i've been a big fan since i was 8 or 9 years old. the best day of my life was when i recieved an autograph, a reply to a letter i'de written to the chris de burgh with "chris de burgh-ireland" written on the envalope. the fact that it actually got to him or somebody, shocked me most. i'm now 16 years old and still a great fan. music that's unique, original and well thought about. each song seems to contain so much sense and understanding. i love it.

Seit fast 20 Jahren begleitet mich seine Musik durch mein Leben, selbst bei meiner Hochzeit wurde "THE CONNEMARA COAST" in der Kirche gespielt!!!

Die bewegendsten Momente und die größten Gefühle verbinde ich immer mit DER BESTEN MUSIK , nämlich mit der von CHRIS DE BURGH !!!!!
Selbst im vorletzten Schwangerschaftsmonat konnte ich noch ein Konzert in Dortmund besuchen, habe bisher auch keines ausgelassen!

Meinem Sohn habe ich als Baby immer seine schönsten Balladen vorgesungen.

Danke Chris, daß es Dich gibt, und schenk' uns noch viele dieser phantastischen Lieder!

I am just wondering if any singer in the world can ever creat a more memorable song than "LADY IN RED"?

It is simply wonderfull and so meaningful. It says the story of LOVE and LIFE, just in a song, for the those people who still want to live like a TRUE human being.

I am a pathologist,here in iran.I have lived with your songs since I was 18 .
now I am 35 & sad to say I lost my spouse due to cancer.such a tragic story

Since I started to learn, my teacher intreduced you and
your songs to me and in our class we worked on your musics
and songs as the listening part . I,ve never seen a singer
and a poet like you . Some of your songs had changed my way

Anyone fans out there of Chris De Burgh? I have been a fan for years although I am only 21.

Anyone got any particular favourite songs by Chris De Burgh, some of my all time favourites are Missing you, Lady in Red, Shine on, Tender Hands, Making the Perfect man and many many others
(He has made so many good songs that it would make me boring to list them all)!

I currently own 5 albums of Chris De Burgh which are Flying Colours, Power of Ten, This Way up, Quiet Revolution and Beautiful Dreams. If I had to pick my favourite albums out of these my choices would be:

1) Flying Colours
2) Power of Ten
3) Quiet Revolution
4) Beautiful Dreams

I am currently borrowing some other albums from one of my work colleagues and am thinking of buying them as I really admire Chris De Burgh as both a singer and a talented musician.

I play the keyboard myself by ear, and have already picked up and managed to play some of his songs myself.
