first i wanted to say that i really enjoyed the concert in Ahoy, Rotterdam.
But the most wonderfull part for me was when you sang snows of New York.
The songs means a lot to my father, he and his soulmate (Ton) had a accident on vacation last year and Ton drouned and my father nearly made it. The song

since I heart your first song, I loved this musik. After I met you live in Concert "Wildenrath/Germany 1993" you're one of my favorit stars. If I remember I see you and hear the songs you sang Lady in red, the Farryman and so on. Your concert in Oberhausen was a great pleasure for me. And in future I will buy me instantly tickets for two concerts, or more :-)

But the concert in Dortmund, Westfallenhalle was the best, especially I could be in the 1´st row.
It´s like a wonder, that you have seen me, as I jumped up between all the dancing people, to show you the letter on stage. But everything is possible, if you want to.

Now, I read constantly the travel guide of Ireland. Eventually, I travel next year in summertime to see the island where you live.
Till then the pictures and descriptions in the travel guide inspired me.

Last Saturday my wife and me went to your concert in Oberhausen. It was a birthday present for my wife Ilka from me, because she loves your music very much. My case of music is something like Iron Maiden, Halford, Rob Tognoni and more heavy metal, but I don't want my wife go alone, so I went with her, looking, what happened to me.

Yesterday we've been to the concert of Chris in Rotterdam despite the storm that was blowing over Holland.
Again, it was fantastic. The songs chosen for this concert were different than other concerts. We found the selection of the songs very brave and Chris' voice was in a very good shape. Last year we were also in Volendam in the church and we were very glad to hear yesterday that Chris will make a tour in all sorts of churches, cathedrals etc througout Europe next year. We are looking forward to it..
Chris, thank you and when will you perform "The Tower" at one of your concerts.

Dear Chris,
I am such a sad girl, cause I missed you yesterday in Rotterdam. Any train here in the middle of Germany was cancelled, so I had no chance to go to Rotterdam :-((( And driving by car was too dangerous as the weather-broadcasting services told me:-((( So, what can make me feel better??? Of course the memories of the concert I have seen ( for example Dortmund, which was very good, or Bamberg, which was in my opinion also fantastic or at least Oberhausen, which was the ultimate best one!!!) or a promise that you`ll come with your new album as soon as possible?!? And one thing I have to add: The two new songs, which I joined to listen were lyrically amazing!

But Sunday 27-10-02 an heavy storm raged
over Holland. We did everything that was
possible to reach Ahoy, but we did not
succeed.We were very disappointed.

Beste fans

Erg jammer dat het concert zondag 27 oktober in Ahoy toch door is gegaan. Ik had 5 kaarten en kijk er al een jaar naar uit. Ik kan er niet heen, omdat het stormt. De zwaarste storm in 12 jaar in Nederland, het openbaar vervoer ligt plat, de politie waarschuwd niet de straat op te gaan. Er zijn veel mensen die voor hun eigen veiligheid thuis blijven en terecht. Ik vind het schandalig van Ahoy( of van wie dan ook) dat het gewoon door gaat. Zonde van het geld, maar nog erger dat ik zijn concert mis!!! Ik hoop dat hij snel nog een keer naar Nederland komt!!

Hi Chris,

Seems weather gods are prohibiting most of your fans in the Netherlands to watch you play in Ahoy. Really, really disappointed, we were looking forward to it immensely, having bought the tickets in March already! But since the storm has immobilised trains, subways and buses, and it is regarded as highly dangerous to go out by car, it is not to be. Bravo to the people that will be able to get there!
So, it looks like we will have to wait patiently for another year (or two?) and instead will listen to your cd's over and over again. We'll turn it up a bit to tune out the howling winds outside.

Chris. I have been a fan since back in '75 when I had a vinyl of Far Beyond These Castle Walls! Your voical talent and wonderful lyrics are unmatched. One question: with the exception of Lady in Red, it is almost impossible to find Karaoke CD+G versions of your songs. I would love to sing some of your songs in Karaoke if I could only find them. Thank you very much for a nice evening yesterday in Hanover - you were, as always since I saw you first in 1982 on your Getaway-Tour - perfect. It is a pitty that times have changed and the audience is now just a few compared to the 80s. I will never forget phantastic evenings like they were on the "Getaway"-, the "Men on the line"-, the "Flying Colours"- or the "Into the light"-tour! Of course I this time missed some oldies like "Spanish Train" or "Patricia" and, through all this time I never saw your "Crusader" on stage. But anyway, thank you very much for at least 3 hours of perfect music. I am looking forward to your next tour and maybe the new albm of 2003(?) will include something special again like "Borderline"?

Just finished watching the concert live from Frankfurt online. My reception was very poor but I enjoyed it. I could feel the energy from you, the band and audience. Do wish some of your concerts were on DVD. I have the Volendam DVD but it would be great to have others.
Hopefully there are plans to do a concert in the USA or at least in Canada next year.

I saw Chris live in Stuttgart last Saturday. It was my 9th concert and it was a brilliant one - a very good performance of Chris and his band. I especially liked the unplugged versions of "Sailor" and "Perfect Day", which he performed live for the first time. I was wondering why he didn't play "Patricia" and "Where Peaceful Waters Flow" at the end of the concert as usual. People were very confused when he left the stage after "Snows Of New York" and the lights went on. It would be very helpful, if some of you could give us an idea of what he was singing at the other concerts. Once again: A great performance !

I think your new album "Timing Is Everything" is different to all your other ones, but after listening to it the third time, I really love it! My favorite song is "Bal Masqué" - I don´t really know why, but it is a great song! I really look forward to your show in Frankfurt at october 18th. And I hope you sing a lot of songs of your last album "Quiet Revolution" - the best album you ever made!!!

Yesterday the Concert in Stuttgart was absolute SUPER!!!! It was my 7. Concert (5xHannover, 1xHeilbronn-Burg Stettenfels und 1xStuttgart)and I can say all the Concerts were fantastic!!!!
I´m a Fan from You and your Music since 1986.

Your new Album is fantastic again. My favourites Songs are: Guilty Secret, Lebanese Night and There´s room in this Heart tonight.

I signed up my family and me to win a Timing is Everything CD. My son won. Of course, the CD became mine. I am so glad I now have an autographed CD of Chris'. There was a note of congratulations included with the CD. It was not signed, but I was wonderdering if Chris also wrote the note. I was just ready to go searching on the web to find where to buy the CD and then I checked this site first. Boy, I was thrilled to see my son's name as a winner, and he was the only one in the USA. I absolutely love Chris' new CD. It really speaks to me in several of his songs. I just wish he would come and see us over here soon. We never realised how many Chris De Burgh fans there are out there!!!

De Burgh's music has been the inspiration to our relationship, we just can't get enough of it!!!

Hi Chris, When I read about Your new Album being on sale through a sunday newspaper,I happened to be in Holland 17th sept and Got it,when I first listened to it,I thought well, not to bad,But Now I have heard it a dozen or more times it grows on you.

we're very sad that you won't be visiting belgium during the european tour, hopefully next time it will be possible. In the mean time we will come out to the Netherlands on the 27th of October, it's a long drive but it's surely worth it!!

Your latest album Timing Is Everything, is fantastic. I like every track especially Lebanese Night. I really think this song has all the attributes to make it a smash hit if you were to release it as a single, the sound is quite unique and the words make it easy to imagine the scars left in young minds by the act of war.
I really hope that the album sells well for you as you are a true talent, who consistently writes poetic songs and performs them brilliantly.
