I am trying to find out if "At the End of a Perfect Day" has been released on CD. I have worn out my LP and have lost my cassette. It is my favourite album and have been looking all over Ottawa for a copy of it.
I loved the concert in April in Ottawa and have not missed one yet!

Dear Chris,
Saw the most wonderful concert of all time at the Molson Centre on April 7th in Montreal. I was lucky enough to meet with you before the concert, where photos were taken and you signed photos and a CD jacket for me. My brother presented you with a Montreal Canadiens jersey (when you wear it, think of us, PLEASE). I just received the photos taken that night of you and I in conversation (although I was so awestruck standing talking with MY IDOL, that I can't honestly remember what we said to each other!) and the UNBELIEVABLE photos are framed and take a predominant place in my den so that I pass them at least 10 times a day. I still cannot believe that night happened. THANK YOU FOR SPENDING YOUR TIME WITH US BEFORE YOUR CONCERT! I hope you read my little note ... everything I said is true. You do make life worthwhile with your music. If I feel down, I turn to your music and somehow everything just seems to be o.k. then. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE COME BACK TO MONTREAL AS SOON AS YOU CAN ... A CdeB fan FOREVER!!!

Dear Chris,
thank you for the wonderful concert in Ludwigshafen, not MANNHEIM. Even when there were only 2.500 people to watch you it was great, like in Frankfurt. The criticism in our newspaper was awful, but it was written from a man, who didn`t love your songs. So don`t worry, and we like to see you in the next concert.
Take care and carry us all like a fire in your heart.
With much love,

saw you last night for the second time on your German tour, this time in my hometown Karlsruhe.
The gig was great, the band were the best band I have ever heard playing , and the concert was worth listening to. There are not many artists who appear on stage for more than 3 hours, this is why everybody will see you again on your next tour.
Chris, please do produce a live album of the tour and a video , your latest live album is more than 10 years old. This is what we are waiting for : a live album !!!!!!

My profession is jurnalism. I am the editor-in-chief of the magazine for printing industry. I admire Your music and poetry so much that even on the biggest world fair in this industry I found the time to write this e-mail. I have heard that You will have the concert in Poland soon. If it is true, I (and my family) would like to come to hear You live. One of the first songs I have learned was not "Lady in red" but "For Rosanna" - it made me the fan of cdeb. Maybe the printing industry in Poland can do something for you? I hope to talk to You some day. Artur Dziedzic

Dear Chris,
last night at your performance in Ludwigshafen-Mannheim, you made a dream come true for me when you knelt down and sang The same sun while looking at me when I handed you a rose. For me this was a very emotion-stirring moment which I will never forget. Thank you so much, it was wonderful to be so close to you for a moment. Your voice has been part of my world since I was a little girl and you have enriched my life and comforted me with your songs many times. I just want to say "thank you". My husband and I recently attended Chris' performance
here in London, and were amazed at his stamina, playing
for 3 solid hours and then returning with 2 encores! It
was my third concert, my husband's first. Needless to say, I have
converted him to fan status. I was in seventh heaven,
considering it had been 10 years since I saw him last perform.
If I had to use one word to describe Chris' music, I would
have to say, "cinematic." His songs are so visual! The words create
such vivid images in the mind's eye, and his melodies seize us
with such a wide range of emotions. I see it all, the adventures,
the dramas, the romances, even the comedies -- all right there
on the silver screen of my imagination.
Like all his fans, I am forever grateful for the many ways he
has touched and inspired me through his music. Please continue to
use your wonderful gift of song to make our world a better place, and
come back to London again soon!
PS If you ever get the inclination to write a song about King Arthur/Camelot,
I would be ecstatic!

I have been a fan since the early eighties
when I picked up a double cassette of Spanish
Train & Other Stories and Crusader. I had a
vague idea of who he was -- Don't Pay the Ferryman
was played quite a bit around this time,
if I remember right. I was hooked! If I
had to use one word to describe his music,
it would be "cinematic." His words paint
such vivid imagery in my mind, his melodies
arouse such range of emotion. Like many of
you, I have been influenced and inspired
by his music for most of my life, and Chris, if
you read this, I thank you for the many
ways your music has touched me. My husband and I
attended your show at Centennial Hall in April
and he is now a confirmed fan -- as are my two
young daughters, aged 4 and 2. If I could ask
one thing of you, Chris, it would be a ballad about
King Arthur/Camelot -- a subject close to my
heart. Please come visit us in London again
soon!

