Dear Chris,

when I listen to the new album something happens that I usually only experience at the movies.
Sometimes, if the film is good and works for me, I'm actually sort of drawn into it. And this goes beyond just looking at the pictures, following the story and watching the characters act - it hits you deep down inside to the point where you can easily put yourself in these people's place and feel with them and truly understand. In addition to all the visual stimulation there's generally a carefully devised musical score so that the mood and the imagination are stirred on various levels at the same time. At the very best a two hour film may leave a strong impression for days afterwards.

What I'm driving at is, YOU can do exactly that with a collection of songs!! Film makers have a much bigger store of means and devices at their disposal to help them create these effects. You take us on a journey through a wide range of emotions and conjure up whole strings of images that almost seem real with (excuse me) "only" your voice and your music!

Stand-out tracks for me are the first three, plus "Rose of England" - simply ingenious! For example, I cannot imagine a clearer and more poignant way of expressing an idea like this in film: (quote) "where the thorn is there the blood will run".
However, I'm glad the album ends on a much lighter note. We all like happy endings, don't we!?! And I'm certain many of us, including myself, could use an extra boost of (self-)confidence. So thank you for that :D! One thing's for sure though: YOU have made a difference to the world :)!

If it were up to me, we'd introduce a new category - maybe something like "Virtual Cinematography"!? - and you'd be up for an academy award tomorrow ;). But then again, my favourite actor isn't nominated either (and still he's the best!), so who cares... %)

Chris, your music never fails to lift me up!
During the housecleaning today (which I hate), the sounds of the album "Timing is Everything" filled every room ... and made me smile again!
On turning the volume up, I instantly remembered the big party that we celebrated right in front of the stage last year in July in Siegen - WHAT A FEELING !
I was 7 months pregnant then, and my little baby girl Carolin (who was born on your birthday last year) had to "endure" all my jumping, dancing, clapping and singing ... I enjoyed every second and was soooo high on emotion !!!
Can't wait for the new album and those fantastic concerts!

I first saw him in Antwerp with the night of the proms and that was copple of years ago, and today i saw him again on Belgium television and he sang his new song.
Beautifull i must say cause i'm not a real fan of him like most of them but i appriciate his good music, i'm actually a kelly-fan if anyone knows the kelly family.

First saw Chris de Burgh at Oxford New theatre around 1978/79. He was brilliant then and he's brilliant now. I have just ordered my tickets for the Harrogate concert in October and am really looking forward to it. My favourite albums are Spanish Train and The Getaway (saw him at the Royal Albert Hall performing that, I will never forget Borderline from that concert).

If I´m down, I load at my CD-player a Chris de Burgh CD and the dark clouds are blow away. Chris de Burgh songs are my favorite songs since I was on my frist live concert "Flying Colors" in 1990 in Berlin (Waldbühne) and I show this wonderful show!

No, honestly, I like the new page much better than the old one.

Have a question though:
The new single isn't available in any shop in the UK, ok fine. But I thought we could buy it in Germany. We can't. So I really ask myself:

1.) No one interested in chart success?

2.) No one interested in earning money? And I don't think it's fair to force people (=fans!!) to pay that much shipping costs to Germany and other countries.

Strange things happen on this earth ;-)

Thanks for the UK dates...and thanks for making us drive from Brighton to Liverpool and back to Bournemouth...made a deal with car rentals, eh?

I have been a fan of Chris since the beginning - Far beyond these castle walls - used to belong to the fan club (sorry it lapsed) - have seen him in concert 7 times and four of my five children have also seen him live.

Fave tracks would have to be nearly all of them - Spanish Train, Hold On, Borderline, Carry me etc etc etc. Not so keen on Lady in Red because too many people who don't know Chris's music think that is all he is about.

Saw the Faith and Music show last night and found it very nostalgic.

PS My 22 year old son still recalls seeing Patricia the stripper at Wembley when he was about 6. He loved it!!
