Hi Chris.

I pulled out some old vinyl recently and came across 'The Getaway' album. I gave it a spin and a flood of memories came crashing down. (All good.) I used to listen to this album ALL THE TIME. It sounded great then and it sounds great now.

It's really tough to find quality music these days, particularly a whole albums worth. Thanks for lighting the flame of love inside me once again.

As usual the site is fantastic and I spent quite a while browsing. The American CD looks good, I know all the songs are on his other cd's but is there any chance it might get released here in the UK? I have just bought 'Quiet Revolution' and recommend it to anyone who doesn't have it.....he has captured some of his earlier work which although I love all his songs and lyrics, the oldies were my favourite, like 'The Tower' and 'Old Friend'

I was one of Chris's first fans. I saw
him back in 1976 at Preston when he was
supporting Gallagher & Lyle. He was
brilliant. I then saw him at Manchester
University - I got back stage then!
In 77-78 I saw him a couple of times in
Leeds when he came to the foyer and gave
me a boxed set of his albums!!!
I was going to organise his official fan
club but circumstances wouldn't allow it.
I last saw him live in the 80's in Dublin
that was a brilliant concert!
I made up a scrap book during the 70's -
it's good to look back on.

This side is OK. I love this music and also lirycs. I can hear it without end. Especialy "The Head And The Heart". "Man On The Line" was my first record of CdeB. One of My friedns bought it in 1985 in London and gave me becouse I wanted to hear this LP. In Poland in that time it was impossible.

I have been a fan of your's since catching a concert of yours on MTV back in the mid-80's. I've bought up as many of your albums as I could get my hands on, not an easy feat here in the USA, and have managed to convert many of my friends and family to your music. It clearly speaks across many generations.
Recently, a mailing list that I belong to lost a good friend of ours to a long battle with a lung ailment, and when I heard the news of her passing, your song "Carry Me (Like a Fire in your Heart" helped me to come to terms with my grief, and I shared the lyrics with my ListSibs. MY WIFE SAID WHY DON'T I GET HIM TO SING THE SONG WE HAD AS OUR BRIDAL WALTZ- "EVERY DROP OF RAIN" SO FEELING LIKE A FOOL I SHOUTED OUT MY REQUEST. HE FIRST OF ALL ASKED IF WE WERE STILL MARRIED. I have been an avid lover of your music since the late 70's when Spanish Train first appeared. I have been to two of your concerts, one in Durban in 77 and one in Pretoria (Power of 10) in 92.
I have since moved to New Zealand and don't hear much of you here.

I would just like to say that Chris de Burgh is a great man, I have grown up with his music, I am only 17. I've seen him concert and loved every second. I was planning for a career in veterinary science, but over the last year or so, after collecting all Chris' albums I am seriously thinking of a career in music. I play guitar and sing and I have been writing songs over the last year or so, they were very poor to start with but they are improving. Now, I actually LIKE one of the songs I have written which is unusual for me! Anyway, I was wondering how would I go about getting into the music industry? Does Chris Actually read these? I discovered Chris' music when The Getaway came out, and I've been a fan ever since. I wish Chris got more air play here in the US so that we would have the chance to see him in concert here. Believe me.. if he ever comes to my area, I'm guaranteed to be in the front row !!!! Keep it up Chris... love the new album just as much as all the others !!!!

Hey U.S. Fans ... We all need to tell Chris we really do enjoy his music here in the US!! I was hooked in 1982, and have struggled to find his music since. Chris has the amazing ability to write and sing from the heart while inspiring and touching the hearts of all who listen. After reading the concert reviews from this web site, my only regret is not being able to see him live in concert.

i have enjoid Chris's music over the years and have seen him in concert at least seven times. I feel that Chris has lost his way with the music that he is writing at the moment. I look forward to him getting back to the songs that tell a story as I think that what ever album I listen to there is a track to match my mood.

allée le voir en show au Centre Molson
de Montréal, j'ai beaucoup apprécié, il est
