I have been a great fan of Chris De Burghs music since I heard Lady in Red. The first music my husband ever played for me was The Getaway. I have been hooked ever since. I have 14 cds and have a list of the ones I still need. My daughter who is 7 sings at the top of her lungs right along with me in our car! She has been a Chris De Burgh fan since Before she was born. Chris,

First let me state that my wife has been a loyal fan of yours for quite a
while. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world! On to my favor: Is it possible to get an autographed photo, or something of you for my wife,
Nadine. She has a thing for worn, used t-shirts. One of her dear friends was
killed in 1998 & in his will he left her a bunch of his old t-shirts, along
with his peace officer badge. What meant the most were those old ratty
t-shirts because she wears them as though they were gold. It's the simple things in life that she treasures. She was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 20 and at age 38, suffered a massive stroke that almost killed her, instead left her paralyzed on her entire left side. She didn't let that keep her down. I have watched this gorgeous (and I mean she is so beautiful inside & out) woman struggle for 3 years just to be able to get herself out of bed and get to and from the bathroom using a 3 wheeled walker. My heart breaks just thinking of all she
has had to deal with in her 42 years. remarkedly, she is doesn't take out
her frustrations on anyone & is not a bitch. November 11, 2000, she fell in
our bathroom, shattering her hip and fractured her femur so she had surgery
the 12th to repair the bones and had to reattach tendons & ligaments in her
knee as well. Her mother takes care of her while I am at work because now
she cannot get out of bed or bend her knee to the extent that she had
before. How much can one person deal with and not crumble? Had that happened
to me, I'm afraid that I would have pulled the trigger long ago. Her spirit
is bright and strong, though I know her well enough to see that she is tired. Just this last week she ha been able to walk 50 feet (not steps), though she cannot "feel" her left side at all except for hot/cold & pain. Just how she does this I don't know. I know something from you (even a ratty old t-shirt) would lift her spirits!

I understand your time is very precious & limited, thus I am more than willing to pay you for your time, postage, etc. It is very difficult to live on one income, however, nothing is too good for my wife and I will find a way!

Does anyone share my belief that "Into The Light" is a thematic album based on war and the "spirit
of man" holding through the adversity?

I'm just thinking how the songs link together from start to finish, often going back to the same
sort of lines.

There's been "Spanish Train" with songs like "The Tower" based on adult fairy tales, and
later the first war song was probably "Borderline".

Keep up the good work, everybody!
