Hey Chris!

I cannot tell you how elated I was that you are not cancelling your trip to Toronto this May!
I can understand how people get frightened by the SARS Epidemic, (I work at a hospital here), but we have to live too. Unfortunately, I cannot attend your concert (something I know I am going to regret for the rest of my life!) but it would be pretty incredible to see you around our BEAUTIFUL city!

PLEASE sing "The Tower" for me, I will be there in spirit!

Kindest regards....>> Lori

When Chris sings in Concert, "...our cannons will roar REVOLUTION..." - it's absolutely impossible for me to keep my bum on the seat!

Hi Chris

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your Man on the Line section - particuarly as you recently answered my very own question. It's a great way to really get to know you and find out lots of really interesting stuff.

Can't wait to hear of a UK tour again - seeing you live is magic. I have your live in Dublin CD (which is brilliant and gives me goose bumps as it takes me back to the nights I have watched you live in concert. I play it in the car with the roof off - FANTASTIC. I love all your albums.

Keep singing - you bring so much joy to all your fans. With much love

Hi Chris!
A couple of weeks ago I saw your concert in Kiev. Frankly speaking I was charmed by beauty and strength of your wonderful voice. I’ve seen many live concerts, but I think that your voice is the best I’ve ever heard. In my opinion your voice and good sense of humour make you stand out among other singers. You inspired me to write a poem about your voice. It’s called "Your Voice". I hope you’ll like it.

Hiding for years in a distant tower
Until it gained its power
Turned into a beautiful flower one day
Your voice found its way
The nature made the right choice
By giving you a perfect voice
Keep playing the chords of your soul
To heal and console

Thank you for the inspiration!

Hi Chris !

Many people love you !
Many people hope to see you !
Many people have your song in their heart, in their mind, in their eyes !

Can you feel us on your songs falling in love, making love, get married, being good parents ?

Can you feel all the heart beating on the Earth when listening your songs ?

Please...go on...
With all my love,
Sandrine

Hi Chris!

Thank you so much for everything - for your wonderful music (which has lately inspired many of my fellow students here at the priest seminary), for your recent solo performances (especially Kiev was fantastic - I really enjoyed it!!), and for hopefully many more live concerts to come!
Please continue with your wonderful work, this planet needs more people like you!

Big hug and XX

First of all thank you very much for all the wonderful music you wrote. Your songs helped me through so many difficult situations.
I really hope you will stay in the business for a long time to come. With lots of concerts... ;-)
And another big "THANK YOU"! Why? In one of the answers on the "Man on the line" section of your web page you mentioned a book that once captured you very much: Moonfleet. As I didn't know what book to read next I got myself that one. And the result is that I'm having now quite much trouble with my partner because I can't stop reading....it is simply terrific! WOW!!! Hard to top that one...
Take care,
L.

Hi Chris,
It's a very very long time that you didn't pass here in Belgium.
I'm in a wheelchair since february 1986. I already saw you in concert before my accident (81 or 82). Afterwards, in 86 and 90 or 91 I saw you again, it was at Forest National (Brussels).
You know, I don't like to go so far, Rotterdam, Paris, or somewhere else where I don't know how is it for moving with my wheelchair.
Do you plan a concert in Belgium ?
I hope we'll see you again in Brussels in a few years.
Already thanks.

i hope that u post this comment without any changes...
my comment is about the song "Jerusalem is Lost" it gives a wrong idea about the the muslim leader Salah Addin the song describes him with "raunning away, drinking al-cohlic and devil " so plz Mr Chris de Burgh tell the truth about him

I have had "Just Another Poor Boy" in my head for WEEKS now! (GREAT Easter song!)
As I said in the "Man on the Line" section, your voice has been a inspiration to so many humans around this world.....I have loved your music from the day that I first heard "A Spaceman Came Travelling" (ya, years ago). Now I have to enter the world of technology and change my albums to CD's.....it will be worth every penny!
Please continue to gift the world with your great music!

Hello Again!

I realized that I was remiss in not supplying the web-page that is currently featuring the novel that made Ann, David, Faith and I instant Chris de Burgh fans!

If anyone would like to read excerpts of "Satin Green Shutters" you will find it at: http://www.th-marschall.de This site also features other stories inspired by his music. I can only hope other art forms will also reflect such vision!

I am thankful for the friends I have made, and the friends I will continue to make because of the music of Chris de Burgh!

Hello dear Chris,
I heard almost all your songs and I really love many of them, some of them for their music and some of them for their lyrics and some of them both.

but I have a question :
what do you mean by the song "Crusader" ? I am sure that it is not a real story, as I know Salladin was really invincible.
Do you hate Islam??

It's wonderful to see four new fans from the USA have signed the guestbook.

After reading their messages I am playing your "Best Moves" and enjoying some of the best of your earlier music.
Even though your voice is probably better now than ever the earnestness of your early music appeals to me.

Looking forward to your concert in Quebec City.

Hope you someday decide to come to the USA.

Hello Chris de Burgh,

As an American, I only knew your music through your song "Lady in Red", but
recently I heard your song "Satin Green Shutters" at a Writers Conference I
attended. Quite simply I was BLOWN AWAY!

I have since ordered 3 of your CDs! I am so glad to have discovered the
"hidden treasure" of your music! I'll be sure to share the sounds with
friends too! Were you aware there is a novel being written by one of your
fans entitled; "Satin Green Shutters"? Also good stuff!

Hope you come to the US one day!

Sincerely,
Faith McGovern

Hey Chris!

I am so glad I found this web-site! I live in the US and WOW, did I learn so much more than how to be a better writer at a conference I attended not too long ago! I learned that the man who sings “Lady in Red” also sings, (and writes!) such beautiful and dreamy songs such as, “Satin Green Shutters”! Where have you been all my life?! A friend and I just ordered 4 of your CDs between us. I am sure we will be fighting over them very soon!

I hope you know that you have some pretty devoted and inspired fans here already! And now this “Next Generation” is just as inspired by your writing! Can’t wait to get my hands (and ears!) on those CDs! Have you ever toured the US? If you come anywhere near the Philadelphia/New York area, you can be sure to have a bunch of “wanna be” writers in the audience (wanting to hear Satin Green Shutters for sure!)

Kind Regards
Ann

Never heard your music before, never visited a "fan page" before either, (besides football!) but my girfriend insisted! And, I agreed! We both got to hear you for the first time at a conference about week ago.

I was very impressed, and depressed! I thought I was a pretty good poet, but you got me beat! And my girl thinks so too! We look forward to hearing more of your music!

Glad to "meet you"!

Dear Chris,

We hope your new album for 2003 will be more romantic and with strong lyrics like Quiet Revolution album songs and all songs will be in Flying Colours songs style. Your voice is one of the most important instruments in your music. So please, please, please use your voice like what you used in Flying Colours. I mean those "Ha ha ha" or "La la la" and etc that you use in Flying colours. Please...

We Love you! Hope To See You One Day In Iran or In USA.

Peace!

Dear CHRIS DE BURG
I love your songs very much I alwayes listen to them one of my reason for
listening to your songs is that they are meaningful.
Because the meanings are important for me I have some questions that are as follows:
1-what's the whole meaning of the song "spanish train"and what does it want to describe?
2-what do you mean by risen lord in the song RisenLord?
Again I appriciate your attempts in the field of music.I'd be glad if you'd answer
my questions.
yours faithfully
