Saw CDeB on September 26, in Quebec city. If there is a place on earth were he have devoted fans it is Montreal and Quebec ! Tickets sold at light speed a month before the show and Chris had an ovation before he even started to play ! As for the performance, well it was .........
(insert your favorite superlative here). I don't remember seeing a show like this before. Peoples were singing/standing/clapping all the time.
He brought tears to my eyes twice when I believed I was a tough guy ;-)
I will carry the memory of that evening like, well...
like a fire in my heart !

Hi CdB Fans!
Here's a really great fan of CdB from Germany! He's just amazing, as well on one of his fantastic CDs as on a live concert. I visited three concerts of him since now, and I'm looking forward to the 17th of November, when Chris will be at Francfort! I thi

n

k his concert will really become a beautiful dream...
By the way: my favourites are Lonely Sky, Discovery, Revolution and Spanish Train. Hups, sorry, I forgot the delicious Patricia!
I wish you all more fantastic times with CdB and his wonderful music!! Bye!
PS: These pages are the best I've ever seen!!

Hello everyone!
I attended Chris' long-awaited concert return to his most-favourite city: Montreal! We've all loved him since the first time he appeared on CHOM radio and played in the little theaters and concert halls as well as the Old Forum. Tonight was the f

irst tim

e he's been at the new Molson Centre and the concert was absolutely mind-blowing!! Montreal fans have always been his most ardent admirers and tonight was no different; our love and admiration for him and his work showed in our applause -- it is the firs

t

time that I have seen Chris been brought to tears by the love of his "oldest & truest fans", all of us Montrealers... Chris was originally supposed to play only 90 minutes of acoustic in his first half but he got so carried away by the crowd that he pla

y

ed for at least *2 whole hours* before taking his break. A very lucky young lady by the name of "Marie Plourde" (sorry, no relation to me) was allowed to come up to the front and sing with him; she did an excellent job and received a standing ovation fro

m

the entire crowd of the Molson Centre!! No small feat as we can be pretty picky... All in all a wonderful and amazing evening, and I would expect no less from such a master troubadour. All my love to you Chris, from one of your long-time fans ~ Capucine

I've been a fan of Chris' since '74 in Montreal. Then we moved to Calgary and I saw him for the first time in the Univerisyt Theatre in Calgary and have seen every concert since. This last one was the best, unplugged, personal, intimate.
Thanks Chris for "staying" around.

I've seen every one of Chris' concerts, and saw his last one last week here in Calgary. It was so intimate, beautiful, powerful. Afterwards he went to a local restaurant as he had said he would and we met him.
He is such a humble man, spiritual as I am, and if you read this Chris thank you for your time and energy from the concert to being in Joey's.
This comes from someone who has grown with you, seen all of your concerts beginning with the University Theatre in Calgary. You mean a lot to me and my heart.

Simply, Chris De Burgh writes some of the best compositions in the music world and he has a history as long as the Rolling Stones. Being in the states I have a problem getting a hold of the albums (most I have to acquire via import orders) so now I

know the symphony album exists from 95' but I hope Chris keeps that harder edge guitar in his music like that found in 'High on Emotion', the Vision 3-part song off Into the Light, Heart of Darkness, Silent World ect... As a artist myself, I appreciate t

he heart-felt emotion of the music and its complexiety in form and content. Thanks for all those albums, keep it up.

I have been a fan of Chris de burgh ever since the summer he released his Getaway album. Since that time I have worn out his getaway album twice on tape and now have bought the same album on CD. (As well as everyother Album that he has ever put out. (From Beyone These Castle Walls - Beautiful Dreams). There are very few artisis out there that come anywhere near this mans incredible talent. Chris if you happen to read this I want to thank you. Your music has brought me great pleasure over the years and I know that I will never grow tire of your great songs.
Without trying to sound Corny thank-you and please, please don't ever stop making beautiful music. Your songs are classics, you can tell when a musician has put his heart and soul into his songs and for that we are all privliaged to listen to the fruits of your emense talents.

A grateful fan and admire: Grant Williams

Fantastic concert; felt like a "personal" tribute to the people of Halifax, with him doing many requests, although we had to wait until the very end before he would do "Patricia"!

I too have been a fan for a long time. The sentimental factor plays in since my first boyfriend introduced me to Chris' albums. He had spent the summer of 1983 in Germany and was fortunate enough to see Chris in concert. He gave me tapes of "Castle W

alls", "Spanish Train", "Perfect Day" and "Getaway". Does anyone know if they are available on CD in the US. I have played my tapes so often that they are just about worn out. It's hard to pick a favorite song although "Patricia the Stripper" is one f

a

vorite (ha-ha). I, too, wish that the US was more cultured. Thanks for putting in the time to create and update this page. Keep up the good work!