SIMPLE WORDS
(sound of silence)
true feelings just by my side again
these are the words so simple
your poor man prays before the church
as the victim of misjudgement after all
you wanna push me into the garden of lovers
but naked soul over shallow ocean is the only one
will i survive or die in the past of us ?
no longer the same as what once was
sound of silence frames the picture of love
and sensational confession sleeps in my mind tonight
won't you touch to share his impairing pain again?
won't you go all along in peace in pieces anyway?
who holds hard apart whom, my love ?
whose cross to cross oneself in the circle of love?
won't you touch to share his impairing pain again?
won't you go all along in peace in pieces anyway?
who holds hard apart whom, my love ?
whose cross to cross oneself in the circle of love?

Chris,
I had the privilege of driving 4 1/2 hours one way to see your recent concert in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My wife, Patricia, and I spoke to you after the concert at a local bar. I would just like to say, again, how much I enjoyed the concert - I've been to many, of artists from all genres, but you are, by far, the best vocalist and performer of them all. No one has the songwriting ability you have, and no one can stir emotions like you. Kepp up the good work. How about a New Brunswick stop on your next tour?
Can't wait to hear you again.

Hi,Chris
I'm 24 and I've been feeling your music
since "Into the light", when I was only
eleven.
I have to say that you're the greatest
singer and your lyrics are really beautiful.
My family and friends have joined my
particular "crusade" and we'll hope to see
you soon in concert in Madrid.
Thank you for all the moments I've lived
with your music.

How disappointed I am! I just checked to see where the UK tour dates are, and was saddened to see that Belfast has been left out! I went to two concerts in Belfast and loved them, but am growing old waiting for my third! Please fix this oversight!

I have been a fan since 1977 when, while
telling a friend about a beautiful song
I had heard on the radio, her boyfriend
suddenly announced that he not only knew
the song, but had the album. The song
was "A Spaceman Came Traveling" from
Spanish Train, and he gave me the album.
I've been buying your albums and CD's
ever since. Although I've never had the
opportunity to see one of your concerts
I hope to do so in the future. Thank you
for sharing your talent.

I am 19 years old and a fan of the great de burgh.
it's hard to find words to aproach my describing of this genuis.
all i can say is this: Chris you are great, your lyrics are outstanding and your voice makes them come to life. From your fisrt album "far beyond these castles wall" to your last one quiet revolution" you have been fantastic. Altough your albums differ one from another, they still capture my imagination. I love Song's like windy night, hold on and windy night.
But i also adore the spanish train genre. Well in simple words, i love all of your songs the only album i found not that great was "This way up"(but i loved the songs this is love and up here in heaven). Please keep it up!!!
And i would love to get in contact with you directly:)))by the way i was at the concert at the molson center,
what a GREAT NIGHT IT WAS.!!!!! a dream come true for me.

Hi Chris,
After reading all the comments from
exotic shores and great places in our
own country, I would like to say a big
thankyou for both your wonderful music
and the beautiful words that you write
- they are listened to with new
enthusiasm each day in this quiet and
sleepy part of the North Yorkshire
Dales.
Your music means a great deal to my
husband and I. We, and our family, await
the next recordings with great
excitement!
Valerie
Thanks once again for sharing your gifts.

DREAMS OF US
love after love
like the light in your eyes
falling deep inside in silence
how hard to hold you in my arms
but should not be so sure
this is the love so strong between us
now and forever
and walked on and on alone
all around your home
and no shadows should be shared at all
just to feel for more emotýon
and the truth lies in lie
of my life alive...
i kept all the time
so sweet secret dreams of us
but making now no sense at all
really ready to fall apart
love after love

Hi ..
Just would like to say Ihave missed your concert when you came to Montreal last month .. I didnt know about it till I went to your webpage a few minutes ago .. I have been hearing this song in french for a while now and couldnt find out who sang it till I went into the radio station's webpage and found that it was Chrai de Burgh that sang it .. I love the accent and the words .. wish I could get the lirics in french .. I do like it in english also but the one in french has that special accent that I just love .. thank you for making such great music ... *S* Martine
