I, like the rest of his fans, could spend hours talking about all the qualities that make Chris and his music one of the greatest contemporary musicians...

But no word could possibly describe the feelings that shake our hearts while I listen to his songs.

Chris is one of the very few artists who can trigger true feelings in our hearts, whether they be the tears of the soliders heading for the Borderline, the smiles of Patricia, or the complete and utter love of Lady in Red...

Chris is such a great singer/ song writer he can touch many a heart with his wonderful lyrics.
In my eyes he is a fantastic showman after atending many concerts dating back to 1987 , I have never come away
without feeling he sang to me personally , In the last three concerts i have managed to get to ( Leeds, Guildford and Hampton Court )I have been lucky enough to be near the front and Chris made me feel like i was the only person in the world and he was singing to me , not many performers have that much talent as i know im not the only one to feel that way after a concert .
I wish Chris all the best for his future and i look forward to listening to his music and hopefully many more new albums .

I'm a big fan of Elvis and I thought I would never like another singer too. But you prooved me wrong!!
The first time I heard your music, was on vaccation in Turkey, and when I got back, I immediately bought your cd's

Hi Chris...

All I gotta say is that you are my favorate artist of all time. Your music is on a plane of it's own.
I also try... play guitar. The first of your songs I ever learned was "Just Another Poor Boy", with my favorate being, "The Snows of New York. Only problem I have with it is I gotta pull up my pants real tight and even then I still don't quite make it as far as the singing goes.
Tell me, when are we going to see you in Durban again. I unfortunately missed you last visit here, not by choice!

On the off chance that Mr. de Burgh does have time and inclination to read this site's guestbook on occasion, a brief note of thanks for the inspiration your music has been in my life.I am a writer of poetry and songs, as well as the occasional short story, and I do think that the primary reason I became intrested in medieval-type ballads was hearing your song Crusader in my younger years. Through the wonders of technology, I've found this website where I can read the lyrics to many songs I may not have encountered otherwise (being from the USA).Unlike many US singers, you also show a great respect for your family and for humanity in general in your works, which is quite refreshing to find in this day and age. I think that the universal appeal of such expressive beauty and human values is clearly evidenced by the wide variety of fans you have from around the world. It must be a wonderful feeling to know that your works have made a real difference in the lives of many people. If you have a word of advice you are not too busy to impart to a struggling writer who cannot hope to make such a big impact, but would like to make what difference she can- please email me with the good word. At any rate, I did just learn something about myself- I'm still optomisitic enough to believe that some stars do take time to read their websites. =)

Just thought I'd relay something amusing that happened at my work. My workplace has a policy of only playing CD's that we sell. I didn't realize this, so I brought in some of my cd's in. I played QUIET REVOLUTION. Three people wanted to buy it. So, I sent them to HMV and they bought it.

I understand you are coming out to South Africa in February 2001. Carnival City is one of the new casinos since your last visit, when you appeared at The Carousel. I was General Manager there and have now moved to Carnival City. We have a superb superbowl facility here which can seat 5000 in the round or about 3,500 with a stage, depending on the setup. We've had Brian Ferry here earlier this year, if you'd like to speak to him as a reference for the facility - I'm sure he'll confirm we have a superb venue!
I'd really like to feature you for a couple of shows in February, if you could include this in your visit.

Hi, just recently got a copy of "Spark to a Flame". One little anomoly. The track listing has track 9 listed as Fatal Hesitation. The song on the track is Patricia the Stripper.

Anyone else have one of these?

As i see in your songs you are interested in religon and if someone doesn't know about christianity, may not understand some of your songs.
I have some questions.
In "the risen lord" have you really seen the risen lord?
What do you want to say in "spanish train"?