Great Page! :) I have been a fan of Chris de Burgh for as long as I can remember. Last night I drove into St. John's with mom to see him play at Memorial Stadium. I must say it was great! If he is reading this I would like to say thanks for the good time and for the compliments to our island they were well appreciated. I also thought that it was very nice to see him call someone up from the audience to sing with him.
I would also like to suggest to him that when he returns to Newfoundland that he visit Castle Hill National Historic Site In Placentia, which is the fort which protected the former 17th century capital of New France, Plaisance. I think it would be of great interest to him. This is a great page you've got here,
keep up the good work!

Many thanks for maintaining this page. I was looking for a list of the destinations of Chris De Burgh's Canadian tour. Several hours of ransacking various netsites of concert listings and similar stuff lead to nothing but a headache and wasted hours

Then (dramatic pause for effect) it occured to me to look for a site devoted to the artist, instead of the medium. I wish I'd looked for your site earlier. I'm impressed by the amount of time and effort you must have put into this.

Took my husband to see Chris' concert here in Toronto over the weekend.
It was fantastic! I didn't think I would like a solo singer, but it was amazing! The orchestra back up in the second half of the show was great as well.
Chris really knows how to work a crowd, he makes every song and move a personal thing and the audience loved it!

I hope he returns soon, I would love to see him again.

Saw Chris de Burgh's concert last night in Toronto. I agreed to go with my wife, because she's always been such a big fan of his. After the second song, I too was hooked. He put on an excellent show! It was obvious that he enjoyed himself, and he really gave the crowd their money's worth! I've loved Chris de Burgh's music ever since I was a little kid and Spanish Train came out. Since that time, I've seen him several times in concert and often return to his music for sentimental reasons. Lots of memories of times spent with friends, li

s

tening to his music while sitting around a bonfire. I'm a journalist now and had a chance to interview him this week. Personally, it was a thrill, but of course I had to be professional and not waste his time with my own personal thoughts and feelings! S

t

ill, he was a delight to talk to (and I can't say that about all the musicians I've interviewed -- trust me). Linda

Hi Joe! This is Donna, visiting on a friend's computer and I wanted to check out the page on a VDT where I could actually see everything instead of looking through a fuzzy haze. Maybe I need to dust more... See you on the list! Donna

Zack needs to take a pill and lay down. I will allways be glad to welcome a new fan into the fold no matter what brought them. My personal hook was "Don't Pay the Ferryman" in the early 80's. My (maybe) all time favorite is "the Girl with April in H

er Eyes", it may be the most emotionaly packed ballad ever. I just wish I lived closer to a country with good taste in music!

Hello again, I wrote an entry a few days ago and have since heard that Chris De Burgh is coming in concert to Canada. Though I live in Connecticut, I would gladly travel the 8-9 hours to see him in Ottawa on the 28th of September. Unfortunately, I d

n't know how to find out about ticket information, and I don't have an E-mail address currently to contact some of you from the Ottawa area who have left messages here. And, of course, time is now short. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD W

Been a Chris de Burgh fan as long as I can remember. Last concert was Into The Light concert in Hamilton, Ontario, with front row centre seats!! I have been looking for concert listings ever since and have either missed them or they have not existed

.

If you have any idea of future North American concert listings I would appreciate an e-mail. The guest book is a great idea. Take care.

Chris De Burgh's music is wonderful on so many levels,
so I just can't understand why more people in the United States aren't familiar with him. I actually kind of enjoy being one of very few Americans who is familiar with this amazing musician and songwriter; it makes his music all the more special. His music has been the only thing to bridge the generational music gap between my parents and me.

Chris is the best!
I have loved all of his albums from my first hearing of
"A spaceman" back in 76.
My favourite album of all time is still "At the end of a perfect day"...I love every single note on the album.
I have seen him many times; several in the U.K. and once here in Australia.

Keep up the great work.

From a devoted CDB fan, best wishes,

Steve.

Hi! Great stuff! Glad to know there are others out there!
I've been a fan since "Don't Pay the Ferryman" (my most favourite songs are still on _The Getaway_), and have spent a lot of time since then getting whatever I could get my hands on. One of the brightest moments of the last few months was discovering a CD rerelease of _Crusader_ at Media Play--much better than scratched second-hand vinyl!

Blessings,
Valerie

Very impressive page...glad I found you.
I just got my tickets to see CdeB in Toronto this month.
I haven't seen him since the early 80's...pre "Lady.."
I'm thrilled to hear he will be playing some early material on this tour as Spainish Train has been haunting me since 1977.

Looking forward to meeting fellow fans on the mail list and I'll visit here often.

Regards,
Craig Sauer Niagara Falls, Canada
