Villingen-Schwenningen - Export sales 2001/08/28 - 05:14 Hi Chris, Maybe you'll think I'm quite slow, but some things just stay on your mind for a long time, like your songs. In 1988 you made a special film for the German TV that was called "Eine musikalische Reise durch Irland". In that little film you showed an organ which your brother rebuilt and to demonstrate how it sounds you played a beautiful song which I never found on any of your albums. Maybe you can mail the lyrics and some information about this song to me. It starts as follows: Standing at the wall memorial Children holding hands People getting ready They waiting for the band ... Thanking you in advance and warm regards Yours Karin

Tehran - Tehran 2001/08/26 - 14:05 In the name of the Lord Hi Chris it's second time that I sign this book and I'm very happy to do it again. Well I can't say how much I love you and how much i love your songs. these question is too hard to answer. but I just say I live with your songs. I wrote a book. in this book i wrote your songs all of your songs but I never released. all of my friend want it but i avoid from this. I have all of your albumes and your songs that just in your singles like the power of peace--love is my decision--do what you--strangers on a train--when i see you tonight--lady in red(spanish version)--separate tables(en&german version with vicky leandros)and... my friend told me Amir de Burgh and you will be with chris. I have your concerts (munich-dublin-beautiful dreams) One of my biggest with that everybody respect is I want to see you and my friend told that you'll reach that. Chris I just say you are in my heart and I Love You. Good night(from Far beyond these castle walls) Best wishes Amir Mahdavi

Edmonton via Parramatta - ALberta,Canada 2001/08/25 - 14:33 Chris, It's great to see and write to you to let you know how much your music means to your fans. I have been to most of your concerts in Canada ( i did missyou in TO in 2000) and have always enjoyed your uplifting music, style, and world class demeanor. You have given back so much to the world that words cannot do enough justice. Keep up with everything you are doing and thank you very much.

Toronto - Ontario 2001/08/25 - 10:20 Well the first time I got used to listen to music, I started with Chris De Burgh's songs and I'm really happy for the choice I made that time. I began with "The last time I cried" and still after 8 years from the first time I started to listen to music, I still love his songs and still compeleting my colection of his songs. I think the most important thing about his songs is that unlike all the other songs they are about real life and that they have meaning. I hope these songs remain for ever.

But it was so shock for me that your voice was so sweet and attractive in that song... Now I have loved all your beautiful songs and became a faithful fan...^^ Even though I cannot speak English well and it not my mother tongue, I will love your music forever and you will be remained one of my favorite singers...

Victoria - British Columbia 2001/08/22 - 21:50 I remember the first concert of yours I saw in Regina Saskatchewan back in 1980 I think. There were only about a 100 people there as it was an overflow concert. You were still a secret to most of Canada that didn't have FM and it was like having you in my own living room. Your sound system died in the middle of Spanish Train so you sparked up a conversation with me and my group about where we were from. Moose Jaw was where we lived and you thought that to be rather amusing (living there wasn't so amusing, believe me!!) The next time I saw you was at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. I needed oxygen I was so high up! Small intimate concert or huge arena concert, you put on one hell of a show. When are you coming back to Canada???

Gigi (
Toronto - Ontario 2001/08/20 - 21:57 Dear Chris, I fell in love with your voice, music and words when I first heard "Don't Pay the Ferryman". But that was just the beginning... I was pregnant with my first when I first heard "Rosanna". My daughter, Lydia, probably knew all the words by the time she was born. She heard it that much! "Just a Word Away" came out on when I was pregnant with my son. I could not think of a more fitting tribute to the man who pulled me into this songs - my son is Chris! The joy in your songs, the love, the pain. I feel it. I live it. I love it. Your music has started some of the most heart felt, deep conversations that I have ever had with my 2 children. I saw you in concert in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I dreamed of repeating in Toronto, but finances just weren't there for the ticket costs. But we tried, the 3 of us - to go. So until, we get the chance again, I will be happy with my vast CD and LP collection. The world is a better place because you are a part of it. Thank you for being there in the joy and the sorrows of my life. I wish you all the best. You are a beautiful person. Gigi

Lalling - Germany (Lower Bavaria) 2001/08/19 - 16:10 Hellooo! I just wanted to say that I really love you, Chris. You have changed my life a lot. I want to see you in concert again soon, I saw you 4 times up to now. It was so great when you talked to me in the Donauarena Regensburg, but I could not say what I wanted to say as I was soo nervous! You are the greatest guy on earth, you really are. I have bought your guitar, you had it up for auction on Ebay and you showed it on the TV show "Wetten dass?!" - maybe I am mad, but I had to have a piece of you and I am really proud now to have this beautiful guitar with your signature! If I cannot have YOU, I have got the guitar, at least...! Once again: I LOVE YOU! Keep on singing for your fans, you know CdeB fans are the best. See you, Ines

Inverness - Inverness-Shire Scotland 2001/08/08 - 17:46 My name is Richard I'm from Inverness in the highlands of Scotland. I'm twenty years old and have been a great fan of Chris de burgh since I was ten years old. I think that Chris is a wonderful singer and song writer. I have all of chris's albums every one. And I seen him in concert twice if I had the chance to see him again I would. Even better I would love to see him and talk to him it would be the best thing that could happen to me. I tried to write a song for the lady I always loved but never got loved back it's called Please come back to me Since you left me you tore me apart, Since you left me you broke my heart, Why did you leave me why did you go? Why did you leave my life I'll never know, I have always cared for you, So please come back to me please come back to me, I need you here with me I need you here with me, I don't know what I would do if I were without you, So please don't go away I want you to stay, I remember when we always would be togther, I remember when I kissed your lips put my hands through your hair with my fingertips, I remember when I looked deep into your eyes there where more beautiful than the blue skies, But now it's time for me to to say my goodbyes, But I will always know I love you so, Please come back to me please come back to me, I need you here with me I need you here with me, I don't know what I would do if I had to live my life without you, So please don't go away I want you to stay, Yes please come back to me I really want you here with me, Oh yes please come back to me, Thanks from Richard

Honolulu - Hawaii 2001/08/02 - 05:06 Originaly from South America , I have heard your songs for years , especially "The Lady in Red". From the first moment I heard it , I loved it.Is just that not until two or three years ago when I moved to the U.S. was when I finally found out that you were the author. I mean ,your song meant a lot to me and still does , because I love my girlfriend even more when I listen to it , while I'm dancing with her. Even when I'm away, she listens to it and tells me that she cries because I'm not around. In conclusion, I love her in part because of your song "The Lady in Red". Again , that song means a whole lot to me , and I thank you for it. This letter might not mean a lot comparing to the others, but what I said here is the truth and I really mean every single word I said , thanks again. I hope that you keep writting songs like this.... and never give up.
