Hi Chris
I've been a fan of yours since Noel Edmonds Played Spanish Train on his Radio 1 sunday morning show when I was a teenager , Your story songs have always been my favourites and take me away to another world whilst i am painting (although i do love dancing at your concerts) . I am really excited about the Storyman Project, and am counting the days till November 18th.!!!
Love Alison xx

Hi Chris,
greetings from Andrea, Fabiola and Sibylle - we spent the weekend at Fabiola's place.
Fabiola spoiled us with lots of delicious food (tons of it :-))) ). BUT: We needed it to survive an exhausting photo session. We took the photos for the Storyman-Tour and are now looking forward to hearing the "morph-song" - preferably BEFORE NOVEMBER!!!!
See you asap

Hi Mr Music Man: This lady has officially gone crazy - I mean my Chris! She went by train to pick up Shadow with me - her shadow that is, which you humans call boyfriend. I call him Shadow anyway. And during all that trip I spied on her listening to your voice again. And then she says that she misses you man on the line. Well that's confusing, I didn't know you needed a leash, too! And I never saw you on a line... or am i missing out on something? She's also spent quite some time on the internet shopping for more of your music - as if she didn't already have half a shelf full! She defends herself by saying that two out of the six or seven items are for her best friend - you might know her, too, as it appears you know everyone but me! Cheers and good food always, Hapoo.

Hi Chris,
It will be four weeks tomorrow since you were here in Melbourne, the time has just flown by.
I am still humming "The Snows Of New York in my head.
I have just recently received a DVD with some of your TV specials on it, including "Songs Of Praise", Thanks to the kind efforts of Chris Williams.
I guess that this will have to tide me over until your new CD is released, unless of course you decide to pay another quick visit to Australia again?(grin)
Will The Storyman Tour concert be released on a DVD? I hope so.
Love and Best wishes,
Julia.

Now,Your music reminds me of Him (he died 5 years ago) so it's even closer to me and more important, althought it occured impossible to me..

I have to wait till november and maybe I will meet you then.
Hopefully you will be in Germany earlier.
It's soo long to wait.
Take care and don't forget the german fans.

Hi Chris,
just read Sibylle's comment here in the guestbook. She is absolutely right: It's much too long to wait until November!
Thanks to Chris Williams (who is always sending me the DVDs) we are able to watch the TV-specials that were shown in England. They are great, but that's not LIVE :-))) So how about a little visit to Germany in the summer???
Please think about it...
Hoping to see you sooner as November,

Dear Chris,
thank you very much for your answer about this two songs. I will go and look wether I can get this book from Ernest Hemmingway, which you like so much."It's me" leades my thoughts back to the days of our study in Munich, when my friend and I often were sitting in a little cafe on Saturday after shopping together. All the thoughts about this relationship to this time are arriving with it. But I know, behind these words "It's me" I can find you and I would be glad to get the chance meeting you in a cafe, like a thougth 'look my most favorite musician and songwriter is comming this way!
Thanks too for your words about "Much more than this". I agree with you, when you say that a good relationship or love sometimes grows like a tree. A wonderful thought from you. I've got the words in songs from you and now I can see an answer from you to me. That is a way from far away between you and me, we had seen us in Wülzburg and Salem the last year, our first look into our eyes, and I think you can imagine how happy I am about this answer from you.
If you have time, click on the link above and we can be in tough with words there for a while, but only if it is not to dangerous for you. I have no problem with writing over the ocean and I think they should not make us a problem with it. It is just that we get aquainted together after more than two decades.
bye Chris till next month, I will always remember that tough of your hand and this lovely evening in Salem.

Hi Chris
Now I know how it's hard to be a fan. I work since 1 year for the french cdeb web site. Since the beginning of this personnal project I feel better because before few years ago I was down due to depressive troubles. I have think that it will be possible to meet you for a short interview in november or by post but it's not possible (I was sure of that). My head is confused at this moment and I don't know what to do but I feel down. I not the fault to anyone it's just me. I think of an absolute good ideas to help potential fans in france who wait for you, but I am lost. Now on the 25th of march if I'm not feel ok I will close my website and follow the life as usual. My friend David from marseille think the same as me. I need the power to follow, please if someone read this mail please help me by reply to give me the strengh to continue.
Thanks

Hi Chris, seeing as my last message didn't make it through properly i'll have another go !!
just listened to your interview on Radio Magic, via the internet of course ;-)...thankfully I have a day off work today. It was really funny to hear that you found out that you would be on the show today via the website !! You see, you can trust us fans to pick up any bit of CdeB
info :-)) Its our 'cdeb radar' working !!! when you said that you could see the snow on the mountains, oh gosh it made me wish that I could whip over and have a nice weekend enjoying the lovely scenery which we have never seen white before!! Wet yes, but not white. Anyhow I had to laugh when you said about that you are probably going to have a 'hoolie' round your house tonight and anyone that could find it was welcome !! Ok, I'm just off to Stanstead airport now to see if I can get a cheap Ryan Air flight over to Ireland, so you'd better watch your front door this evening !!! OK only joking.............well I can dream :-)
So enjoy your evening and have a great time and please please drink a pint of the 'black and white' stuff for me ;-)
BTW wasn't it great to see Liverpool 'stuff' Fulham the other night5-1 :-)) well it was long overdue wasn't it ;-)

