Love your music since late 1970th when you had a tour in Hamburg called "an evening with Chris de Burgh". I sometimes miss songs like "Tourist Attraction", or "At The End of a perfect Day" and the anthems like Crusader. Still a fan and will always come to a concert when you are in Germany.

I first heard your songs 10 years ago, when the iron curtain rose up a bit. And it was the most impressive experience of my teen aging. I'm 26 now and I love your songs just the same way I did then. Your songs made me learn English 'cos I wanted to understand them. And your "Moonlight and Vodka" always made me sad, because it was about Russia and in fact it was not what I knew. i want you to know that i love Chris De burgh- and lol I'm only 15. Also- I've only heard one of his songs and that was on the radio!!! I love his song "Lady in Red" nomatter how many times i hear it i never get tired of it. i couldn't find the cd:-( so i'm downloading it off napster.com but then i'll buy the CD. :-) i first heard your song when my dance company did a dance to it when i was REALLY young and since then i get chills when i hear it. my mom loves it too. i love you!!!

We wanted to do something for your birthday that would make you happy,but we couldn't figure out exactly what.
Nothing we could come up with seemed
special enough for a wonderful person like you.A couple of times we thought we'd found the answer,but then we'd think NO,not good enough for our terrific friend.
We became obsessed.
We couldn't sleep. We couldn't eat.
Our work began to suffer as we fell
into a deep depression.

If only there were more people like you. You are the voice of those who cannot speak. You are the ears of those who cannot listen. You are the eyes of those who cannot see.

I remember myself as a teenager in the early eighties and going to that wonderful concert you gave here in Montréal. I remember myself closing my eyes and signing along with others thousands fans. Beeing a teenager was never easy but somehow you manage to send me your message. And I will always be thankfull that I listened to it.

The inspiration that awoke on that special night is still there even after all those years. I wish I could give a whole year of my life just to sit with you for a few minutes and talk about who you are. I know you are what you sing but I am sure that there is more to the man behind the signer.

Cheers to the purest voice, which sings the most romantic words set to music. Truly an inspirational person who I hope my son will grow to love as much as me - he's 4 months old and has been listening to Chris De Burgh since conception. He even went to a concert when I was 7 months pregnant with him. He loved it!!! :) He rolled around the entire time. It was a magical night for us both. I am usually not a lover of love songs but , Chris has a passion in his preformances that make you believe every word he says. I was lucky enough to see Chris here in the states, it was six flags in Atlanta 1984, I was front row dead center. However these days having three kids and not being a rich man ,i can only remember the past because im affraid the future does not look very bright for a Chris Deburgh concert in the USA.
