Chris, you really do sing for your supper don't you? I came to see you at the MEN arena in Manchester and I couldn't believe how long you performed for - it was brilliant. I met you twelve years ago in Birmingham and you don't seem to have changed much - so how DO you go leaping about on stage for three hours? I'm 28 and I haven't got half the energy you have!!!
I would also like to say how delighted I was you pointed out the magnificent Liverpool victory over Man Utd at that concert - you're a lot braver than I would've been in your shoes - they're very sore losers!!!!

I don't expect you remember me but I was the girl in the Fire on the water and Lady in red video. I was hoping you might be able to do me a favour. I have the fire on the water video that somebody gave me in HMV many years ago but I would love to have the Lady in red video. I remember seeing a little bit of it when it was advertising Tower Records on the TV but have never seen the whole version with me in it! You know how it is when you are younger you take things for granted and I never kept alot of my work but now it would be so nice to show my children and husband. I've been following your music since 'Crusader' and it still 'does it for me'! We were at the concert in Sheffield last night and wanted to boogie with you but the 'hard men' wouldn't let us near the front! We boogied in the tiers instead (but too far away from you). We'll be at the next concert - keep up the good work.

dear Chris
last night I attended your concert in Sheffield, West York. 17/12/000. Again it was a fabulous night as were your other concerts. Only one thing spoiled it. Photography.Other people were taking pictures and my husband thought he would do the same. Our camera is a 35mm, and 25 years old. So, in order that I would have some pictures to remember the night by, he bought a zoom to fit on. he began taking the odd picture as everyone else, and the concert marshalls came and said that he could not use it, that he could only use a 35mm. he explained that he was using one and that he was only using the zoom, and he was told that your management team had seen it and that he had to put the camera away or the film would be confiscated. Chris, my argument is, had we bought one of the pocket size new digital camera with zoom on, nothing would have been said, it was only the fact that the zoom was bulky. No way was it proffessional. I bought the calendar that was on display outside, but due to lack of official photos, this would be my only reminder. I have attended many concerts of yours and this is the first time I have had trouble. Believe me these photos are just for my album, I am 53 years old, and have been a fan since the day you started. I hope you get this message. keep singing Chris.

I went to see you in concert on Tuesday 12th December 2000 at the CARDIFF INTERNATIONAL ARENA, and was so thrilled to see such a knockout performance. It was out of this world. Thank you for such a great concert. The energy that you put into The whole performance was spectacular. You didn't even have an interval. For well over three hours you rocked Wales sideways. The previous night TOM JONES was at the same venue and that was a very hard act to follow, especially as Wales is TOM's HOME COUNTRY. But Chris just wowed the whole place, and the reception was superb. What a fantastic concert at the "Armadillo" in Glasgow recently.
I recall many years ago that I wore a red dress to a concert that I was performing in to raise funds for Red Nose Day. Someone took a picture of me and reminded me of your lovely song, "Lady in Red".

Thank you for the music. What energy you have! Three hours live performance almost non-step. Now that is value!

It has been since september that i have written.Since then , yes there is snow here in New York and i have also purchased "QUIET REVOLUTION". As expected, AWESOME,just FABULOUS music by the greatest artist on this planet.Just like every other release Chris has put out ,"Quiet Revolution" has something for everyone.I was instantly attracted to "THE SAME SUN" and "SAINT PETERS GATE" but like every other CDEB release, i'm sure i'll have a different favorite every week until all the tracks from this cd are forever melted into the CDEB library in my mind.

I was very disapointed with the concert I went to last night in Cardiff. It went on too long, and WHY does chris feel the need to do covers!! I have been a fan for many years, and paid to hear his songs not the beatles or the eagles!! Does anyone agree? And please change the band. Your guitarists are trying to steal the show, why give them so much time to play solos.....we want to hear Chris!!!!

it was a great pleasure for me, to visit the very great show Art on Ice in Oberhausen on December 1, 2000. I am a Chris-de-Burgh fan since I can think. All his records belong to me. The show in Oberhausen was fantastic. The first part of the show - without Chris - was very boring. But after the break - when Chris enters the stage - it was fantastic, great, incredible... The scater glide over the ice, because of the unbelievable good music. It was a great show like all the others from Chris. I hope he will come back very soon to Germany, especially to Oberhausen.

I am searching for information concerning the Chris De Burgh Fan Club out of London. My Mother adores you and had every album you have ever put out. She faithfully goes to every concert in the Ottawa Area and she has wanted to join your fan club for years but I can't find the information to make this a reality for her at Xmas. Help!!! I want to say that your are the best singer in the world and your songs are really effective and nice. I've heard your songs several times and I'd try to collect your songs as much as I can. Now I have a collection Of your old songs but recently I heard one of your song which was "I was lost in the dark and the fears in my heart, All around me the forest and the rain and...".

It has been awhile since I have been able to listen to your music and I must say it is like a rediscovery. I hold one of my most prized possessions a picture of me with you framed with your autograph to me.
I remember listening to "Don't Pay the Ferryman" in the early 80's when it became a hit over here and then going out and buying the album and listening to it over and over. I had a friend who spent the summer in England and he told me how big you were over there. I then began to scour the stores for your albums and have quite a collection but it is missing the newer releases. I guess I will have to work on that!!

I'm really looking forward to the concert on friday the 8th december 2000. I am 21 and I first heard your music 2.5 years ago from a friend, who has sadly passed away since. It was Borderline and it brought a lump to my throat. It inspired me to teach myself the piano and Borderline was the first song I could play in full, closely followed by Risen Lord, Here Is Your Paradise, A Child is Born and many more of your best songs. Thank you for giving us the chance to hear your wonderful gift of music and song writing.