Hello (again) Chris,
THANKYOU ever so much for coming to play in Melbourne. Your concert was SUPURB, and I don't think anyone wanted you to leave the stage - we would have kept you going all night if possible :)
I absolutely enjoyed, and really appreciated meeting you backstage, along with Cleo and Julia, it was certainly the 'icing on the cake' for us, a very momentous occasion :) :) I also have to say that when I saw you enter the Stage, to The Road To Freedom, the feeling was exhilarating after the years of anticipation from us here in Australia, seeing you 'in concert' again. The whole evening was overwhelming and very uplifting in every way. As you can guess, we hope to see you back here again!
Take care and I wish you and your family a Very Happy St Patrick's Day!

Hi Mr Music man:
This is Hapoo, Chris' guide dog. Can you tell me what it is about you? Chris has Shadow, who regularly meets up with her and all that. But currently she has your voice coming out of her speakers all day and way into the night. So what's that about the two of you?
I just can't figure it out! Chris says I've seen you some two years ago in a tiny place called Kiel, where you were on a rather high platform and played your music.... o wait, I think I remember!
But you never ever gave me a pet! I had to get them from the folks around me. And this is the only time I had to face the down side of reality - I thought I am the star always! But as soon as they saw you on that platform thing, they forgot all about me, even Chris for a while. Don't worry - Chris says if you ever have a quiet concert I'll go with her, and then I'll see if I can get a pet from you! After all, I'm a pretty, charming, female flirt!
Why is it that you seem to have the power to make Chris leave me behind while she and Shadow come to see you? And something else, Mr Music man, I think you must be nice, because you, too, are called Chris.
Cheers, Hapoo the Hovawart.

Hi Chris,
I'm sure the question coming from Iraq on March 10 wasn't meant to insult you. It seems they think the world of you. But just so you don't doubt, even though I know you don't because you are very secure within yourself, but I wanted to say what my reaction to your voice was on first listening to The Road To Freedom. I was amazed at how rich it sounded. It actually seemed to me that your voice had improved from before. Usually all my life I've ended up singing along with your music because I love to sing and experience it as you do, but this album, I get so much from just listening to the bends and curves of your voice. I think you came up with some new ways to express it as well. In the song Road to Freedom you do an Irish lilt I haven't heard you do before. I know you live there, but your music isn't necessarily Irish sounding. I adore all of your music and I don't know which is necessarily my favorite album, but just listening to your voice on this one, my heart swells within me on whatever emotion you are conveying. You're an inspiration to me on many levels, but also with your singing voice as I sing as well. One thing is, I've got to make myself drink more of that water that's so important!
Take care and keep it up "little singer"

Dear Chris,
just sitting by the wall of a small apartement in Germany, looking at your website, reading a little bit every day from you and wondering how it could be to come in real contact with you via computers. I'm longing for the days, when I have time to hear your records and CD's, dreaming to write the thoughts about it down that you can see them from another view. I'm just thinking about the words far beyond the castle walls, when I'm writing and I hope you are not angry about my little site.
Sometime I mean I can see you writing in a chatroom,'cause I found on your website "Chatting in the IRC", but I am not sure wether there are only people which are teasing me the whole night, when I ask them wether you are online sometimes with your computer. That is actually what happens to me after getting your internetaddress from someone in a track after your concert in Reduilt Tilly in 2004. I think you should know this what happens around your stage after a concert.
I'm still taking my free time to read your words, sometimes needing a dictionary, but I like it very much to do this. For sure I am longing for seeing you again this year and when the weather is fine I can drive to two concerts to you again. It is so nice and makes me happy to get some informations about you with this little laptop here. That brings you a bit near to me and so on. I think I could write endless in endless nights this times.
Just wondering how our nights on a laptop can be.
And I am so happy that I found your new concerttermins seeing where you actually have been and that you will come back soon. I am soooooo happy about this all, even now!

