St-Eustache - Québec, Canada 2003/08/27 - 12:08 Hi Chris, I realise that you received only the end of my message. So, essencialy, I wanted to thank you to take a little time for Emmanuelle (ref.:Man on the line, August 25 th). You should have seen the brightness in her eyes; I think I saw forty shades of pure white! You chose words that she was able to understand (and it's even more difficult when you're a french speaker...!). For her, it was like a beautiful story. Of course, you're the BEST story teller! And, yes, we'll buy some lychees! Thank you again, Geneviève

St-Eustache - Québec, Canada 2003/08/27 - 08:51 And thanks to you, she's going to taste some lychees! (YES!!!) Thank you very much for the time you take for all of us. You're very special...

Essex - England 2003/08/25 - 03:11 Dear Chris, I first saw you in concert back in 1978, when I was 16. All these years later and my children enjoy you music too, we take them to the picnic style concerts and they really enjoy them. One of the highlights for me, was staying at the castle, in 1983...I was so excited when I realised that we had the room that can be seen on the front of the "Far Beyond These Catle Walls" album. Also, Mrs Mack telling us stories of when you were a child...we only stayed a few days...but the memories last a lifetime. Thankyou for the music. Love Annette

Seeley Lake - Montana, USA 2003/08/22 - 09:39 I've been listening to Chris de Burgh since the mid eighties and tonight I have been listening to every album, tape and CD that I have (probably 9, but I haven't counted). I love the older albums: Crusader, Spanish Train, End of a Perfect Day, etc. All the songs are what I call "Poetry to Music" Hopefully, some day, I can have all of them on CD. It saddens me to say that very few people here in the States know any of his music except Lady in Red.

His cousin made him discover you a few years ago but unforutunately he died like over 10 years now and my husband "keep in touch with him" through your songs. We love you so much. We got married with one of your wonderful song... Maybe one day we could spend a time together... It would be great for my husband. Thanks ans see you soon. Laurence

Bree T.Donovan (
Moorestown, - New Jersey 2003/08/12 - 08:41 Dear Chris, In the whirlwind of conversation I neglected to inquire, were you inspired? Satin Green Shutters read or discarded? Ireland, so far and yet so close. You know more about it than most, getting to the heart of it within the Connemara Coast. A place where an extraordinary soul rests. Did the words of the farmer ring true? Did you find your song in it? Play on, play well I trust time will tell, if it truly spoke to you. Every Good Wish, Bree (still in the U.S. of A.)

Suceava - ROMANIA 2003/08/10 - 14:02 I listen your music since 1985; there are almost 20 years. I can say you are great; I think you are special as a man too - friend, husband, father and a man of honour. Your music enlightened my first friendship with a beautiful girl, especially "The head and The heart"; but there could be a long list of your superbe songs - for me: highschool student, student and even now (priest, husband, father, friend and a man of honour). I already prayed for you and for everything it belongs to you; I'm still doing. God bless you and your work! Father George N. MOROSAN, Suceava city, ROMANIA.

Whitton,Twickenham - U.K. 2003/08/08 - 02:48 Hello Chris! Re:- MO(T)L 8th August (Laughter etc) Just to say - I LOVE your reply!! I agree with your philosophy on this subject - making people smile/laugh is wonderful "therapy" altogether. I'm usually a quiet sort (though NOT at your concerts as you know!!) and also love surprising people on the odd occasion! Much humour is shared with nursing colleagues - who indulge in very black humour at times! - it's a safety valve for coping with demanding situations. Thanks for making so many people happy! From the heart! Chris Raymond
