I'm just writing to say that I'm completely taken by how Rosanna Davison looks so similar to Hollywood legend Betty Grable. I'm a big fan of Betty Grable and when I first saw a photo of Rosanna I was stunned by the similarity, no wonder Rosanna won miss world if she resembles Betty!!! I'd just like to add that as a Liverpool supporter its always great to hear Chris talking up the reds on radio, and I'm convinced that under Rafa normal service will be resumed. Great website Chris but don't you think its time Rosanna had a website too!, after all she is pretty amazing!!!

Hello Chris,

I enjoyed the T.V. programme "Songs of Praise" from Guernsey today but have to say that it was not quite as good as the one from Blenheim Palace, Oxford!!

I've never been to Guernsey but did visit Jersey once for a particular reason:-) But what stuck in my mind about Guernsey was the phrase, "The island shrouded in mist."

So I'd like to say, "Enjoy your Concerts on the lovely Channel Islands!" I trust that there will be no fog when you're there this time!

Sorry I can't be there myself but will see you soon in Birmingham for your first night at the beautiful Symphony Hall!

From the heart!

Chris R

Hey Chris!

I am currently teaching music classes, and I wanted you to know that your music is a BIG hit with all the students, (ages 5 years to 15!) The students have the opportunity to listen to a variety of musical styles and musicians, and your songs never fail to bring terrific and insightful responses. Today I played Discovery for a class of 10 year olds and after they heard the song the kids were saying things like, "that was beautiful", "I felt like I was a sailor", and "Can we hear it again, please?!" My favorite comment has to be from a 9 year old boy who, upon telling his fellow classmates that he already knew your music, and was accused of lying, responded, "Uh huh, ya big dummies-he has a song about a scary furry man! I think he meant, "ferry" and he indeed knew your music-I quizzed him of course! ;-)

Thanks for all the great inspiration you provide not only for us in our lives as "grown- ups", but for making such a difference in how children come to know and appreciate music. Well done, maestro!

All the Best!
Bree

Hello Chris,

thank you very much for your album "Road to Freedom"!

My mum died last month at the age of 51, and everytime I get sad about that, I listen to your song "The Yourney". The lyrics match my feelings much better than I could tell them.

So, once again, thank you so much!

Hi Chris,

I'am so glad you're coming to The Netherlands again!!!!!!!!!.

I've got a ticket for the concert in Dortmund but my hushband can not join me and it just didn't feel right to go all bij mijself. So, if there is someone looking for a ticket fot the show in Dortmund, i've got one for sale.

And Chris, when you're in Holland for your concert in The Hague, you just have to visit Delft. Delft is an old city ( near The Hague ) with lovely old buildings, churches and small family hotels. You would love it there!.

It's a pity that i will miss the change of meeting you at the meet and greet in Germany but i geuss that somethings are not meand to be.

We are looking forward to see you in november.

With love,

Bianca and Jos van den Berg

Hi Chris!

As I'm sure you have heard "many many" times before, "I'm one of your biggest fans"!!

Except when I say it, I say with "Tender Hands", "Missing You more than words can say", "Lady In Red is dancing with me", "Say goodbye to it all Say goodbye to it all".

Chris I just love your music and just think you are one of the finest if not the finest performing artist of our time.

Congradulations on your return to Irish audiences awhile back on the Daniel O Donnell show. It was a delightful and brilliant performance and interview.

Peace and goodwill to all men!

My thanks and best wishes
Andrew Stokes.

Dear Chris,
I've always enjoyed the way of your music composition and also your lyrics which are mostly focused on SPIRITUAL kind of love.
Although I am a dance music lover and composer but I really like your style and the chord sequences that you use.
My favorite song of yours is "Snows of New York".
You can browse my website on which I present my own songs to the fans of Modern Talking for free. I focus on UNCONDITIONAL love in my own lyrics.
Visit http://www.live-mt.com for more info.
Keep on your good and successful carrier even if you feel you've grown old!
Best Regards,
Andy Matthew

Dear Chris!

Yesterday there were only 2 more months left to wait untill I can see (and "meet & greet") you and enjoy your music and show in Dortmund!!!!!
Now, as the summer-holidays here in Nordrhein-Westfalen are over, time certainly will even pass more quickly, and soon I'll be standing in front of you. I wonder, if I'll even be able to say a word then! I hope, I won't be too nervous to say a serious sentence in English when I meet you face to face!!!!!

I must say again, that it wasn't easy to find somebody to accompany me to your concert because of the high prizes, but meanwhile 2 friends of mine really would love to come to Dortmund, too, but it's too late. All the tickets are sold out! One friend needs a 48,00-€-ticket and another good friend, which I got to know through your guestbook at the end of July, would really love to get a "meet & greet"-ticket! She even would come from the other end of Germany to meet you. She's the "Lady in red" from Altusried. Perhaps you remember! And when she would come to Dortmund we also would have the chance to meet for the first time. So, if somebody wants to sell his ticket, tell it to me over the guestbook!

The "Lady in red" and I correspond by e-mail nearly every day or every 2nd day. I never thought, that we could write so much about you and things concerning you! But it's always a pleasure!

On Sunday I got nearly a heart-attack! You were in German TV (ARD, 11.20 "Immer wieder sonntags") singing "Five past dreams", and I didn't know about it! It wasn't written down in your "TV- and radio-appearences" on your web-page. So I nearly had missed it, and much others really missed it!!!!! I only could see a few seconds of your song (while you were dancing with a little girl), because my son, who was bored and zapping through the TV-channels, saw you and told it to me. Usually my family "hates" you the more I "love" you. I hope you understand, how I mean it. They prefer "harder" music (punk etc.), so I always have to fight for my right! You see, it was a luck, that my 12 years old son even called me to te TV-set at all!!!!!

By the way, my 10 years old daughter doesn't really seem to know, how she finds your music! Sometimes she says she doesn't like it, but when she's alone with me she also sings the refrains of your songs (in spite of her not knowing the English language, she'll start learning it now in the 5th grade). Perhaps I should take her to a concert of you with me the next time, when your're on tour. I hope, we won't have to wait too long for that!!!!!

Now I want to thank you for your song "Read my name". During our holidays in Austria (Zillerta) in the Alpes I always knew what to write in the books ath the tops of the mountains. I simply wrote "I have been here, just read my name (Zitat Chris de Burgh): Doris .........".

It would be so nice to hear "American Pie" in full length in Dortmund! I love this song! But of course all YOUR songs are super, too! You've written something for every mood, you've written much songs about love - in all situations - and also songs about serious items like about (against) war etc. So I still can't stop listening to your music every day and it never gets boring (my poor family)!

Best wishes, and enjoy the next part of your tour in October!

Love,

Doris