I had a dream tonight. My husband and I were in Ireland on vacation. They invited us to a barbecue. I saw the waterfall and the green hills. I sat on a bench, you came to me. I cried, why say you? I said, I think of my deceased father. I miss him so much. You take me into your arms and tell me, I am not your father but I could try it. This was a wonderful dream. The dream came by asks and answer at MotL of 3-7-6 from Keith. This has touched me very strongly. I was still a child as my father died. I wish you he takes me into this arms. I miss him very much today. I came to your music when I was thirteen. She helped me and give me comfort. You are my father for me, also only from this one distant.
That is right, love is strong, she is powerful at hate and force. We must live the love, only then can defeat
the hate and force. Love as a flower, you must care - else try up. Eyerybody carry the love into the heart, but sometimes is the covered up for hate. Love can blow up chain and move mountain. We shouldn't hate.
All of us are people, if black or white, christ or islam. We live in which world? Mothers throw her children away how garbage. Animals are forced out of profit and fun.
Every day murder and force. Terrible world. All of us, should try to make the world a little better.
I believe on the love and the good one in man. One day, people will live into peace.
I hope my father one day see again, and taking him into the arms again.
Take care of yourself. God bless you and your family.
I love forever and carry you in my heart.
With love
Heike

Dear Chris,
It was with some trepidation I watched 'Europe's Millionaires' on Sunday evening and somewhat surprised that you had agreed to take part.
Programmes like this often make me cringe as I listen to pretentious people boasting of their fortunes. However, I am very pleased to say that you did not come over as one of these people, quite the opposite in fact. As we, your fans know, you are a most charming and down to earth man, considering your status. It would have been a shame if you had come across as anything else.
Hope to see you soon,
Love, as always,
Jacqueline

Hi Chris,
well Stewart and I have just sat and watched the programme on Discovery TV, called 'Europe's Richest People', that of course featured you !! It was pretty interesting really and you for sure came across as the least pretentious and most down to earth person of all the people featured !!! Welll I would say that wouldn't I ;-) but it it true.
I had to laugh at the bit in the 'van' when you had a large banana in your hand, and you talked about being an 'international sex god' (with a big smile on your face of course )!!!!!!!!! and when you talked about the group of 30 or so fans that have gone to all your recent tours over the last few years, now I wonder who some of those people could be
;-)!!! ah well, i'm off to watch the programme again and see the bits I missed the first time round, and then edit all the non CdeB bits out before I put in on a DVD, so that I can watch it again and share it with other fans that could not see it.

Dear Chris,
I hope you come good home. In this moment, I hear your music and dream
from a wonderful place where the sun shine and the bird singing.
Here in Germany is it cold, snow is falling and I long for the spring.
The contribution in MotL of 5.03 and yours answer are super.
Thank you have a good time.
With Love Heike ( a big fan )

Hello Chris
I just want to say thank you so much for such a wonderful concert on Monday night in Melbourne. I travelled from New Zealand to see you as I did not want to share you with anybody else I just wanted to see you!! It was a magical night, and one I will not forget for a long time. I couldn't believe how good you sounded live just you and your guitar and the piano. I especially loved that you came right down into the audience and stood right beside me as I had an aisle seat! Then you shook my hand later as I went up the front at the end of the night. That was fantastic!! Thank you so much for those wonderful memories!!
Love Gail

Hi Chris
i jus got back home from your concert in Dubai. and i'm still in shock about what you said there:
You said you wish that you could perform a concert in Iran!!!
And ayou should have seen me after saying that!!
You are amazing, not only because of what you have said there. because of so many things that i can't believe i have got from your songs and voice during the concert.
Please try to go to Iran! There are so many people who truly love you. They would do anything to have you there. Belive me they would!
Wish you will have a good flight back to home. And thanks for singing to us more than what you were supposed to!
Thanks A Lot.

Hi Chris,
I am very glad that you are back in man on the line. I was very touched by the things you wrote about the beatles. The comments of other fans on your concerts in New Zeeland and Australia do remember me the concerts I attended with my son in Den Haag and Salem. I will never forget them and look forward to your storyman tour especially 4 december in Amsterdam. I will be there with my son and two friends of mine. Your music helps me to cope with the difficulties of my live. Thank you for that. For me you are a very special person.

Dear Chris,
I hope you are coming well home. Your lines from 20.02.06 are very nice.
Thank you. How are the concerts in New Zeeland Australia and Dubai?
I have the report this one presses read from New Zealand. So many young people get drunk with alcohol. This is sad. However, we find this problem everywhere in the world. We shouldn't look away but our children help to need again prospects. The children our future, we must show this to them the right isn't gone.
But Melburne was really super. Nice photos with your fans. I hope, I also can take such a beautiful picture of you in Munich.
I have a couple of kind lines for you.
I sit under the tree, and feel the wind how low through the leaves.
I close my eyes my thought go on the journey to you.
Your voice caresses softly my skin. Your are not here, but so near.
I feel longing love and peace. Nothing dark of the world is existent.
Warmth and light carry me on a wave of luck. Tears run over my
face, affection of love to you touch my heart. I open my eyes, and
think it was only a dream. But I keep exactly this dream in my heart
very deeply for all eternity.
When dark thought reaching me, I leave him free these dream
and my journey to you started again.
Sorry, when my English grammar not is faultless. I do my very best.
I hug and kiss you. Best wishes.
With love
Heike
