Got my first taste of Chris, back from when I first heard Man on the line.. We were just high school kids, but he definately caught our attention! Since then I've had a few albums but nothing could compare to having attended his Concert in Ottawa last September. I was visiting for a few weeks, and was invited to tag along. I'd been to other concerts, but nothing like this.
I'm hooked, I'm on the hunt to find them all now.. :)

A couple of my favorite tunes are Lonely Sky, In a Country ChurchYard and The Traveller...

Anyhow, wanted to leave a note, and say hello, that I was here.
I live in BC, but spent a great deal of time in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.. gonna be on a Chris watch now, that's for sure!

Keep up the good work!

Very nice website, Joe. I have been an avid listener to our favourite bard since the release of his Getaway album. Unfortunately, I moved from Canada to the U.S. in 1986, which has made the acquisition of information as well as his albums near impossi

b

le without making constant trips into New Brunswick, Canada. Your site will serve as a very good source to keep myself up on the greatest storyteller of the last two decades. I will defintiely be back. Keep up the great work!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe I found this page. We have been big fans since Spanish Trains and have seen Chris twice in Winnipeg Canada. We love his music and have all of the CDs. We ran through all os his tapes until there was nothing left of them. We

have turned on more people to his music than we can count. Thanks so much for this page and keep us up to date on Chris.

I think Chris DeBurgh is one of the best male singers I've ever heard.
I really love the song "The Lady In Red", not to mention his story telling, like "Spanish Train".

I like His songs very much. He is my favourite singer. But unfortunatuly I can't see Him alive. I like His last album "Beutiful Dreams". I try to get the lyrics of Chris de Burgh's songs to sing them with Him.

I have been a fan of Chris' since the very first time I heard "Don't Pay the Ferryman" back in '82 or '83. I immediately bought up all his old albums I could find. I was hooked. I guess after "Into the Light" his popularity waned and I lost touch w

i

th what he was doing. thanks for having this page. Now that I know he's had several albums since then I'll definitely have to get them.

I was delighted to find such a wonderful website on my favourite artist, Chris de Burgh. I've been a fan for 15 years, have been to 2 concerts so far, and look forward to more! His music and lyrics are the BEST! I even postponed a trip in order to go to his latest concert in Toronto. I wouldn't do that for any other show!

Great page! I have been a fan since the Crusader album and Eastern Wind definetly hooked me (especially after going to the concert). My two favorite albums are Far Beyond These Castle Walls and Man On the Line (or like Chris said at the Montreal conc

I first heard about Chris de Burgh when I was 10 years old and have followed him now for the past 7 years. My favourite album is one of his newer ones, Power Of Ten. I was at the Chris de burgh concert in Toronto last September and thought that it was the best concert I had ever been to.

Hi Joe,
Similar to yourself I became hooked on CdeB in '86 with the Into the Light album. I've got all his recordings but have only had the pleasure of seeing him live on one occassion in 1990. Aus. radio doesn't play his music and I doubt if he's likely to t

our out here for that reason. They don't know what they are missing !!!
Great web site !!!
If you are really lucky you might be able to get CdeB himself to do an online chat or interview for you.

Thanks again.

Hi everyone! I´ve loved Chris´s songs for 15 years but I have never had the chance to see him perform live (as far as I know he has never had concerts in Finland...). I have been in Ireland twice and I visited the castle area (where he used to live when he was younger - now his parents live there).
Now when I found these pages and concert tour dates I am wondering if I have to fly down to Hamburg to finally see him in concert???
Does anyone know if his tour will come any closer to Finland than Hamburg? - for example to Sweden, Norway or Denmark??? I would really be thankful for such news!!!

Hi Joe:

Thanks for providing more information on CDeb.

I was at his concert Sept.23/96 at the St.John's, NF Memorial Stadium it was an awsome concert.

I think he is just terrific and he has a Super personality. I've been a fan for about 17 years now or so. This has been the first chance I've gotten out to see his concert. I hope he joins us next year for our Cabot 500 celebration this will be a big big event. I hear there will be some 37 or so bands lined up for next summer.

He did mention that he would return real real soon. Hopefully he'll be there.

Keep up the good work on your homepage. See yah.

I have been a fan of Mr. de Burgh's music since 1975 and have seen him in concert every time he has come to Ottawa,
Ontario. My husband and I had tickets for the Sept. 28/96 concert at the Civic Centre but alas, I became ill and was too sick to attend. When my husband came home from the concert and I asked him how it was, he sorrowfully told me that it was the concert I had been waiting to attend all my life - Chris de Burgh up close and personal - taking requests,
allowing people up on stage to sing - just him - no backup band, no fuss, no muss. I cried like a baby as I have always felt that this incredibly gifted performer and incredibly powerful songwriter was doing himself a grave disservice not showcasing HIMSELF more. I never had any trouble picturing him playing in a small club where the fans are very loyal and the venue is very intimate.

Mr. de Burgh, if you read this page, please come back to Ottawa, Ontario soonest and please come back live & unplugged.
If I saw it once, I would die a contented woman.

You are the reason why I write songs now and you are the reason why I learned to play the guitar.

I think you are wonderful.
