that you will come to the "Symphony of Rock and Pop" on 23. July 2006. Please make it true. That place is just two streets away from my home!
Tonight it was a wonderful moon outside without an e-mail and without long time to sit in front of a screen. Will we be under the same moon in July?
Just dreaming
Monika

Dear Chris,
Here are a few spring impressions from Germany to Ireland - for you:
The horses enjoy the new green while the sun is shining. The birds (particularly the swallows) sing wonderfully. I'm in raptures about these little, black lambs (with curls) in the neighbourhood - soooo sweet and lovely. The flowers shine in red, blue, white, yellow, pink and purple. And I think of the summer - a summer without you.... :-(
Waiting here with patience - but missing you, Gerlinde

Hello Mr Music Man:
On Chris' part of the emails I noticed a phrase that sounds strange to me. Folks were writing about something called 'greet the meat';. What's that? You aren';t supposed to greet it when you are served fresh meat, but you are supposed to gulf it down right away, so nobody but you can enjoy the meal!
Oops, she's laughing, silly human saying it has to do with meeting you and greeting you, sorry, my fault then!
Allright, let's see here: meeting you sounds like a fun plan, for you still owe me a pet on the head, agreed? I'll leave the hands shaking and chatting for Chris and yourself ; that'd make it Chris&Chris, if I remember correctly.
But why then are the emails buzzing with excitement when they write about meeting and greeting with you? I mean last weekend Chris had the friend over visiting, and they were both so happy to see each other, even though they had just seen each other a week or two before that! So if you gave us a call and came for coffee and Hapoo pets, what's the problem? Sure I'm excited to have a new Hapoo friend over, but I really don't get it why everybody is so proud of having done this ritual with you?
Chris hasn't told me yet whether she has had a similar silly reaction when she met you, for I'm sure she must have seen you. Why else would she listen to your voice all of the time, or at least return to your CDs in the throat of her stereo? Too many questions for my poor woofer brain, and you never give me an answer. Looks like I'm going to have to bug my Chris about them then, but she is just going to shake her head and tell me that she needs the keyboard now.
So cheers for now, Hapoo.

Hi Chris,
a couple of days ago my friend Stéphanie from Canada (thanks a lot Steph) sent me a CD with the radio interview you did with CHOM in Montreal last November. By the time you were doing the interview we were visiting the Olympic Park and were not able to listen live on the radio.
The interview took place the day after the first concert in Montreal and you spoke about the reaction of the audience and how much you enjoyed it. It definitely was an extraordinary concert and evening for us fans too. I think everyone got up from their seats as you walked on the stage, it was amazing. And more ovations followed during the show. And still I can't believe the reaction as you started with "Spanish Train". There was clapping, roaring and yelling all the time in Canada, but on the 1. evening in Montreal it seemed to go on and on...
It was certainly a night to remember, that's for sure!!!
I hope you get on well with your Storyman-project - we are very excited!!
Take care and see you hopefully soon,
hugs,
Andrea
